Mods Used

Remember: Read all of the description pages for the mods that you want to use.

Some mods have requirements, so always click on “Requirements” to see if you need to download another mod. Some mods (mostly texture mods) have a Priority that needs to be set, so pay attention with those or your mods will not function properly in game, then you’ll be upset and want to blame the mod creator that is creating mods for free when it’s because of you not reading all of the Description page.

So, again, READ THE DESCRIPTON PAGE!

A word or two about the Community Patch mods.
The mods that I am referring to are:

Community Patch – Base
Community Patch – Bootstrap and Utilities
Community Patch – Menu Strings
Community Patch – Shared Imports
Community patch – Besserwisser’s Fix Collection (Including Nitpickers Patch)

I used to use all of them except 1: Shared Imports. There was always a problem with Shared Imports and the mods that I used. Not only that, but there is also only a small number of mods that have their scripts changed for it to be beneficial. Now I only use Menu Strings & Besserwisser. None of the CP mods are required for any of my mods below. Friendly Meditation is the only one with a requirement of Unification Patch or Community Patch – Base. But Friendly Meditation works fine with the Custom Localization Fix Updated that I released earlier. So, when you are looking for mods, not all of them will require any of the CP mods. Always question what is required and can a mod work without something else. Never take a mod at face value, it could break a mod that you are using. Or could break your game.

Recommended Priority load order when it comes to NPC and Geralt texture edits. Lower numbers load first.
A.   Hair Mods – Start with the number 30 to leave lower numbers if other mods require to be loaded before NPC changes.
B.   Eye Mods – Numerically Higher than Hair
C.   Hands Mods (Clean Hands, hand Effects) – Numerically Higher than Eyes
D.   Complexion Mods – Numerically Higher than Hand Replacers
E.   Body Mods – Numerically Higher than Complexions
F.   Outfit Mods – Numerically Higher than Body
G.   Humans of the Continent – Numerically Higher than Outfits (Only Body mod allowed to be Prioritized this way).
H.   HDMonsters Reworked – Numerically Higher than HotC
I.     High Definition Rework Project – Numerically Higher than HDMR

When you see the following words:

Hair Mod
Eye Mod
Hands Mod
Complexion Mod
Body Mod
Outfit Mod

Look at the above Priority Load Order.

1.      Mod Limit Fix or Mod Limit Adjuster: Required. Use either one. Mod Limit Fix changes the witcher3.exe (more invasive way to fix). Mod Limit Adjuster                 adds 3 files to the game’s x64 folder (doesn’t change the witcher3.exe).
2.      Merged Free DLC – Mod Limit Fix: Required. Helps with the Texture Mods file size limit still present even after using a Mod Limit fix. Carefully read the               description to understand how to utilize this.
3.      The Witcher 3 Mod Manager: Recommended manager to use with TW3. Better than crappy Vortex, shitty Mod Organizer & Mod Organizer 2. Don’t use                  NMM either, none of them install Witcher 3 mods correctly. If you don’t use TW3MM, manual installation of all mods is a must.
4.      Script Merger: Required. Merges scripted mods. Has been updated so, the unofficial patch is no longer needed.
5.      Witcher 3 Mod Merger: This should be called Texture Merger. You can only use this for Textures, will not merge SWF & XML files with textures.
6.      Official MODkit 1.3: Required. Can’t use Mod (Texture) Merger without it.
7.      A Night to Remember Appearance with Glowing Runes: Medallion & Swords – thin_o_vintage
8.      Achievement StatTrak: Read Description to learn about placing the menu.txt file in its proper location.
9.      Additional Stash Locations
10.    All Paintings to Buy
11.    All Quest Objectives on Map: Full Version for games1.30-1.32 only
12.    Ammo Boost: Your Choice
13.    Anna the Baroness Complexion Mod
14.    Another Gwent Cards Retexture: This only covers the Northern Realms deck.  Creator used Cosplayers. This is an Adult retexture. If you have a different             Gwent Retexture, place this higher in Priority (lower numerical number) than the other one. The Gwent mods can be lower in priority (higher numerical                 number) in your Load Order
15.    Ard Bombs
16.    AutoLoot Configurable All-In-One: Highly Recommended. Has Custom Menu. Read Description to learn about placing the menu.txt file in its proper                      location.
17.    Balanced Bombs: Your Pick
18.    Balanced Upgrades
19.    Bathsebah's Keira Metz Edit - Face: Choose the Optional File and download. Unzip it, move the folder “modkeira_enhancedlashes_uniqueeyes” to your                  game’s Mods folder manually. You need this mod because Triss’ eyes share the same with Keira’s. Place it lower numerically than any Triss Eye mod.
          Eye Mod

26.    Brothers In Arms - TW3 Ultimate Bug Fix Collaboration:586 Total Fixes to the game. This is a must have! Change the Priority Number to the 3 folders to              7, 8 & 9. 37.    Colored Map Markers: Get the All Quest Objectives compatible version
38.    Combo Blood
39.    Community Patch - Besserwisser's Fix Collection (Including Nitpickers Patch): Grab Main File. If you played TW3 when it first released, there was a                    different color version of Starting Armor that Geralt wore. Grab the Old Colors Experimental file to change it back to before patch 1.21. Don’t worry about            the Experimental name, this works perfectly fine.
40.    Community Patch – Menu Strings: You need this if you have more than 8 mods that has custom menus. Read the description page for more information.
41.    Configurable Boat Speed: Custom Menu Based mod. Read Description to learn about placing the menu.txt file in its proper location. You need this to                    change the boat speed in order to sail faster in Skellige.
42.    Craft Starting Gear: This mod is used if you sell your starting armor, and you want it back for displaying your armor at home.
43.    Custom Localization Fix Updated: Use this only if you are not using the Unification Patch or the Community Patch – Base.
44.    Don’t Fear Quen
45.    Eilheart’s Eyes Restored: Eye Mod
46.    El’s Custom Complexions: This mod has 22different modded complexions. Choose who you want. Place them numerically higher than Hair & Eye mods.
47.    Elys – All Skills Active
48.    Enchantments for All Gear Types
49.    Enhanced Quen Updated for 1.30 and 1.31: Read the description to find out how to customize this mod.
50.    ESGO – Enemy Scaling and Gameplay Overhaul: Highly Recommended if you are not using TW3EE mod, Ghost Mode mod or anything like that. Read the
description, there is a link to a website explaining what all settings will do. Read Description to learn about placing the menu.txt file in its proper location.

          [Exploration]
          IK_Pad_A_CROSS=(Action=ForceTheDoorOpen,State=Duration,IdleTime=0.5)
          IK_E=(Action=ForceTheDoorOpen,State=Duration,IdleTime=0.5)

60.    Friendly Meditation: Read the description on how to key bind the Meditation. Read Description to learn about placing the menu.txt file in its proper                        location.
61.    Geralt in Brothel: NSFW, very adult type of mod. Two different options, depending on what you chose for other mods.
62.    Geralt is Rich: When Script Merging, I suggest when you see this line:

                thePlayer.AddMoney(50000)

change the value from 50000 to 3000. Or you can change it to any amount you like. Unless you want overkill on funds.

72.    Harbor Names Restored

74.    Immersive Real Time Cutscenes: Read the very detailed description page. Will conflict with every texture mod that is for characters. Script Merge needs              to be used & Mod Merger needs to be used. Do not merge with character changes or it will not work properly.
