About this mod

This mod adds animation, furniture and pose XML for Native Animation Framework (NAF). There are XML for 8 animation mods, 12 pose mods and 63 furniture mods.

Some XML files I made for Native Animation Framework (NAF) so you can play animations and poses with it. Also makes it so you can play the animations and poses without a plugin. I've also created some face animations/expressions in-game with NAF and added them to some of the animations.

How to play animations and poses with NAF:

Use MCM to set a hotkey to open the NAF menu (or use cgf "NAF.ToggleMenu" console command instead), select actors and then select an animation or pose mod in the NAF menu.

Some animations and poses will use position trees. For animations and poses that uses position trees, you need to switch to the next animation/pose in the tree with the arrow keys.  If you use mods to start animations instead of using the menu then it should switch/advance to the next animation in the tree automatically (after 10-40 seconds). You can open the positionTreeData XMLs and adjust the timers there if you feel that this is too long or too short.

Note that if you use the NAF menu to start an animation/pose on an NPC and not the player (or if a mod does it) then you may not be able to control the tree (the NPC will do it by itself).  If you want to play all animations/poses without using position trees, open the positionData XMLs with a text editor and change "isHidden="true" to false (or just remove it).

(Optional) How to play animations and poses without a plugin (ESP-less):

If the animations/poses are packed in a BA2 archive, you need to unpack the archives since the game won't load archives without a plugin. If they are not, the only thing you need to do is remove/disable their plugins. However, there are some things that may not work when these mods are made ESP-less (for example, animation sounds and animation objects).

Instead of disabling the plugins - you could also compact the FormIDs and flag the animation and pose plugins (not the furniture plugins) as ESL plugins (if they aren't already). Doing this won't break the animation and pose XMLs.

Requirements


  • Native Animation Framework (NAF)
  • NAF Bridge - Required if you want to use the furniture XMLs. NAF may not detect all furniture without it.
  • Pre-NG version (1.10.163) of Fallout 4. NAF has not been updated for Fallout 4's next-gen (NG) version.
And at least one of the mods listed in the spoilers below.

Animations

Atomic Lust (Adult) by TheRealRufgt
- This mod have AAF.esm as a master. You need to use the NAF Bridge or make the mod ESP-less if you want to use it without AAF. Its files are packed into a BA2 archive and needs to be unpacked first - if you decide to make it ESP-less.

I've also made XMLs for the optional animations (Raid My Heart and Rufgt's Old Animations) so download these as well if you want to use them.

C.H.A.K. Animation Pack (Adult) by AVilas
- Its files are not packed into a BA2. You can make it ESP-less but the animations will not have any sound if you do.

Only requires the main file. The two optional files named "(XML Files) Infatuation - CBBE Curvy Preset 1.15" and "(XML Files) Infatuation - Apple Preset 1.15" aren't necessary. You can download the Bodyslide preset if you want to use it but it is not required either.

California Gurls Dance by WLNakgo
- Its files are not packed into a BA2. You can remove its plugin but one of the two animations will not have sound if you do.

Dancecyclopedia by radbeetle
- These animations are from Adobe's Mixamo library. You can make this one ESP-less, no problem. Its files are not packed into a BA2.

Mixamo Animation Collection from Bethesda Mod School Resources (you don't need the rest)
- This will add a lot of animations (over 2.000) to your NAF menu. You can make this one ESP-less, no problem. Its files are not packed into a BA2.

- Its files are packed into a BA2 archive and needs to be unpacked first - if you decide to make it ESP-less.

Quick Change Armor by toounx
- This mod adds a new menu that you can use to quickly change clothing instead of using the Pip-Boy to do it. It also adds a few animations and poses that you can now play with NAF.

I've created some face animations/expressions with NAF's in-game creator. The animations from the CHAK and Atomic Lust animation packs will use these.

- The duo poses from this mod will require manual adjustments to look good. You can make this one ESP-less, no problem. Its files are not packed into a BA2.

Slave and Model Poses (Adult) (F) by Chonkinator
- These poses uses animobjects. Animobjects will not work if you make the mod ESP-less.

Summer Beach Poses (Adult) (F) by NotSiouxsie
- This mod also adds equipable items which you can't use if you make it ESP-less.

Dynamic Pinup Pose (Adult) (F) by truongbaloc
- You can make this one ESP-less but you need to unpack its archive first.

Pole Poses (Adult) (F) by DeathByKitty
- You will need to install another mod that adds poles to play the poses on if you decide to make this mod ESP-less. If you compact the IDs and ESL-flag it, you'll need to update the FormID for the pole in the furnitureData XML.

Lazmans Poses (Adult) (F) by Lazman555
- You can make this one ESP-less, no problem. Its files are not packed into a BA2.

RC's Centerfold Poses (Adult) (F) by RogueCyborg
- You can make this one ESP-less, no problem. Its files are not packed into a BA2.

Note: Not all furniture from these mods have been included in these XML. Some furniture had too much clipping or animations didn't look right when played on it (for example, some beds were too low or too high and the actors would float in the air or clip inside the beds). And some furniture just didn't have any animations made for it.

If you use the Settlement Menu Manager mod, I have made SMM patches for 27 of these furniture mods so your workshop won't get too cluttered: Settlement Menu Manager Patches (SMM), but these patches are not required.

Compatibility

The furniture XMLs will not work if you have compacted the formIDs to flag the plugins from the furniture mods as ESLs (light plugins).

If you use Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) to install mods, MO2 might say that there is "no valid game data" after you install my mod. Just right-click on my mod in Mod Organizer 2 and then select 'Ignore missing data'. Everything will still work fine anyway.

If you have moved the animation and pose .hkx files somewhere else, changed the names of the folders they're in and/or changed the names of the .hkx files, NAF won't be able to find them and play them if you don't update the XMLs.

For example, the Mixamo animations are located in "Actors\Character\animations\AnimPreviews". If you changed the name of the "AnimPreviews" folder to something else then you need to open the MixamoAnimations_animationData XML and update the path there.

For example, change "actor file="Actors\Character\animations\AnimPreviews\Acknowledging_Gesture.hkx"in the XML to "actor file="Actors\Character\animations\NewFolderName\ChangedAnimationName.hkx"
