Changelogs
These are Open Cities Skyrim patches for mods I am using that I have (mostly) not found elsewhere and thus created myself. This page is for simpler patches. More complex patches (in particular patches with city overhauls) are/will be hosted on different pages (see below).

Mod summary
Patches are included for the following mods:
  • Balthazar's Books - A Markarth Bookstore Remastered (copies bookstore exterior to the open worldspace and links the door)
  • Balthazar's Books - AI Overhaul (moves one AI marker, fixes holes in entrance)
  • Beyond Skyrim - Bruma - Tamrielic Influence (copies objects from the Riften marketstand to the open worldspace)
  • Caught Red Handed - Quest Expansion (moves two encounter markers to the open worldspace)
  • Civil War Overhaul (conflict resolution on one record and a few tweaks I think will make sense if playing both mods together. Untested, so please let me know if you experience other issues combining these mods)
  • ELFX Shadows (copies lighting controllers to the open worldspace, and moves a few lamps)
  • ezPG (+extra option for Light and Shade expansion) (see details in the dedicated section below)
  • Finding Susanna Alive (moves trigger to open worldspace)
  • Falling Gildergreen Petals (copies falling leaves in Whiterun to open worldspace)
  • G.I.R.T.H. - Gildergreen Is Really Thicc HD (forwards changes to the Gildergreen position to the Open Cities version)
  • Greater Markarth Expansion - JK's Understone Keep (conflict resolution with the navmesh patch I created for the non-OCS version)
  • JK's Angeline's Aromatics (navmesh connection patch)
  • JK's Bards College - AI Overhaul (adjusts a few AI markers)
  • JK's Bards College - Immersive Encounters (moves one encounter marker)
  • JK's Bee and Barb - AI Overhaul (moves a few AI markers)
  • JK's Skyrim - Realistic Water Two (moves RWT's horse troughs from the JK's Skyrim patch to the open worldspace)
  • JK's Winking Skeever - Alternate Start (adjusts the Roggvir scene trigger marker to cover the balcony)
  • Leaps of Faith (copies objects and transfer scripts to relevant objects in the open worldspace)
  • Leaps of Faith - Legacy of the Dragonborn (resolves a conflict with Legacy of the Dragonborn)
  • Majestic Mountains (retextures mountainous assets from Open Cities to be consistent with Majestic Mountains)
  • Realistic Boat Bobbing (adds bobbing to a boat in Riften)
  • Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (modifies several dialogue conditions to account for Open Cities)
  • Riften Docks Overhaul (connects the navmesh between Riften Docks overhaul and Open Cities. Also adjusts the Oblivion gate so it does not bleed into the clutter added by Riften Docks)
  • Riften Extension - Southwoods District (connects the navmesh between Riften Extension - Southwoods Disctrict and Open Cities. Also fixes several navmesh issues and adds more occlusion planes to the new district to improve performance)
  • Seagulls of Skyrim (copies seagulls in Riften to the open worldspace)
  • Seasonal Landscapes (swaps the moss in Solitude during autumn and land textures in Riften and Whiterun during spring and summer with variants from Seasonal Landscapes. Adds snow to the Whiterun landscape meshes in winter)
  • SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators (transfers two dogs to the open worldspace)
  • SofiaFollower (moves a few records and changes some dialogue conditions to account for Open Cities)
  • Stones of Solitude - Better Blended Rock Piles (contains a SWAP file with the Open Cities records, so they too will get the improved rock meshes)
  • Storefront - Civil War Repairs (moves two AI markers away from the market stand)
  • Waterplants (copies the waterplants in Whiterun to the open worldspace)
  • WiZkiD Wells with real water (copies or moves well water in Whiterun and Solitude to the open worldspace)

General comments

There exists a patch for Leaps of Faith at Gardden's Open Cities patches, but since I also provided a patch for Legacy of the Dragonborn, I am providing my own. I am also not sure the other patch covers everything it should. Don't try to use the Legacy of the Dragonborn patch with Gardden's patch!

The patch for FSA - Finding Susanna Alive has the BOTI Redux version as a master. It should be possible to swap it with the regular file using WryeBash.

The patch for Gildergreen Is Really Thicc HD will probably be redundant in a future update, but as far as I can tell it is still needed.

The Optimisation Additions file is recommended for players who use performance-heavy town overhauls, such as the JKs Skyrim + Dawn of Skyrim OCS patch available here: Random Open Cities Patches.

My time is limited, so I am not likely to accept requests for patches for other mods.

Mutual compatibility
Direct conflicts:
  • The Riften Docks Overhaul patch would need another patch to work with Riften Extension and/or JK's Bee and Barb. A multiway patch that includes a couple of other mods as well is included on the JK's Skyrim - Dawn of Skyrim page (see below), but if you only want to include these mods you would have to create your own.
  • The Riften Extension patch needs to load after the JK's Bee and Barb patch.

Indirect conflicts:
  • For a couple of the parent mods (mostly JK's Skyrim, AI Overhaul, and Sofia Follower), there are conflicts in areas not covered by Open Cities. For most of these, patches should be available on Nexus Forums.
  • The JK's Skyrim and combined JK's Skyrim + Dawn of Skyrim OCS patches need patches to work with AI Overhaul, Storefront, JK's Angeline's Aromatics, JK's Bee and Barb, JK's Winking Skeever, Riften Extension, and Riften Docks Overhaul. I have uploaded patches to most of these for the combined JK+DoS patch on the page below, but don't have any available for the standalone JK's Skyrim patch.
  • There may be problems using Sofia Follower together with SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators, but I have not tested myself.

Load order
Open Cities Skyrim.esp should load after all non-Open Cities mods with references inside or in the vicinity of the walled cities. That includes mutual patches between these mods, regardless of whether a multi-way patch between these is needed for their respective Open Cities versions or not. What is important is that Open Cities Skyrim.esp should win all conflicts with any such mod. For other rules, you can refer to the modgroups files I have provided in relevant (but limited) cases, or check out my other Open Cities mod pages, where I have shared my own load order.

Notes about the ezPG patch
ezPG is a collection of mods by Craftian, where some need to be patched for Open Cities, whereas others don't. I started out by patching the original Citizens mod and then switched to ezPG, since it contains a more up-to-date version. What I originally missed, though, is that this also contains a couple of "core" modules, namely Nessa, Light and Shade, Dzarkim, and Teleportation Cubes, which are installed regardless of which option you choose. Therefore, version 1 only patches the contents from Citizens, not the other core modules. I am keeping it on the mod page for players who only want to use the original Citizens, but since that mod is no longer supported by the mod author, I will not maintain this patch. Therefore, you will also have to switch the master to Citizens.esp in WryeBash yourself.

In the most recent version, I have added support for Mythos as well, and made the module selection customisable in the FOMOD installer (make sure to only select one version of the ezPG patch, though). It turns out that Marked for Death, Faction Exclusivity, and Emberveil Estate are compatible with Open Cities, so these can be included with either option (Emberveil Estate is even a standalone plugin, so it does not need any patch at all). However, I have not included any patch for Redux, and will only do so if there is a strong demand for it.

Finally, Light and Shade got an update in its standalone mod that has not been carried over to the collection plugin, so to fix this TheShiningAbsol created a patch to incorporate the new content with ezPG. I have included a minor Open Cities patch for this in the installer.
