What this mod does:
This mod replaces the Gildergreen tree in Whiterun with a new high poly photo-realist model. It supports for now WrTempleTree01, WrTempleTree02, and WrTempleTreeSapling01. A future update will cover roots, and possibly Eldergleam Tree.
The main mesh was ported from Sketchfab(source in the Credits section), and the sapling tree was made by me, using Speed Trees.
The main tree was ported to Blender to be decimated from 30k polygons to 14k polygons, then ported over to Nifskope to be ported to the game. Textures were converted to Skyrim's DDS using Photoshop and edited by BoxCat to fit better the tree. Then the models were imported to Creation Kit to control the leaves amplitude, and fix the tranforms (position/scaling/rotation) at the Whiterun plaza to prevent clipping with objects around.
DON'T FORGET IT'S STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS AND IT MIGHT NOT BE PERFECT IN THE FIRST VERSIONS
Installation:
Download and install the mod as a regular mod. Make sure it wins every conflict in order to be working as intended. Sorting the plugin using LOOT should be fine.
Compatibility:
Any mods that modifies the Gildergreen meshes are incompatible.
Gildergreen Regrown - Compatible
Falling Gildergreen Petals - Compatible, yet will need a fix for a better match
