About this mod

A high fantasy overhaul of both male and female NPCs. Over 100 covered so far. Uses whatever body meshes and textures you use. ESL flagged and only requires High Poly Head and Fantasy NPCs - Resources. Separate male, women, and elves modules available.

I've always loved the anime-style NPC overhauls for Skyrim (which were more prevalent on Legendary Edition TwT), but many of them are hard to find, not in English, have many requirements, all look the same, or don't fit the characters' age or personality. Not to mention it is nearly impossible to find any for males or elderly people! So I eventually learned how to make my own, on the quest to make EVERY named NPC fit my anime aesthetic! >:3 Now your anime followers and characters won't have to stick out so much! Therefore... Increasing your immersion.


tl;dr: This mod overhauls several NPCs to give a semi-realistic anime style look. The looks are inspired by a mixture of games like Final Fantasy as well as real life pictures of the people who inspire the humanoid races!

Features
* Covers 100+ female and male characters, including some elderly
* Already includes the brows, eyes, complexions, and hairs used to save you gigabytes of space
* Uses YOUR skin textures/body
* More humanoid elves
* Separate modules for men, women, and elves (female and male separated)
* Younger looking young male characters (when it fits)
* Mature characters still look mature, but their age may be more subtle
* Smooth high poly heads
* Tries to fit the characters' personality, race, background, age, et cetera
* Semi lore-friendly & diverse. You should be able to tell an imperial from a breton now (hopefully).

- Wood elves have tan/human skin
- High elves have golden skin
- Dark elves have their usual gray/purple skin with more diverse eye colors
- Imperials have tan skin, usually dark curly hair and looks inspired by Greeks/Romans
- Nords are pale with cool-colored eyes and thick brows
- Bretons have fair complexions (more warm than the Nords') with slightly pointed ears (straight from the lore)

USSEP

Installation
1. Install the Fantasy NPCs - Resources file from the downloads on this mod page.
2. Grab High Poly Head if you haven't already.
 3. Grab some skin textures if you need to.
4. Please install with a mod manager like MO. Data folders can get messy and hard to manage.
5. Pick any patches you need in the FOMOD.
6. Load the esps after any mods editing NPCs.
7. Rerun Wrye Bash if you have a bashed patch. Done!
8. If updating from 1.0+ to 2.0, a new save is required!
9. If updating from 2.0 to 2.5+, please reinstall to save space. This new version uses BSAs for better performance/loading times. :> Safe to update from 2.0+.

Q & A
Q. Does this include the clothes shown? :O
A. No. I use a bunch of SPID mods you can find on the Nexus, such as for Apachii Divine Elegance and Immersive Armors. :3
Q. I installed your mod. Why are certain NPCs naked?
A. I changed the outfits of a few NPCs to not have hoods. You can easily fix it by opening the console, clicking on the NPC, then typing disable, enter, and enable.
Q. Halp! Some NPCs' faces don't  match their body color/they have purple eyes or hairs!
A. I may have forgotten a texture. :O Please tell me which NPC is affected in bug reports and I will fix it ASAP.
Q. Can you make it look more realistic/less anime? :(
A. No. Sorry. There are a billion more realistic NPC replacers and I wanted more mods in this style. I tried to balance a look that's both realistic and fantasy.
Q. My game crashed!
A. Remember to get all of the bug fix mods like engine fixes, bug fixes, etc. Make sure that you didn't enable any patches for mods you don't have and that you have high poly head installed. There is also the tiny possibility I forgot a face texture. ^^' In that case, please get the face discoloration fix mod.
Q. Is this compatible with other NPC overhauls?
A. Yes! As long as you make sure that the mod data and esp are overwriting/being overwritten in the same order, it should be fine. :)
Q. Can you please make certain NPCs standalone?
A. I might if there are enough requests.
Q. My NPCs still have ugly vanilla textures. :(
A. This does not include skin textures. Feel free to pick any that you prefer.
Q. Oldrim version? ToT
A. A. Aaw. I know your pain of being stuck using a potato. IDK when/if I'll
post one because I'd like to deal with bugs and stuff in one place. If
anyone knows how to backport it, please notify me. You may backport it.

Q. Can you make a patch for xxx?
A. I will try to, but people are also free to release their own patches if they'd like. As long as it requires this and gives credit! :3
Q. Which skin textures are you using?
A. BNP 2.0 for women and men, with glossy specs, 1.7/young normals, and clean diffuses for Nords and Imperials. Some old pictures use Diamond Skin, Realore, and/or SAM Logan textures.
Q. Are you going to do replacers for other mods like LOTD? :D
A. Yes! I am currently working on replacers for 3DNPC and ezPG. Replacers for Cutting Room Floor and LOTD are planned.

Known Issues
* Fomod can be stupid sometimes
* Updating from version 1.0+ to 2.0+ on the same save causes crashes
