The mod is still in beta. Reports so far are mostly good. Mod seems to be working. Some people have reported that there is some missing audio. I'd appreciate it if you could report which lines seem to be missing.
Non English users: Update to version 3.0.1 or higher to fix an issue with the translations.
How to manually change the last name: 1. Open SSEEdit 2. Right click the mod list; click: select none 3. locate the lastname esp and select it and click ok to load; wait until loading is finished. 4. Open up the lastname esp in the tree on the left; open up the message sub tree; it should contain 6 messages; 1 for each kid. 5. select a message. 6. in the right view right click the full name field that says something like: "<Alias.ShortName=Child1> Dovahkiir"; the first time you do this you get a warning dialog that tells you this can be dangerous; just click ok. 7. edit the last part of the name; so replace Dovahkiir with whatever last name you want; leave the first part in place or the kids will lose their first name. 8. click ok when done. 9. repeat 5-8 for all 6 messages. 10 close the application. When closing the application you will be asked to save modified esps. Be sure that only the lastname esp is checked and then confirm.
You may have to move the kids around for the new last name to be picked up.
Console version: PS4 - not going to happen, since it doesn't support scripted mods, or translated mods, or mods with custom audio. Thank Sony for that one. XBox - XBox 1 version here
I'm having an issue where I can adopt two kids just fine, but when I go through the dialogue for the third kid and tell them what home to go to (Proudspire TNF beds plus) they say yes and then immediately revert back to basic dialogue and act as though they were never adopted. If I interact with them they just say "Yes?" and other basic dialogue with no actual dialogue options for me. I can use console commands to reset them to an adoptable state, but same issue if I try after. I have both esps enabled, have gone back to older saves, put the mod at the end of my load order, the problem persists. Wondering if the recent update broke something as a previous commenter suggested.
So I've been using this mod for years now, but I just installed "Snow Elf Palace SE" tonight, and blessed the home, told my husband it's time to move. He never came home.
I adopted a daughter, but she just keeps saying she has to get her things and say goodbye, and yet I've fast traveled multiple times over many in-game days, and she still says this and won't come home.
I have "Dudestia Multiple Marriages" installed to allow me to teleport my spouse, and since he wasn't in the palace after several in-game days, I tried to teleport him into the home multiple times, and he would just appear where I cast the spell, and immediately walk out and go back to Riften every single time. He does not stay inside the home regardless of what I do.
Even after doing what folks suggested and moving Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions to the bottom of the load order in Mod Organizer, I'm still having this issue. Any idea what I can do to fix it?
- multi marriage is a likely cause of issues, so don't use that in combination with this mod. - Fast travel doesn't trigger the move script - never did; you need to be away from the kids, the home and the spouse and moving from cell to cell by walking to trigger it. - if you use a mod manager, make sure both the esp files are actually active; some mod managers seem to have some trouble activate both
So I'm trying to move my spouse into elysium estate and the bless my home spell is registering the beds but no matter what i can't get the dialogue to move to a new house i only get the dialogue for vanilla homes, can anyone help me with this?
With these last 2 updates I seem to be getting adoption glitches in created player homes more and more. For instance, I'll get Runa staying at the orphanage but repeating she needs to get her things and say goodbye to everyone. Same for Lucia, but she or Sofie, they will move in, but repeat the need to get my things and say goodbye to everyone line, and never move from that spot. I use the BTH spell as I take ownership of any home, it shows the correct number of beds, but more and more, Im getting that glitch. If I use normal thane homes, no issue at all.. Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a LO issue? Ive never had this happen before, so I dont think its a LO issue, and I use Loot and Vortex plugin sort that uses Loot as well.
I have made the very stupid mistake of starting a game with the mod disabled as I was trying to figure out which mod I was having issues with and after turning it back on I forgot to start a new save, so now I don’t have the bless home spell. Im very far into my gameplay and just bought the home and realized. The house itself is working fine thankfully. Is there any way around this like a ref id or should i give up and start a new save? The spell does come acquired if i start a new save so i know its not the mod and that its just my current save thats the issue
Update: seems like others also had this problem with no answer. took me sometime, especially having to learn how to use the command prompt. Ive tried multiple ways but this one did worked. I first tried “help bless home 0” which kept not working. So then i tried everything else I could think of or find. Then i thought to search just “help bless 0”. I got a big list of bless spells and added the spell to my game through player.addspell (ref id) after scrolling through them and finding the ref id. Hope this helps others. For my game the ref if was “1D009A17” in my game and its probably like that for you too
I am having trouble moving my kids into a modded house, I use Cynn's Proudspire Manor as a replacer for proudspire. When i cast "bess home" it gives me the popup saying "registered 6 beds" however when i try to move my kids into the house from whiterun, i tell my kids it's time to move, and select the New house dialogue, my children say "OK I'll meet you there, I leave to go questing in a hold that is neither so that they have time to move, and quest for a couple in game days, but when i arrive at my house after questing, the children are nowhere to be seen, and i find out that they are still at breezehome in whiterun and haven't seemed to move at all. for further context, and in case of incompatibilities, I use these mods on a modified version of the collection "Gate to Sovngarde" that has been modified to be compatible with "Vokriinator Black: Complete" and a few mods for the custom skill framework namely the Pilgrim addon, the companions perk tree, an the skills of survival i also have installed Helps to have a map and a few of it's addons such as helps to have a compass, as well as the Shadow of Skyrim - Nemesis and alternate death system, and Save by Journaling and Sleeping.
Try moving the mod to the end of your load order. Though if the adoption quest is stuck, you might have to go back to an older save and tell them to move again.
I figured out the problem, the house did have 6 beds, but only 1 child's chest. is there a way to set additional containers as children's so that it works proper via the console, like setownership?
