*You do not need to extend the boarders to build this settlement. You will
need to turn off the workshoptimeout if you wish to scrap items that intersect the build outside of the default boarders.
Note: You may need to use a scrap list extension mod to get rid of
some items. I use ScrapEverything,but due to intermittent success with scrapping things like vines or
bushes, I'll add SpringCleaning sometimes.

For some reason, settlers at county crossings always turn up missing... Perhaps the ghouls at the National Guard building are getting them?

Hidden in plain site, the institute continues to experiment with both science and morality. Close enough to downtown to observe the commonwealths main hub of activity, the re-purposed facility goes un-noticed, content to let the nearby ghoul infested National Guard building get all the attention.

Lore:
With the Minutemen being the undisputed head of the Commonwealth, a site for conducting negotiations with "foreign" dignitaries was needed. The Castle is too sensitive a site to host a bunch of delegates without having to monitor them all the time. The General commissioned the building of a site that could not only offer security, but also luxuries that could help turn the negotiations in favor of the Minutemen. Even Elder Maxon let it slip that, he must remind himself of his duty to the Brotherhood during his trips to Mansion del General; lest the luxury of the location seduce him into letting his guard down.

FAQ:

System Specs. AKA: "Can my system run this build"?
I run a i5-4690k @ 3.5 GHz, 16 gig or RAM with an ASUS r9 390 (8g) for the graphics. Despite having a lot of horsepower for my GPU, Fallout (in a cruel twist of irony as I had Fallout 4 in mind when I built the rig) utilizes about 80% of my CPU when in the large settlement builds... I don't know if it is due to the engine preferring CPU to GPU or that my install location for Fo4 is on a second HDD using an ancient hard disk method for storing data that can only operate at 7500 RPM... Either way, my rig isn't hard to beat for horsepower; you should be fine.

Please check the FAQ's and articles on Cdante's settlement transfer mod page if you cannot find a reason for it there (such as the piece belonging to a mod that is known not to transfer etc...) please PM me a screenshot. I can usually tell you what mod the piece is from and to make sure you have it active.

Why do you use so many mods?
I like environment and set building. I try to stick with one mod for the majority of the structure builds, but decor is often a grab bag. The big ones I use the most are  Settlement Objects Expansion Pack and Snappy HouseKit. If you are wanting to install one of my more recent builds, chances are those two mods will get you 90% complete.
