    FOREWORD & DISCLAIMER
    Thank you for reading and endorsement! This mod list was initially collected and organized for my own use and to share with my small community. Now I’m gladly hoping more players, especially new ones, will read this article for a better gaming experience, and for most casual players, it’s simple and straightforward to get the most out of your modding experience and save your time!

    You are responsible for your own local files. All of the mods in this guide were tested workable on Steam at Win10 / Win11 platform if no special instructions. But I cannot guarantee usability on other platforms or game flows. Please refer this to your own situations and backup the local save archive in advance: “%LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\Savegames\Story”

    ​To protect the rights of original authors, this guide is provided for informational purposes only and no any direct download of their mod files. Instead, you can get all of the information from my file BG3ModListAll or read Online Google Sheet.

    There were over 1800+ mods uploaded in Nexusmods by this guide was first published. I can only explore marginal parts of them, but still I believe this part will be suitable for the universal needs of the greatest number of players. Thus, I strongly recommend you to explore more of the available mods for Baldur’s Gate 3 to find valuable mods, and let me know in the post or forum section if it is convenient.
    PREREQUISITE
    Before you begin with further, the following items need to be checked.
    • Read my article in detail.
    • Be ware, this is a general guide on how to install most mods using BG3ModManager instead of Vortex.
    • A PC or laptop that meets the System requirements of BG3.
    • Having legitimate copies of the game at Steam or GOG platform and have started at least once.
    • It is highly recommended that you complete the game at least once, for many mods will affect your original story flow.
    • It is highly recommended that you create a folder on your computer (Desktop would be alright) to manage and save BG3MM and other mods. It will save you plenty of time by classing files. You can simply download the file that I have made.
    A GUIDE FOR BG3ModManager
    Thanks to LaughingLeader for the outstanding contribution to the BG3 community and players, which made modding much easier. You may find informations from the Github page: BG3ModManager: A mod manager for Baldur's Gate 3.
    If you already have experience with BG3MM. Then you don’t need to read the following guide.

    • INSTRUCTIONS
    • Grab the latest release and Extract the ZIP to your New Folder for BG3 mods  (don't extract to your Program Files).
    • Make sure you have Download .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher version installed.
    • Run the app, pathways to the game data and .exe should be automatically detected.
      If this fails, manually set the pathways in “Settings”->“Open Preference”, then correct the folder paths “…\Baldurs Gate 3\Data” and “…\Baldurs Gate 3\bin\bg3.exe”, you know the root directory of the game.
    • Click “File”->“Import Mod” to import mods your manually downloaded from Nexusmods as they come in .zip files. Click the Refresh button.
    • Drag and move installed mods from “Inactive Mods” to “Active Mods”
    • Mods will load in the serial number order, click and drag to reorganize the order, then click on “Save Load Order to File” and click “Export Order to Game”, to export your active load order to the game. This updates the modsettings.lsx file that the game reads.
    • Play and enjoy.

    • Very Important Tips
    • All the mods imported by BG3MM were stored in“%LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods”or “C:\Users\***Your User Name***\Documents\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\Mods”. You can access it by simply clicking“Go”->“Open Mods Folder”, we will use it later.
    • It’s not enough to run the game and many mods, some prerequisite mods must be installed manually, such as Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender, but you can install it in BG3MM by clicking"Tools"->"Downlad & Extract the Script Extender".
    • Make sure you don't have any subfolders in your mods folder ("%LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods”). This causes the game to reset your modsettings.lsx!
    • Ensure the Game Data Path is set in “Settings”->“Open Preference”to the data folder, where all the .pak files are (Gustav.pak etc).
    • Make sure you have a campaign selected (i.e. “Main”). The game must have a campaign exported to the modsettings.lsx, or it will jump issues.
    • If your modsettings.lsx still resets when loading into the game, try loading your mods one by one to check if some is wrong.
    • Troubleshooting
    • Ensure your BG3MM Profile is listed as Public. It is located below File and above Active Mods on the top left.
    • Close BG3MM entirely and reopen. There is a drop list in the middle of the menu bar says, “Campaign” and “Menu” next to it. Hovering at “Menu” should show GustavDev and it’s dependencies.
    • Try loading your mods one by one, to see if one is a problem or if there are incompatibilities.
    • Open your modsettings.lsx (your mod load order) with notepad under: “%LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public”. If your mods aren’t loading here you’ve made a mistake in one of the previous steps, especially if it gets reset when you launch the game.

    Here is the quintessence. An extremely detailed mods list with new category reenact by myself, shown as name and brief description, others like  uploader, installation and potential bug(s) are hidden unless you chick it.  You have to click on the name of a mod in order to jump to the detail page. The most important and popular mods are marked in red. The icon "♕" means you can install the mod with BG3MM directly. This section is updating and improving continuously, please check back often.

      Details:
      In order to continue your multiplayer save with more than 4 players, create a new lobby, set your party size and start a new game. Then load your main save, this will carry over the player limit. Ingame sessions unfortunately don't allow you to tweak the settings.
      You must dismiss one party member if you already have 4 with you, this will reset the party limit and set it to 16.The larian game launcher will throw a data mismatch warning at you, that's completly normal and can safely be ignored.
      Some ingame events are hardcoded for 4 party members and will glitch out. This is usually solved by either dismissing the additional members/players or by teleporting back and forth.

    • Camp Event Notifications
      Description: BG3 is full of events at the camp that players miss due to not resting often enough, or not resting during certain windows of opportunity that the game expects. This mod adds a floating exclamation point above your main character's head (similar to the one that shows on companions when they have something to say to you). When this symbol shows up, you should go to camp and talk to your companions and/or long rest, to avoid missing out on these events.

      Description: This mod gives 3 spells one to pick up any item even non intended one (bookshelf, statues,etc... ) and the 2 other to rescale your already placed items.
      PickUp Everythings:
      add to your inventory a copy of any item/furnitures targeted by the spell , without any weight restriction, usefull for housing.
      You can even PickUp items that you normally shouldn't be able to like your camp chest, doors, some statues, bookshlef, candles, etc...
      It can be used to duplicate Items

      Scale Up:
      Contains 4 different options to rescale ANY item/furniture in the world(not restricted to)going from X1.25 to X2 relative to original item size
      so you can't multiply multiply X2X2X2X2 for exemple

      Details:This mod will automatically sell all items contained in my "hand made" list of over 700 useless items for 40% (Now configurable in config.json!) of their value when they enter your inventory, this is what a merchant would give you with 0 persuasion bonus. A small price to pay for convenience. Items that would sell for a fractional amount (0.4 gold for 1 gold items) will accumulate and give you your gold coin when it reaches 1, no wasted money.

      You still need the mod fixer if one of your installed mods doesn't already contain the mod fixer built into it.


      Adds an item that is used to toggle a status to automatically and CUSTOMIZABLY loot everything within 15m: containers, loose items, corpses, gatherables. Everything looted this way is put into a special bag that each playable character has called "Extradimensional Storage"; the bag reduces the items' weight to zero until they are removed from the bag. If you remove the bag from that character, items will go right into your inventory, but you'll become overencumbered very quickly if you don't have carry weight mods.

      Without the customizer files, you don't steal or unlock locked containers. Barrels of water, oil, etc. are never picked up. Those useless crates that aren't actual containers aren't picked up. Camp chest SHOULD not be looted. Dead allies are not looted. Thrown items will not be affected, but after 10 seconds, they can be relooted from the ground if you toggle the status on and off again.

      There are customizer files in the optional files section that allow different options. All can be combined except "only valuables" and "only gold." Do not combine those.

      Allow Stealing: enable stealing, looting owned corpses, and opening owned or locked containers, but NPCs ignore the crime
      Valuables Only: exclude junk and focus on useful/valuable items and supplies
      Gold Only: only loot gold
      AoE reduced: reduce AoE size to 3m

      I recommend only using this mod in Act 3 for balance. Even then, a flying paladin as a 5th party member is very strong.
      I added an extra ring with her two unique spells, Lunar Blessing and Lunar Flare, that you can use freely.

      The ring can be obtained from Aaron at Druid's Grove, the Quartermaster at the Creche, the Quartermaster at Last Light Inn, from Danthelon in Rivington, or from the merchant in the Stormshore Tabernacle.

      There are two versions.
      Both have similar stats to their NPC counterparts, but I've rounded all their ability scores to even numbers.
      Summoned Aylin cannot upcast spells for some reason, so both versions have level 1, level 2, and level 3 Divine Smite as separate spells.

      Details:This mod adds various spells and abilities to enemies. Mages will have more spells to choose from, fighters and barbarians will have more abilities such as fighters having Great Weapon Training and barbarians having Frenzy and using enraged throw. You can use it along with my other mod Lethal AI Enemies.

      Here are some of the features of the mod:

      Mages (And all the other casters such as Warlock) get cantrips, spell slots and new spell sets. These spell sets include spells according to the level of the set. (For example level 1 spell set will include Chromatic Orb, Guiding Bolt, Ice Knife, Magic Missile, Ray of Sickness, Bless, Inflict Wounds. )
      Fighters and barbarians have more abilities. Now most barbarians use Frenzy and enraged throw if they have enough str. fighter will get various boosts inculidng abilities like Riposte, Great Weapon Training, Two Weapon Training etc.
      Some enemies will have passives that boost their spells or weapons. For example, warlocks will have Agonizing Blast (Adds charisma modifier to damage of Elritch Blast) and Repelling Blast (Eldritch Blasts will push the target)
      These boost will depend on the level or challenge rating of the enemies. Such as goblins get access to only up to level 2 spells (There are exceptions) while other stronger casters can get up to level 6 spell set.
