THE GIST.

The concept of mugshots for choosing NPC replacers within EasyNPC is an exceptionally novel approach. The only drawback, at least for me, is the source of most NPC Replacer packs mugshot sets is via NifSkope. The only issue with NifSkope is that the focus view of the NPC head meshes is awful and doesn't use great lighting. My goal was to create an in-game rigging where I could quickly load an NPC, set their placement and capture their head with consistent lighting that was more natural that what's provided in NifSkope.

The other issue with the NifSkope method was the head view. In order to get higher dimension images, you need to zoom in. You can view the head in perspective mode, and zoomed in it looks viewing someone through a tube or peephole. Or, in the alternative orthogonal mode, it flattens the head and makes it much wider than it should be. That, coupled with awful lighting makes for a poor experience.
