Ever wanted laser guns in your game to look more like weapons and less like bricks? Or perhaps you (like me) just have a stockpile of fusion cells collecting dust in your home plate because vanilla laser guns just not worth it? I have something for you then.
While AER9 was perfectly reliable and sturdy platform, its ergonomics and overall convenience of use was still far from ideal. In early 2077 a prototype replacement has been presented to the Army by General Atomics corporation. This modern design, highly modular laser weapon system successfully passed all trials and it was about to enter mass production stage to completely replace old AER9s, but it never happened because of the bombs. However, a decent amount of new laser rifles has been manufactured before the apocalypse (even with some variations like special DMR modification), so this new weapon managed to make its way to 23th century instead of being lost in time.

Now before you proceed to features...

Well it's been a while since I released this mod and asked you for support here. I was amazed by amount of people who cared about me and the situation I found myself in.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me, your help really gave me some light in the end of the tunnel and with it I will most likely be able to get rid of my financial issues at the end of 2021 - I'm really looking forward to it.
Also realizing there's people really willing to support someone who doing something they like encouraged me to open a Patreon page. Of course, as I said earlier, my weapon mods won't be paywalled ever. Patreon page is just a convenient way to support my work for people who willing to do so, and they can get early access to beta builds while the weapon is in development and influence the development via direct contact and voting polls.

Now back to the mod description.

7 Emitters (receivers) - divided to 4 tiers, each tier have mod 0 and mod 1 variants, where mod 1 have added burning effect - affecting damage and range. Also there's additional prototype Z1 Emitter manufactured by the Institute Advanced Systems division - generating cryo beam capable of freezing target to death - you can get it with the unique AER15 Z1 Prototype from the Institute vendor;
3 Barrels - Standard issue West-Tek - have a mount point for beam modifiers; DMR - absolute precision, longer range and higher damage at the cost of lower fire rate; Prototype Quad - developed by the Institute Advanced Systems division for maximized damage output - four beams, each deals 0,5 damage for x2 total damage;
2 Beam Modifiers (available only for West-Tek barrel) - Beam Amplifier - higher range and accuracy and reduced firing noise at the cost of slightly lower fire rate; Beam Splitter - splits the beam into widespread 9 beams, effectively turning your AER15 into a laser shotgun;
4 Grip types for left hand - Default grip, Magwell grip, Angled Foregrip, Vertical Foregrip;
2 Grips - Marksman stock and Pistol grip (adding a stock adapter allowing you to choose from a variety of stocks);
5 Stocks (available only for Pistol grip) - B5 SOPMOD, MFT Minimalist, DD Milspec, Magpul CTR, Vltor IMOD;
9 Sights - Ironsights, Glowing Ironsights, Trijicon RX01, Holosun HS510C, Aimpoint PRO, EOTech XPS3 (with toggleable magnifier), ACOG, Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24, Advanced Targeting System;
5 Skins - Default, Institute, Brotherhood, Minutemen, Railroad;
9 Wavelength settings - 700nm (red color), 620nm (orange color), 575nm (yellow color), 540nm (green color), 520nm (aqua color), 500nm (cyan color), 470nm (blue color), 425nm (purple color), 400nm (magenta color) - changes laser beam color as well as damage and rate of fire (red - highest fire rate, lowest damage, magenta - highest damage, lowest fire rate);
4 Tactical attachments - Pinty Green laser sight, MAWL laser sight, SureFire M300C flashlight, SureFire M600 flashlight;
3 MCM hotkeys - 1: Toggle fire mode (full-auto/semi-auto); 2: Wavelength selection menu; 3: Scope Options hotkey
Scope Options hotkey acts differently depending on the equipped scope:
- EOTech XPS3: toggle magnifier on/off;
- ACOG: cycle between x1, x2, x4 magnification;
- Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24: cycle between x1, x2, x4, x6 magnification;
- Advanced Targeting System: brings up control menu allowing you to enable/disable various options like different magnification levels (x1 to x6), different target types tracking (track all, track hostile, track humans, track synths), nightvision levels (1-3).
Also for console players and for those who don't want to use MCM for some reason there's alternative single chem item allowing you to "press" those hotkeys via an additional menu.
Damage modifiers available as an optional file (ESL-flagged), amplifies base damage up to +500%.

As always, Fallout 4 version 1.10.163+.
See-Through Scopes (soft requirement) - mod will work as intended without it, but there will be glitches with ACOG, Vortex and ATS scopes if it's not installed.

After installation you'll get a pop-up menu ingame allowing you to choose between full integration (all main factions, legendaries, vendors), full integration with only semi-auto distribution (you'll still be able to shoot full-auto, but your enemies won't), legendaries+vendors, legendaries only, vendors only, or nothing (craft-only). Also you'll have the option to cheat it in your inventory right away.
Weapon also can be crafted at chem workbench under "AER15" category (as well as hotkey alternative chem item). You'll need some perks for that tho.
Also there's several places in the game where you can find AER15 just laying around to be found pretty early in the game (one is near dead minuteman but not in Concord, another is BoS-related, and third is in the Institute).
And several uniques is available: 4 is available for sale from all major faction vendors and 2 can be found in the world: one is near vanilla unique laser rifle, another is waiting for you at the end of certain vanilla faction quest).

Calling any hotkeyed function (fire mode change, wavelength change, scope options) will automatically reload your gun as if you've used weapons workbench. This is unfortunate game engine limitation that can't be avoided (at least I don't know any way of avoiding it). But it still beats running to workbench to change fire mode in my opinion (lazy Bethesda smh).
