Thank you for checking out Reverb Interior Sounds Expansion – a vanilla-friendly extension of base game reverb models and interior ambience. Inspired by my previous work on Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE and utilizing Sound Record Distributor.
Please check out the changelog for a brief overview on the recent changes that have been made. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment below or reach out.

Many weather mods add their own interior rain and thunder sounds that would normally conflict with these types of mods. Luckily, with Sound Record Distributor, these sounds are patched into the region records on runtime – meaning no messy compatibility patches are needed for this mod to work out of the box.
Currently, if you're using a weather mod that adds its own interior rain or thunder, the sounds added by your weather mod will take priority. Close to 20 weathers are supported and documented, and an exhaustive list can be found below. There is also an option to pick if you want to install these sounds in the FOMOD. So, if you don't want them, or are unsure, you don't have to install them.
If you don't think your weather is supported, leave a comment and I will reply.
COMPATIBLE WEATHER MODS
READ THIS LIST BEFORE ASKING ABOUT COMPATIBILITY. JUST BECAUSE IT ISN'T ON THIS LIST DOES NOT MEAN IT DOESN'T WORK. IF YOU SEE YOUR WEATHER MOD HERE AT ALL, YOU'RE FINE.
I don't understand the wording for the last part of the description.
Does this mod disable thunderstorm weathers added by unsupported weather mods?
Does adding the esp to the Thunder_SRD.yaml re-enable these weathers at the cost of no interior weather sounds during those weathers? Did I get that right?
This creates a whole new Skyrim world. I use the Arctis NP headset and this (along with the suggested audio mods) make the game something never imagined. From the haunting sound of an elk in the distance to the *twang* *whistle* *thump* of an arrow.
Hello is this mod safe to remove mid playthrough? If not, is there something I'm missing cause I'm having some issues.
Outdoors sounds like I'm in a cave with how much echo and reverb there is (especially for dialog), there's nothing subtle about it. Indoors during a storm is so loud it literally drowns out dialog. I've confirmed it's this mod by testing removing it.
I'm also having an issue with footstep sounds rarely playing, and flames and armor spells not producing sound, but that's not directly related to this mod, so it could be interacting weird with something else.
In terms of direct sound mods I have (in load order):
Sound Record Distributor Unofficial High Definition Audio Project Audio Overhaul Immersive Sounds - Compendium (ISC SRDified) Immersive Sounds Compendium - Sound Record Distributor...ded Immersive Sounds Compendium - SkyPatcher (added cause I thought it was an Immersive Sounds bug at first) Audio Overhaul - Immersive Sounds Integration (AOS - ISC Compatibility Patch) Regional Sounds Expansion (SRD - Wilds Dungeons Towns Ambience Birds - Fixes) Reverb Interior Sounds Expansion Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes
I've followed LOOT sort order, and run the available synth patches for IS and Acoustics
EDIT: Everything was ISC's fault. I got rid of it and all it's patches and patchers and now all the sound in my game works perfectly even with Reverb Interior Sounds Expansion. Leaving the comment for anyone else debugging similar issues as I posted.
Hello There are many mods made by you and they sound too abstract to me or sound like they do similar things Are these mods compatible with each other? Or should I disable some in favor of others? (Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE, Reverb Interior Sounds Expansion, Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes)
so i have rustic weathers and lighting with this mod, and it doesnt make any rain or wind sounds whatsoever, is there any way i can fix that? ive tried true storms before rustic weather and they have the same issue
Hey, if you don't mind me asking, where were sound effects and such sourced for this and the other two mods in this series? Are they public domain/CC0? I'm building a load order currently that I may want to record a YouTube video or so with down the line, so I figured I'd check in about it. Thanks!
Don't mind at all. The sounds in this mod was edited from an EDM sample pack I sold on Bandcamp several years ago. They do not exist in Content ID. They were probably released under CC BY-SA 3.0, but you are free to use this in any way you see fit. I don't care.
As for Regional Sounds Expansion, they are taken from Audio Overhaul for Skyrim. They do not exist in Content ID. They are entirely made from scratch and not from a sample library. But just keep in mind David owns the copyright.
And just in case you were curious - Immersive Sounds Compendium is good as well. They do not exist in Content ID. I know for a fact gecko went through and removed anything with a non-commercial or unclear license when DP became serious. Same deal, Gecko owns the copyright.
But if we're speaking candidly, you have nothing to worry about at all. Shoot me the video when you post it, I love watching random Skyrim clips.
Firstly, thank you for your reply. In your comment, since you didn't touch on Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes and from its description it sounds like it's sort of, as the name states, fixes... does that mod contain any new sounds? Not that I'd necessarily get in trouble for it one way or another on YouTube for using the other mods, but should I decide to largely avoid new sounds for whatever reason, that one doesn't contain any?
P.S. It might be a ways off, but I'll make a note in the video folder to get a link to you in some regard should I eventually get a video out. Please note this would be a Skyrim VR video (likely unstabilized first person VR footage).
No problem. 🤍 Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes is just a list of changes I made because the reverb template in vanilla cells were so inconsistent and it drove me insane. No new sounds or anything. You understood everything perfectly.
Thanks again and thanks for your work on these and your other mods as well. As of now, I think my load order includes Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes, Skyrim Children Refine, Donate More Gold To Maramal, Less Rude Mercenary, and both your wedding band mods. ^_^
Hey there, I have an ENB completely build on vanilla weathers. I was just wondering ... I do not get any rain sounds in interiors. You have any idea what I could do? I am using Lux as an interior overhaul
I seem to experience this as well, both with vanilla weathers as well as NAT (the original one), with vanilla interior lighting. Kind of a weird interaction but still worth mentioning, as on my end it works but only when using a small modlist, in the sense of enabled plugins. On a big modlist there's simply no sound. Have checked scripts, records, and no pointers as to what's causing it.

Edit: For some reason, my plugin load order was messed up; after setting it up as the pinned post says, I no longer have this issue.
