The Elder Scrolls III
Morrowind
Extended Cut

And in 4E 114, a historian by the pen-name of Crown undertook a project to study and publish their own record of events of the time of the Nerevarine in Morrowind 3E 427. The study involved: analyzing surviving documents written before the eruption at Red Mountain, interviews with surviving individuals who lived during the events, interviews with living descendants, evaluations of questionable ‘for-their-eyes' only accounts kept behind what Crown calls ‘hidden-doors’, general oral history that had been passed down from that time, and cross-referencing much of it with other well-established existing reviews. While Crown provides some level of evidence for most of their investigation, Crown's writings are severely undermined by their choice to use an alias, as with no established background, it is impossible to know whether they had the expertise to appropriately filter ‘hearsay’ or bias. Not to mention being unable to provide evidence of their hidden sources. Although it has its flaws, Crown’s historiography may provide some insights into what might have been missed or left out from other historians studying this period, but is also useful in the sense that it provides its reader with what people in the year the historiography was published considered to have occurred centuries before their time. - Unknown historian, unknown date, unknown publication.

Introduction

This project encompasses eight years of updates and expansions to the story content within The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It includes a comprehensive overhaul of the story and dialogue, featuring refinements to existing factions and dialogue, as well as new epic quest arcs crafted with lore-friendliness in mind. Additionally, the main quest has been fully revised to include four new 'extended edition' style acts that unfold during and after the vanilla questline.

This overhaul, also called the Crown Historiography, is split into three categories:

Crown Document Analysis (released)

This mod introduces changes to Great House Hlaalu, the Morag Tong, the Tribunal Temple, the Imperial Cult, slaves, and 'no lore' NPCs.

Great House Hlaalu now has expanded opportunities for roleplay, providing a richer experience within the faction.

The Morag Tong has undergone a comprehensive update with equipment inspired by concept art, restored cut content, and quests now better organized and split between guilds.

The Tribunal Temple and Imperial Cult include a blend of previous updates, featuring additional roleplay options and decentralized quest structures.

Slaves can now be freed using lockpicks, magic, or scrolls, offering more versatility.

Special quest NPCs previously marked as 'no lore' now have over sixty unique greetings, a significant improvement from the original three in vanilla

Crown Disputed Chapters (released)

This project introduces new stories rooted in the game's established lore while expanding many concepts further.

Face off against Mannimarco and the Order of the Black Worm in a new story that bridges The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Indulge in a tale of the Dark Brotherhood's eastern civil war, the rise of the Mythic Dawn, and the dramatic fall of Severa Magia.

Begin a thrilling adventure with the Camonna Tong, Morrowind's largest criminal organization. Vie for power and influence in society, working alongside Orvas Dren, the cunning Kingpin.

These chapters combined are about twice the length of the vanilla main quest.

Includes:

Crown Nerevarine Account (wip – 67%)

This project introduces several quality-of-life improvements to the main quest, such as new persuasion options and better follower scripts.

It also features a brand-new quest arc that unfolds during the main quest, adding further context to both existing and newly introduced content.

Once the main quest is complete, two additional stories await exploration. Combined, these post-main quest adventures are roughly the length of the Tribunal main quest.

Finally, the project concludes with a definitive resolution to the story as a whole

Includes:

Crown Appendices (wip - 84%)

I intend on creating walkthroughs for each questline. You'll find these appearing under the "Articles" tab.

Djangos Dialogue
This mod adds more variety to different dialogue topics. It's a big, vanilla-friendly, and well looked after mod. Still confused why it's recommended? Imagine Greetings for No Lore applied to every other base-game topic.

Morrowind Quests Redux
Adds minor polishes to each faction questline. Its objective is very similar to that of the Crown Document Analysis, only the changes are minimal and more vanilla-friendly. These two mods pair well together.

Expansions Delayed
This makes the expansions kick in at more reasonable times. My mod series is very vanilla Morrowind heavy, and even though I'm not going to do anything with the expansions, if I were to in the past, I would have made delays mandatory as it fits better with the story.

Tribunal Main Quest Reforged
I wanted to do something very similar to the Tribunal main quest in the past. However, this mod ticks off everything I wanted to do and more, and is written by a very talented author.

Bloodmoon Rebalanced
Even though this mod is part of a three part series, this is the one I recommend in particular. Making Solstheim a lower to mid level experience was actually a mod I had planned to make several, several years ago. I think it works better, and this mod does exactly that.

Compatibility

As you might imagine, this is a big mod, that affects a lot of dialogue and quests.

It is fully compatible with the following:

For other mods, I have no clue. The following are unlikely to be compatible:

  • Any mods that overhaul the normal Main Quest. It may work from a technical standpoint, but story-wise it may be incompatible.
  • Any mods that make the Camonna Tong or Dark Brotherhood join-able.
  • Any mods that drastically overhaul the following: Imperial Cult (with exception to Imperial Cult Expansion), Tribunal Temple (with exception to Tribunal Temple Expanded), Morag Tong (with exception to Web of Mephala Morag Tong Headquarters), Great House Hlaalu. I know it doesn't sound like it with those special exceptions, but those really are the only exceptions I know of for each faction.

I hope you enjoy this nifty mod,
