13. Nut Water Overhaul
Spoiler:
Show

Original Author:
 NutnOff
Link to original mod
Suggested by badiser

Description
Nut Water Overhaul is a nice and beautiful touchup to the waters of the game, unfortunately with NVs water shader it is quite limited. This mod comes with a  Plugin (which won't load any water based color, for ENB users in mind). There shouldn't be any performance hit, as the texture is the same size as vanilla, unless you use the INI settings below that affect performance negatively, as noted in that section.

The ESP is not necessary if you only want the new textures and don't care about the water record edits the original author made.

Requirements
Original Mod Assets

Installation
  • Download the original mod, install
  • Delete the esp
  • If you want to use the same water edits made by NutnOff in his NV ESP, download the FO3 ESP from here

17. Grimcast Radio - A Horror Radio Drama Station FO3
Spoiler:
Show

Original Mod Author:
LazyGale
Link to original mod

Mod Page Description

Somewhere out in the twisted remains of the Mojave Wasteland lies an old, decrepit radio signal, broadcasting a station known as "Grimcast Radio." Its origins are uncertain, and by no means concrete, but the commonly accepted story is that the radio host, known only as Mister Grim, is an old world ghoul who has been a radio host since before the war. Before the bombs fell, he ran a niche broadcast show narrating a variety of horror stories, from urban legends, to published works, to true crime stories, and later on even works submitted by fans of the show. Over the years, Mister Grim brought on an assortment of guest actors to add new voices to the stories told, all with the help of a famous pianist and musician to really bring the Grimcast Horror Show to life. The show ran for nearly thirteen years, ending only when the Great War brought about the thermonuclear close to the old world. For a long time after, the show went silent – with nothing but dead air occupying the frequency that the broadcast had called home for over a decade. But, as humanity began to pick up the pieces and rebuild, and new societies took shape, Grimcast Radio has returned to the world to bring entertainment through thrilling tales to all those in the Wasteland with a functioning radio. Utilizing a combination of old recordings from before the war that were fortunately preserved, and broadcasting new installments from memory—occasionally with the help of promising new talent from across the wastes—Mister Grim remains dedicated to delivering riveting tales drenched in fear and fright to the denizens of the wasteland.

  • A brand new radio station available to listen to from the Pip-Boy.
  • Features an assortment of short and long narrations lifted off of MrCreepyPasta's channel, with intermittent breaks in the form of Myuu's music. All have been edited and played around with to almost perfectly emulate the filtered effect prominently seen in other voice recordings and Mr. New Vegas's speeches.
  • Tracks are played randomly, hopefully to avoid repetition. In the future this issue may be further addressed by adding more tracks, potentially from other voices in the horror story community.

Section 1.5
These are some mods I made that either recreate gameplay effects from some NV mods or add content made by NV modders

The GoodBad Touch
Recreates the gameplay effect added by the NV mod Bad Touch NVSE where some objects like fire, electracy, etc cause harm to the player. FO3 version adds extra functionality of being able to warm by fires to improve HP.

Immersive Wasteland Pools
It's actually included in The GoodBad Touch but only affects toxic pools rather than all hazards. Recreates the functionality added by the NV mod Radioactive Muck

FO3 Climbing
Recreates the climbing ability added by the NV mod Climbing

True Movement FO3
Port of my own NV mod True Movement which make the laws of motion apply to the player.

Creature Feature
A configurable compilation of the best creatures mods by NV modders that I could find.

Location Based Graphics Settings - FPS Helper
A port of a performance plugin I made for new vegas. Ignore the large mod page description, that's for advanced users. The mod is simple to use out the box and Integrates into the vanilla settings menu via engine plugin.
Poor performance in areas like outside/inside Rivet City or specific city districts? This may be a solution.

Section 2: Links to Compatible NV Mods

12. Pip-boy Glove Remade
Spoiler:
Show

No ESP or ESM required

Author: QwibQwibMods
Kudos to Badiser for finding this and confirming compatibility.

Description from mod page
Here is a simple port of my Pip-Boy Glove mod for Fallout 4 that I made. It will completely replace the vanilla model and textures. No ESP or anything just a direct replacer, so make sure that its not overridden in Mo2.

I have included patches for TYPE4 and Improved Vanilla Male Body

The model is fairly high poly since I made it for Fallout 4 in mind, but I didn't notice any performance issues. Textures are reduced in resolution to fit the NV engine. Compatible with TTW and Playable Pip-Boy Glove

See more on the original mod page.

Installation: Install as normal

13. Chain Link Fences
Spoiler:
Show

No ESP or ESM required

Author: DonKnots
Kudos to Badiser for finding this and confirming compatibility.

Description from mod page
Chain link fences are some of the more prolific meshes in FO3 and NV, so they can have a pretty big impact on how your game looks, so I recently wrapped up retexturing them. The textures are based on what a 70-ish year old fence in the SoCal desert looked like. The vanilla textures were made originally for the D.C. area, which is a far cry from the Mojave Desert, so the overly rusted and pinkish textures don't fit that well in NV anyway. I made hundreds of UV edits and the textures are 4096², so they look pretty good even up close, especially at higher resolutions. Refer to the screenshots to get an idea of what they will look like.

Description from mod page
Replaces the physics impact audio for the following categories:

Generic small metal objects
Bottlecaps
Barrels
Glass bottles
Tin cans

Light and heavy impacts are covered. They're also correctly set up, unlike the original game, since by default Fallout 3 and New Vegas have much louder impact noises for light impacts, and quieter ones for heavy impacts.
