After the Great War, pools of toxic muck around the Mojave became stagnant and irradiated over time making them more hazardous. Radiation hazards are greatly increased near waste pools. Toxic clouds, polluted fumes, and radioactive particles are seen around almost every waste pool making them appear extremely radioactive.

DETAILS
New Vegas in 2281 has several locations with large amounts of radiation however, the range of radiation from the source of the larger pools drop off quickly. This results in several smaller pools without radiation at all. This mod attempts to plague every waste pool with radioactive muck.
FEATURES
Nearly every waste pool has gaseous fumes, glowing particles, and irradiated clouds making the wasteland feel apocalyptic and hazardous. Waste pools seen throughout the desert have a high chance of displaying polluted fumes and radioactive dust particles. Some waste pools have become highly acidic and make bubbling liquid sounds.
INSTALLATION
Install the latest main file. For manual installation, extract the file to your game’s data folder. For a mod manager installation, install the file with your preferred mod manager.
COMPATIBILITY
No changes have been made to DLC areas. Compatible with any mod that doesn't move waste pools or radiation markers. Yukichigai Unofficial Patch has a few minor conflicts and will be patched in the future. Using things like HDR, ENBs, Reshade, or New Vegas Reloaded in addition to this mod can drastically change visuals and performance.
KNOWN ISSUES
This mod currently has no known issues or major bugs. Submitting a bug report or leaving a comment will help me fix things faster if the mod is not working as intended.
PLANNED FEATURES
More versions with different colored particles and fumes are planned. Radioactive muck features for DLC pools will be featured in the next update. Patches adding radioactive muck features to popular mods such as Primm Uncut, TTW, and Enhanced Landscapes are also planned.
RECOMMENDED
If you are interested in muck pools dealing damage, try the mod Toxic Waste. If you want to drink toxic water, try Drinkable Toxic Pools. For radioactive DLC muck pools (temporary until Radioactive Muck is updated) and additional radiation damage in toxic clouds use Hazardous Radiation.
This mod is recommended to be played with Irradiant Muck and More Rads in the Ass for a classic post nuclear experience. My personal muck pools mod, Colorful Pools of Muck, allows for even more muck pool appearance options. Some images used for this mod feature climates from my weather mod Post Nuclear Weathers which contrasts well against the toxic gas clouds. Users of Radioactive Muck may enjoy my other apocalyptic mod Masked Travelers.
