About this mod
Small retexture of EdisLeado's Pip-Boy 2500A that adds actual glowing vacuum tubes and some other minor enhancements.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
With EdisLeado's permission I gave it a go and replaced the yellow lights with the actual vacuum tube texture and I think the result is pretty good. Keep in my mind that this is my first mod ever and my modding expertise is very, I repeat, VERY limited. With the original mod my small contribution to it simply would not exist.
Works with Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Tale Of Two Wastelands (TTW).
Changes to the original texture include (in chronological order):
- The whole original texture upscaled 2x with waifu2x giving it a crisper, more defined look.
- Yellow tube texture replaced with the actual vacuum tube texture.
- Added 4 small rusty screws for the grille.
Versions:
There are currently 2 versions of this mod: regular with default texture brightness and one with the tube texture that is 30% less bright. Animated comparisons are in the image section.
INSTALLATION:
- Download: EdisLeado's Pip-Boy 2500A - The Arm Mounted Pipboy 2500.
- Install Pip-Boy 2500A via FOMM as per usual, activate the mod and don't forget to uncheck-check "Archive Invalidation". Make sure 2500A works in the game and replaces vanilla Pip-Boy 3000.
- Choose the version of my mod you want to use (I personally use 30% less bright version because I feel the default texture is a bit too bright and distracts you from the rest of the Pip-Boy during daytime in the game).
- Install by replacing the original files in the 2500A. Uncheck-check "Archive Invalidation" one more time.
REQUIREMENTS
- EdisLeado's Pip-Boy 2500A - The Arm Mounted Pipboy 2500. You need the original mod because the only thing mine does is replace 3 .dds texture files.
CREDITS:
- EdisLeado - thank you for the permission to edit the original files and for the great mod in the first place!
- frosty-theaussie - thanks a bunch for describing the process you used for your wonderful Vanilla Loading Screens HD mod. Can't play FNV without it!
PERMISSIONS:
I couldn't care less about what you do with my files but if you want to edit the original mod then ask the original creator, EdisLeado for permission.
