1.8 Requires Wasteland Workshop! If you don't have it, just use 1.7a.

This mod adds eight craftable variants of the industrial wall light, spotlight, street light, high tech lights, Wasteland Workshop lights, and the hanging light bulb.  They come in basic red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, warm white, and cool white. There's also six variants of the four main models of High Tech lights and of the spotlight turrets.  This means 118 total new lights as of 1.8.  You can achieve many subtle color variants by combining them.

You MUST craft a Bright Ideas magazine at the chemistry station for the lights to appear in your menu.  You can remove it from your inventory to remove the  lights from your crafting menu.  All the new lights will appear at the very end of your Lights category.  If you are updating from 1.7 or earlier, your streetlights will disappear.

The wall lights and ambient bulbs have a bigger radius and softer falloff than vanilla, making them more suitable for ambiance than for harsh spotlighting. The point lighting has a smaller radius and maximum falloff, illuminating only a small area very brightly.  Streetlights are fairly large and moderately focused.  Spotlights (horizontal only for now) and spotlight turrets are a narrow cone, and cast shadows. The high tech lights have a unique kind of light that fades from white to whatever color you want. (if you have a mod that edits vanilla High Tech lights they may or may not look weird.)

100% compatible with Homemaker, Settlement Keywords, Alternate Settlements, and all other mods.  Does not edit vanilla assets.
