ReShade
1. Download ReShade v5.9.2 from here Reshade but feel free to try ReShade v6.1.1 from here ReShade it causes crashing when Alt-Tabbing so not recommended.
2. Extract and Put my ini in
Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas or where ever the games files are located
3. Run ReShade setup
3. Find
FalloutNV
4. Select
Direct x 9 or Vulkan depending on if you use DXVK
5. Choose a preset ini by clicking
browse
6. Find where you put the Vibrant Blues Reshade Preset ini and select it
7. Install

Installing NVR or DXVK
Anytime you install new versions of NVR or use new presets you'll have to do
this if you want to avoid issues. Goes for DXVK too.

Delete the shaders folder located in your MO2 Overwrite folder
Delete the DXVK cache usually located here
\Steam\steamapps\shadercache

Keybinds
End = NVR menu
Arrow keys = Move around
- = Off
+ = On
Numpad Enter = Edit
Backspace = Delete
Type numbers or . in from the numpad to tweak the values
Enter = Save

Issues and solutions
DXVK can make dithering worse to remedy this you can try Antialiasing - Mode set to Enhance the application setting,
Antialiasing - FXAA set to On or Off with Antialiasing - Setting set to 8x and MFAA set to On in the NVIDIA control panel. ReShades FXAA is also an option.

Flickering White dots. Disable bloom.

Black textures appearing when walking in water. Disable underwater in the NVR menu.

NVHR. I don't recommend if you are using DXVK will cause more crashes from my testing.

Low framerate.
Follow the guides in recommendations, turn off or adjust shadows, ambient occlusion, reflections, use lossless scaling if you got a 40 series nvidia card and finally give DXVK a try

If you have a ton of texture mods especially after doing New Vegas Visual Renewal and start crashing a lot make sure you have enough VRAM.
6GB+ as a baseline for 1080p, 8GB+ for 1440p and 10GB for 4k.

Recommendations
Guides

- New Vegas Visual Renewal

- Wasteland Survival Guide
- Blue Moon
- New Vegas Reloaded site (If you have questions for NVR they have a FAQ section)
-
NVIDIA (I don't recommend the
Overclocking or Advanced PC Latency Optimization part unless you know what you are doing)

Mods
- Lumen (LLL add-on not recommended since it causes noticable artifacting)
- Avoid using any water texture mods, they will conflict with NVR's water rendering.
- Legacy Reborn (Performance Edition)

- Radioactive Muck
- NV - Energy Visuals Plus 2 (stable version)
- EVP - NVR Patch - Ash and Goo Piles
-
Millenia's environment map shader fix
- Millenia's Environment Map Shader Fix Compatible Shaders (for Improved Lighting Shaders)
- Irradiant Muck
- ENB Hair Fixes (Minimal)
- External Emittance Fix - NVSE
- Window Ambient Light at Night
- Better Fire Barrels (Performance version)
- Megaton Lighting Overhauls (TTW Users)
- Simple Night Vision
- Interior Fog Void Fix xEdit Script (fixes visible void in some large interiors that would normally be covered by vanilla fog. Make sure to read the description)
-
Strip lights region fix
- longer weather transitions
- Character Kit Remake

Programs
- Lossless scaling (I only recommend using Frame Generation must have a 40 series NVIDIA card. Have to buy to use sadly)

Future updates
- Update the lighting to look closer to Red Dead Redemption 2
- Make a wabbajack list with just the requirements
- HDR support
