These are the MCM settings I use in my survival playthrough for my new collection Fallout Upgrayedded.

None of the requirements are hard requirements since they're all presets for MCM. If you have installed the Fallout Upgrayedded collection then you already have most of the required mods. The rest are settings for visual mods found in Upgrayedded Environment and Visuals.

This also pairs well with many of the survival mod collections out there

Immersive needs are enabled and all have penalties
  • Water
  • Food
  • Sleep - deprivation will affect you now
  • Shelter - You will suffer from cold and wet
  • Hygiene
  • Dental hygiene
  • Bathroom needs
  • Infection
  • Disease
  • Sickness
  • Meds cause thirst
  • Food spoils when it gets old

Incoming and outgoing damage have both been adjusted. Bullets hurt. Bloatflies don't take a clip to kill, but a Brahmin sure as hell does.
With none of the bad parts of FO4 survival mode.

  • Play at normal difficulty with immersive survival needs so you can still quicksave and fast travel. Game difficulty should no longer be managed by the game since all it does is apply damage multipliers. All the survival mode should do now is disable fast travel and quick saves. Instead, the game is configured using the GCM, Advanced Needs 76, and True Damage. I put a lot of time into tweaking the configuration and it's still a work in progress, so any contributions to the mod or Google Doc are welcomed.
  • The initial carry weight is lower, but the Strength multiplier is slightly higher.
  • Best to keep a camping kit, but have Dogmeat carry the extra weight.

There are a lot of hotkeys so I put them into a Google Doc that you can refer to and comment on.

There is now a Lite survival mode that does not have dental or hygiene requirements and meds do not cause thirst
