Description :
The M2 flamethrower was a man-portable backpack flamethrower manufactured by Poseidon Energy. The majority were scrapped when they were declared obsolete and replaced by the heavy flamer. Though some M2s were sold off to civilians and can be now found in the hands of the gunners.

Information :
You can find unique variants in Vault 81 and in Saugus Ironworks.
The weapon can't be crafted or bought, you can only find it on gunners. (or Help M2 4 weap)
Disclaimer, this is a strong weapon dealing fire damage (not energy). So it might be unbalanced for you game (or survival).
I recommend you to use a mod that adds fire damage resistance to your armor/outfits (AWKCR has that).
It is an heavy weapon so it will benefit from the Heavy Gunner perk.
The weapon comes with a backpack/tanks. There is a small script equipping the tanks to the player when drawing the weapon (it doesn't work on NPC).
The fire effect is useless against power armor.

- M2 Gunner Receiver :  +4 fire damage.
- M2 Raider Improved Receiver : +4 fire damage / + 5 energy damage.
- M2 Improved Receiver : +6 fire damage / + 6 energy damage.
- M2 Hans Receiver : +5 fire damage / + 4 energy damage.

* Barrel
- M2 Standard Barrel : +2 fire damage / range of 1418.
- M2 Short Barrel : +4 fire damage / range of 1024.
- M2 Long Barrel : range of 1836.

* Tanks
- Gas : 4 damage for 4 seconds, consecutive hits will extend the duration of the effect. 
- Jet-Fuel : 8 damage for 6 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Pressurized Jet-Fuel : (+2 fire damage) 8 damage for 6 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Irradiated Jet-Fuel : (+20 radiation damage) 8 damage for 6 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Pressurized Napalm : 12 damage for 12 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Vault-Tec Pressurized Napalm : (+2 fire damage) 12 damage for 12 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.

* Uniques
- Hans Flamethrower : +3 fire damage / 100 ammo / Legendary "Junkie's".
- Vault-Tec Cleaner : +2 fire damage / Legendary "Never Ending".
