Update - 2.3 (16/08/24):
  • Rebalance the weapon, now does energy damages.
  • Fixes a few bugs.
  • Removes the placed NPCs and weapons, to allow more compatibility with others mods.
  • Scripted Leveled List injection of the new enemies (Pyro Raider and Gunner cleaner).
  • The weapon can now be crafted.
  • Damage modifier was added.
  • Rework of the "Vault-Tec" unique, it's now a cryo weapon.

Originally developed for military use before the Great War, the M2 flamethrower was one of Poseidon Energy's more controversial products. When the military phased them out in favor of heavier models, many were sold off to private security firms and civilian buyers looking for the ultimate pest control tool. In the decades after the bombs fell, most were lost to time or ruined by improper maintenance - but a handful still remain operational in the hands of those ruthless enough to wield them.

These days, you'll mostly find M2 units in the possession of Gunner assault teams, who use them to flush enemies out of fortified positions. Among the Raiders of the Commonwealth, an operational M2 flamethrower is both a weapon and a status symbol. Most gangs can only dream of acquiring one - the few that do become instantly feared. The Forged in particular prize these weapons, seeing their fire as a purification ritual.



The weapon can be crafted at the Chemistry Station under "M2 Flamethrower". (or Help M2 4 weap)
It is an heavy weapon so it will benefit from the Heavy Gunner perk.
The weapon comes with a backpack/tanks. There is a small script equipping the tanks to the player when drawing the weapon (only affect the player).
Power armor animations are far from perfect but it's playable.

- Gas : +4 DMG for 4 seconds, consecutive hits will extend the duration of the effect. 
- Jet-Fuel : +8 DMG for 6 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Pressurized Jet-Fuel : (+1 fire DMG) +2 DMG for 6 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Irradiated Jet-Fuel : (+20 radiation DMG) +2 DMG for 6 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Pressurized Napalm : +5 DMG for 12 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- Vault-Tec Pressurized Napalm : (+2 fire DMG) +5 DMG for 12 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
- (UNIQUE)Pressurized Liquid Nitrogen : (+2 fire DMG) +2 DMG for 12 seconds, consecutive hits will stack the effect.
