I made Immersive Unique Children Talk, a MOD where the children will talk about your spouse and the other NPCs. But none of the NPC recognize my farmer's children in the game. So I make this new MOD.

This MOD adds 35 new events for your children. (23 events for base game, 12 crossover events):

This mod also adds 340 additional dialogues for the vanilla NPCs and also Modded NPCs from the following :

Can be added mid-save. But the event will start from the first baby event.

Please Enable the Crib (find Robin) before adding this MOD.
(if you add this mod after having grown-up children)

Please Check the CONFIG before loading your game. You need to choose how the children call you and your spouse.

Required MODs:
1) Content Patcher
2) Custom Tokens
3) Generic Mod Config Menu

Highly Recommended MODs:
1) Lasting Conversation Topics - all additional dialogues are written as Conversation Topic, so it won't replace the dialogues from the other mod, and you will not miss them if you install LCT.
2) Immersive Unique Children Talk or Unique Children Talk - these mods allow your children to talk, and I made IUCT, some of the dialogues in IUCT and IF are related.
3) Immersive Children- Portraits and Sprites - matching portraits and sprites for the Portrait Version.
4) SH's Wild Animals - some animal sprites from this mod have been used, you may find it more immersive if this mod is installed.

For immersive family (Portrait Version) only:

In the old version, the children can only talk in overhead bubble during the events. In Immersive Family (Portraits Version), the children can now talk during the events using the usual dialogue box with portrait like a normal NPC. If you use the Portraits Version, please ensure that you do not install the original version.

Please set the additional config using Generic Mod Config Menu before loading your save game with children. Please also note that you need to change the config (state the children's names) every time loading a save game with different spouse and children:

UsePortraitMOD- Tick this if you are using a content patcher MOD that modifies the children's portraits during events such as Immersive Children- Portraits and Sprites

How to use the portraits for children for Immersive Family (Portrait Version):

A) If you are using Immersive Children- Portraits and Sprites, just install it following the instructions and set the config options as stated on the mod page. Please tick the UsePortraitMOD config option for Immersive Family.

B) If you are using combination of children's sprites MOD and compatible portraits for Immersive Unique Children Talk (6 expressions) such as:
- Find the portraits files in those MOD.
- Duplicate and Rename the portrait files to Toddler and Toddler_Girl
- Please copy the portraits and paste them in the assets\Portraits folder in the Immersive Family MOD folder. You need to replace the files there.
- Please also ensure that UsePortraitMOD is not ticked under config.

If you want to consider commission artists to make matching portraits for wonderful children sprite MODs such as Unique Children, Elaho babies, Babies Take After Spouse, Lumisteria Toddlers Like Parents etc, you may look for Portrait Artists such as:

Compatibility and FAQ:

1) Writing style:
- This mod can be used for any spouse, biological or adoption, but may not be compatible writing wise if:
  • you think your spouse has a very unique way of talking and so a more generic dialogues won't suit them.
  • your spouse should have earlier experience in raising children, so not compatible for Looking for Love, Olivia (SVE) etc
  • MOD that has added own vanilla baby or toddler stages events, like RRRR
- Personally fully tested all events with Haley, Penny, Sam, Maru and Flor (RSV) as spouse.

2) Farmhouse
- Vanilla farmhouse, Lune Farmhouse and Bigger Farmhouse Map - Compatible, leave the highlighted areas empty (check the modpage screenshot).
- The other custom farmhouse MOD, please expect clipping and install Noclip Mode mod, press F11 during event if your farmer stuck in the wall or something.

3) Toddler Sprite
- Vanilla toddler sprite- please tick the relevant option under CONFIG if dark skin
- Custom toddler sprite:
  • Unique Children is fully tested and compatible
  • Immersive Children- Portraits and Sprites - fully compatible and comes with portraits.
  • Elaho babies is randomly tested and should work
  • The other CP MOD that overwrites toddler sprite should work, if it is not, please ask their author.
  • Alternative Texture MOD toddler sprite - Open the folder of AT MOD used, find the boy and girl toddler sprite files that you want to use, copy and paste somewhere else, then rename to Toddler and Toddler_girl, and finally copy and replace the files of same name in my mod folder under [CP] Immersive Family\assets\AT Toddlers. Remember to enable AlternativeTextureToddlerSprites under CONFIG before loading your save. (Limited testing, tell me if doesn't work)
- Baby sprite- A temporary actor has been used due to technical limitation, let see if we can do better in 1.6.

4) Free Love MOD
- I don't use this mod, should work but probably will be weird in certain situation.
  • Your main spouse only should appear in the event.
  • Your main spouse, first and second children only should be mentioned in the dialogues.
  • More than 2 children, 2 children of same gender- not compatible, probably will only cause incorrect children sprite in the events
  • Free Love will allow you to have second child before the first one turning into toddler (different from vanilla). Highly recommended to only accept the second child after the first one turning into toddler if you want the events to happen at the correct timing

5) LittleNPCs and the The Farmer's Children MOD
- Converted your children into real npc already- not compatible, not sure what will happen in the events.
- Finish all the events from my mod first before adding them - should be compatible

6) Event Limiter
- The baby stage events will not happen on time, but you won't miss them totally.
- You may notice the second part of certain event is not triggering, consider increasing your limit temporarily when using this mod.
