I've seen this question pop up a lot, despite it being addressed in the FAQ on the description page. So, let me clarify here.
If your main goal is to have your kids leave the house as soon as possible and follow a schedule like regular NPCs, then go for Farmer's Children.
If you've already installed Farmer's Children and your kids are now NPCs, it won't work with Immersive Family.
However, if you're aiming for a more immersive gameplay experience, a full story-line from they are still babies to grown up kids, consider this:
Start with Immersive Family and Immersive Unique Children Talk first, with these, you'll consistently get new events and new children's dialogues for around 2-3 in-game years.
Once you've exhausted all the events from Immersive Family, then go ahead and add the Farmer's Children mod to turn them into real NPCs.

Hi downloaded the mod but I couldn't trigger the first event is there a specific time? I still use sdv 1.5 mobile and used Alex as a spouse to check out the mod. Great mod I really love the idea (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
You may check how to trigger the events on the article page. Not sure how this mod works with mobile 1.5 now, as this mod requires other mod that probably not working for 1.5 anymore.

Hi, I've been using your mod for a couple of days and I've noticed a small inconsistency when married to two characters. I'm not sure if the mod only recognizes one husband at a time or if it only considers spouses from the original game rather than those added by mods. In my case, I have Valley Expanded installed, along with this mod and several others. However, I've noticed an issue where this mod does not correctly detect Victor as my principal husband. I read the information or the disclaimer, where you mentioned the concept of a "principal husband," and for me, that should be Victor, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. Could you clarify how the mod handles this? ..TT TT Thank you!
Vanilla game only can have 1 spouse, so this mod recognises one spouse. If you want to change who is your main spouse, you need to check the relevant mod page (allowing multiple spouse) for how to change it. If that does not work, you may need to ask those mod author.
I've been playing with this mod in my game for a little while and I have to say it's very quickly become a mod I don't think I could play without because I always love having a family in Stardew and always hated that no one acknowledged that I had a family even worse when when only really Sam would bring up that you have childen together or anything to do with them outside of a line in the morning and maybe one at night.
So yeah I think this mod helps not only bring new life to your family but also helps make the town feel less like it's in a time freeze, plus it's just really sweet and wholesome.
