Big Guns Patcher - ESPless

Framework to convert any weapon to use the Big Guns skill! Uses an easy-to-use configuration format, and works without an ESP! Natively compatible with TTW, and a few other weapon packs.

The Big Guns skill is made available to use in New Vegas via the JIP LN NVSE Plugin, however, the weapons provided with the game do not change skills when this option is enabled. This script will change that, and gives a full suite of weapons to choose when using the Big Guns skill!

Big Guns are your Miniguns, Rocket Launchers, Shotguns (due to recoil), Light Machine Guns, and your big revolvers (.44 Magnum). A variety of levels are configured to ensure that you have a balanced set of weapons to choose from throughout your run!

NOTE:
While the Big Guns skill has been revived and weapons will use it with this installed, Perks/Traits and other NPCs may not be fully compatible. While NPCs will still use them, they may end up doing less damage and there are just no Perks in the base game that uses the Big Guns skill. I recommend using some other mods from Sweet6Shooter to help balance this:

None of these are required, but will make the game better for sure!

REQUIRES that JIP LN NVSE Plugin has the "bEnableBigGunsSkill" enabled. If it is not, the feature will be turned on automatically and you will be prompted (forced) to restart the game.
The configuration file is available at: NVSE\Plugins\jip_nvse.ini

Compatibility:
Installer is aware of SWEEP - Sweet Weapon Enhancement and Expansion Package by Sweet6Shooter, and will disable the base NV and TTW integrations in lieu of SWEEP.

Should be compatible with everything else!

ySI - Sorting Ycons - Big Guns Patch
A Patch for ySI - Sorting Ycons is included in the installer so that weapons tagged with Big Guns are sorted correctly and show an icon. A NEW version of the patch is now provided that is compatible with ySI - Colorful Icons Fix by Stentorious if used, or not.
NOTE: This patch is not perfect, and there may still be some guns that are incorrectly labeled.  Just deal with it for now.

Configuration:
Available configuration is at: Config\BigGuns\*.ini
There are multiple INI files present here, and each will configure select guns.  To disable configuration on any weapon, change its value to "-1" or just remove it from the configuration file!

How to create a patch:

Want to make a patch? That's easy!

Create a new INI file at: Config\BigGuns\MyNewPatch.ini

The format for the configuration is as follows:

[BigGuns]
EDITORID = SKILL


That's it!
A check is performed on each EditorID, so you can include weapons that someone doesn't actually have installed in your patches without issue.  Include as many weapons as you want, but try to split the configuration by mod.


FAQ:
Q: Wait, doesn't Another Millenia and Classic Fallout Weapons Remastered already have native Big Guns implementations?
A: Yup! But let's be real, most people don't even bother looking at the configurations to know this is a feature. This integration is easy and can be distributed by mod packs or whatever to ensure that it is enabled.  For consistency/ease of use/completion, I also wanted to include this here. Should be fine, can opt to not install their configs if you have it enabled already.

Q: What's the difference between this and S6S Big Guns Implementation?
A: ESPless - I based this on that mod's leveling configuration, tweaked a few things to my liking, and added "Skill level 0" support for the configuration.

Q: I don't like Big Guns.
A: Then don't use this
