About this mod

A player home which can be installed with Transfer Settlements or Clipboard Resurrection.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
A replacement for Croup Manor inspired by mesoamerican architecture. This two-bedroom house has a large living room, kitchen and office on the lower level and the bedrooms and private bathrooms above. The original Croup Manor basement is still accessible. The building is split along the north-south axis with a waterfall installation in the center which supplies an infinity-edge pool on the cliffs.

Required DLCs:
  • DLC: Wasteland Workshop
  • DLC: Vault-Tec Workshop

Required mods:

Note that these are direct requirements only. Some of them have additional requirements of their own that need to be installed as well.

Some decoration objects were placed with my mod Vanilla Objects. It is not required for importing.

Additional environment mods used for the screenshots (not required):

Installation:
  • Install with a mod manager.
  • I recommend saving after each of the following steps. The game is prone to crashing after a large building import. The first save directly after importing can take a long time even on a very fast PC.
  • Travel to Croup Manor.
  • Scrap most of the objects. Do scrap:
    • Everything in / adjacent to the house and the round driveway area, including the fences, cars & other debris, mist, ghoul ambush objects, etc.
    • The trees and brambles north of the house on the cliffs
    Do not scrap:
    • The workshop
    • The basement door
    • Trees on the east, south and west side
    • Any rocks, cliffs or trees around the perimeter or the road leading up to the round driveway
When using Place Everywhere, keep "extra object selection" disabled to avoid accidentally scrapping important objects like the workshop.See image (tbd) for what the area should look like after scrapping.
  • Open the console, select the workshop and run this command to move it to the correct spot:
    setpos x 91401; setpos y 37691; setpos z 745; setangle z 90
  • When using Clipboard Resurrection (preferred because it's much faster and doesn't require a specific settlement): Build the clipboard tool, choose "Move To Pattern Source Location" in the action menu first, then "Paste From Clipboard".
  • Alternatively, when using Transfer Settlements: Use the holotape to import the blueprint. Make sure "Import or nuke marker-based items" is selected. Note that I only test with the "Stable" preset. Use anything else at your own risk.
  • In my testing all objects with wireless power worked correctly after importing, but if this is not the case, make sure the power is turned on, then pick up the object in workshop mode and release it again.
