Updated 5/27/2023 Repackaged and re-released as an ESL tagged ESP. Please read the Important Considerations below as the old versions are not compatible with the new ESL tagged versions. The ESL tagged ESP will be the only version supported moving forward.
The following change was made in the above release. Due to the challenges around sharing a Recruit perk, this mod can only be used to Recruit NPCs added by my mods. It will no longer prompt for NPCs added by other mods. This is because many other mods need to use their internal logic to complete the recruitment process, and my logic does not work for all NPCs added by other mods.
Important considerations Please READ :
- If you are running this mod or any of the mods below in an existing game, do not upgrade; start a new game. The older versions (prior to 5/27/2023) of these mods (non esl tagged) are not compatible. Do not mix the old (non esl tagged) versions with the new 'ESL Tagged' versions of the framework or any mods below; you will corrupt your saved game.
- Animal Rescue
- Nomads (Wandering Settlers)
- Recruitable NPCs
- Normalized Covenant Settlers (formerly Moveable Covenant Settlers)
- Install the new 'ESL tagged' versions only into a new game, or in-progress games where 'none' of the above mods are/were installed.
- The FCOM patch is no longer provided. I believe v2.0 of the Framework should now play well with FCOM with no patch needed. I will not be providing further support for my mods and FCOM.
- Other mods that use the alternate dialog to interface with NPCs may conflict. If you are not getting a 'R'ecruit / 'R'escue prompt check your load order for any other mods that use alternate dialog/action. Temporarily disable the other mods to see if the recruitment options appear.
Known conflicting mods:
- What's Your Name - this mod should be compatible when used with the 'hotkey' approach described on the mod's Nexus page.
- SKK Workshop Ownership Utilities, or SKK Random Encounter Manager, When using the Recruit option in either of these mods, download and install the applicable patch I provide in optional files.
This mod is a required resource for my, and other mod author's, settler mods :
This framework mod provides the recruitment perk and scripting required by the above mods to recruit the npcs added in my mods. You need to be near but not on top of an NPC for the Recruit prompt to appear.
