Brothers in Arms - TW3 Bug Fix and Restored Content Collection (BiA) is a collection of 5,492 bug fixes and restored content for The Witcher 3, spanning the entire campaign and both expansion packs. The fixes consist of a variety of categories and types, including: quest fixes, dialogue fixes, restoring of hidden / cut content, gameplay fixes, journal fixes, graphical issues, and more.

  • Fixed a chat between Hjort and Udalryk in his house that was impossible to hear after your first meeting with him.
  • Fixed Chameleon being considered exterior area while its in theatrical style. Addendum to fix #12, previously was only fixed for the boudoir style.
  • Fixed the placement of an NPC that was sitting on a bench and clipping through a table.
  • Fixed missing shadows of a horse carcass guarded by a wyvern near Lindenvale.
  • Multiple fixes during "Last Wish" quest: Restored missing Yennefer's line after moving too far when accompanying her to Larvik. Fixed the boat in the big crater erroneously glowing in red as a clue even though you can't interact with it.
  • Fixed missing shadows for Avallac'h's boat in the cutscene where he saves Ciri during" The Calm Before the Storm" quest.
  • Fixed Geralt using a randomly picked steel sword from the inventory during the cutscene where pirates attack your ship and after it in "Destination: Skellige" quest instead of using the last equipped sword.
  • Fixed missing shadows casted by monster remains.
  • Fixed double health/stamina regeneration issue present in the game. Thanks to skyliner390 for the fix.
  • Fixed missing shadows for a dog's corpse during Contract: Shrieker "quest".
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: Missing Brother" quest: Fixed missing shadows for few objects in front of and inside the mine. Restored missing line said by Geralt when finding Mikkel's remains inside the cave if he had previously spoken to Bruno. Restored one unused line when interacting with the digested blood and flesh clue. Fixed a journal entry not correctly activating in the scenario where Geralt found the cave by himself.
  • Fixed overlapping lines during "Contract: Jenny o' the Woods" quest when interacting with the footprints if you had already interacted with the torn fabric.
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: Mystery of the Byways Murders" quest: Fixed missing shadows for the dog and pig carcasses. Restored a missing line when following the scent of blood.
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: Phantom of the Trade Route" quest: Restored 2 oneliners said by the refugees after slaying the royal wyvern. Fixed oneliners of the refugees after meeting them in the cave to correctly show subtitles above the corresponding speakers (in vanilla they're switched around) and also made them to play automatically to make more sense. Restored a dialogue with the quest giver that couldn't be obtained by normal means triggered after you save the refugees without lying to them that the danger has passed.
  • Restored one alternative line during "Contract: Mysterious Tracks" quest when interacting with the chort tracks inside the cave as last.
  • Restored one line when finding the archgriffin immediately during the night during "Contract: The Creature from Oxenfurt Forest" quest.
  • Removed a condition from a chat between peasants in Velen's shipyard.
  • Removed a condition from a chat between peasants in Midcopse.
  • Fixed dialogues lines from a praying woman in Lindenvale's graveyard to randomize correctly.
  • Fixed chats between Nilfgaardian soldiers in a military outpost to randomize correctly.

  • Removed a condition from a chat between peasant women in Mire Landing .
  • Fixed three scenes between citizens of Oxenfurt not having cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat every 30 seconds.
  • Fixed a scene between mercenaries in the camp of Hans of Cidaris not having cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat every 30 seconds.
  • Removed a condition from a dialogue option with Zoltan about burning pyres so you have a wider window in which to listen to it.
  • Fixed broken interactions with guards outside Triss' house during "Now or Never" quest. Fixed Geralt's comment on them, guard chat and the ability to talk with them.
  • Removed condtitions from 2 chats between workers in Vegelbud Residence gardens.
  • Fixed chats between villagers on An Skellig to randomize correctly.
  • Redesigned all scenes involving random chats between NPCs when the NPCs have more than a single conversation tied to them. In vanilla all conversations have 5-10 minutes cooldown and they always start with the same conversation, making it possible to hear the second or third conversations only if Geralt hangs around the NPCs for 5-10 minutes. Reloading also didn't work as that reset the timer and restarted with the first conversation. All scenes involved will now have 30 second delay between different conversations, giving the player a realistic chance to experience the scenes. 
  • Fixed missing shadows for the first dwarf's corpse during "Contract: Lord of the Wood" quest.
  • Restored 2 lines during "Contract: An Elusive Thief" quest: When checking the doppler's claw marks on city walls. When chasing the doppler.
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: Door Slamming Shut" quest: Fixed one line that could be obtained only by reaching the earth elemental before examining all clues in the basement even though it makes perfect sense every time. Fixed dialogue with the quest giver where he would unnecessarily repeat a big part of the dialogue if you had refused his offer before.
  • Fixed unobtainable dialogue with Holofernes Meiersdorf when exiting the dialogue during "Contract: The Apiarian Phantom" quest.
  • Restored 2 lines during "Contract: The White Lady" quest: When Geralt concludes the monster is a noonwraith (vanilla reuses the same line used in "Contract: Devil by the Well"). When spotting the tower if you started the quest from the noticeboard.
  • Restored 2 lines during "Contract: The Phantom of Eldberg" quest: When approaching the clue on the lighthouse. When Mikkjal runs towards the lighthouse during the Penitent fight.
  • Fixed one missing line due to a missing fact when interacting with the crushed bones clue if you found the dead miner before in the woods during "Contract: Missing Miners" quest.
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted" quest: Fixed the endrega warriors and venomous arachas fought inside the cave being wrongly labeled as "Endrega" and "Arachas" respectively.
  • Fixed 2 non-functional lines said by the werewolf at the beginning of the fight - one when you fight him alone, the other when you fight all monsters.
  • Fixed wrong strings used for the diagrams of Toussaint knight's tourney armor set where the whole set was incorrectly labeled as Toussaint knight's armor/gauntlets/trousers/boots.
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: The Tufo Monster" quest: Restored one line when Geralt spots the cracked wall in the wine cellar. Restored one line after destroying the cracked wall about the tunnels. Restored one line after killing at least one kikimore. Fixed non-functioning line after entering the kikimore nest. Fixed chat between Monsieur and Madame de Bourbeau when returning back from the tunnels that was impossible to hear in vanilla due to it triggering while you're too deep in the tunnel system. Restored one line after spotting the dead workers in shaelmaar's lair.
  • Fixed missing description for the Shaelmaar Bait item.
  • Multiple fixes during "Contract: Patrol Gone Missing" quest: -Restored 2 lines in the abandoned Nilfgaardian camp - one when you took the quest from the quartermaster, the other one when found on your own. Fixed unobtainable line after finding the killed Redanian prisoners - now it plays if you know they're prisoners (by examining all footprints), the vanilla line now plays correctly if Geralt doesn't know that they're prisoners (by not examining all footprints). Fixed wrong greeting reaction by the quartermaster after the quest is finished due to a wrong fact - in vanilla he had a hostile attitude when you didn't find the prisoners and vice versa. Also fixed Geralt looking away after the quartermaster's line is finished. Fixed sudden camera shift when telling the quartermaster you found the soldiers' bodies.
  • Removed condtition from another chat between workers in Vegelbud Residence gardens that was otherwise inaccessible without using console commands.
  • Added missing cave icon to the back exit of the cave from "Peace Disturbed" quest.
  • Fixed various scenes having a very small cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat too often, breaking immersion.
  • Fixed a scene between clan Brokvar guards in drowner beach on Spikeroog not having cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat every 30 seconds.
  • Fixed a scene between hunters in Rogne village not having cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat every 2 seconds.
  • Fixed quest reward being given twice during "A Greedy God" quest. Thanks to FreakVIp for the fix.
  • Fixed Johann Bohner taking Orens besides Crowns (if Geralt has them in inventory) as a loan during "Worthy of Trust" quest. Thanks to FreakVIp for the fix.
  • Multiple fixes during "Big Game Hunter" quest: Fixed wrong flow in the final scene when Geralt behaved like an asshole where the stand up and receive money animation played twice. Fixed a bug where the count didn't spawn at the party if you told him you're not sure whether you'll go there. Fixed count's missing interaction oneliner if you told him you're not sure whether you'll go to his party. Fixed 3 servants at the party spawning too late and thus breaking their oneliner, they also bow to you correctly now. Restored a greeting line by the count after talking to him at the party: the interaction with him is available only once to preserve 2 vanilla interaction oneliners.
  • Multiple fixes during "Feet as Cold as Ice" quest: Fixed small camera jerk when exiting the dialogue with François. Restored oneliner after burning 3 flowers in Grottore's cave. Restored line when interacting with François' dead body. Fixed missing cinematic oneliner for one of Geralt's lines. Fixed combat music playing after burning the first flower. Restored Jacquette's interactive oneliner after the quest is done if she'll marry François. Fixed some missing QUEST UPDATED! messages.
  • Multiple fixes during "Equine Phantoms" quest: Restored one line when you follow the blood trail leading into the woods. Fixed Roach's line not working when using Axii on her when chasing the Umbra. Restored Roach's line if you reach 0 stamina.
  • Multiple fixes during "Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear" quest: Restored a line when reading the first note in Fort Ussar Ruins if you have already completed "Turn and Face the Strange" quest. Fixed one line not playing when searching for the portal crystal because it was overriden by a different line.
  • Fixed one line not playing after entering the cave with archespores in the quest "Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Feline Gear".
  • Multiple fixes during "Fists of Fury: Toussaint" quest: Restored one line when approaching the bookie next to Still Waters. Restored 2 lines when fistfighting Mancomb. Fixed unobtainable line said by the bookie next to Colossus if you exited the dialogue and talked to him again.
  • Multiple fixes during "Till Death Do You Part" quest: Restored one line when looking for the house where Margot's reward is located. Restored one line after getting the objective to find the reward if you started the quest alone. Restored one line after talking to the guard in the cemetery if you started the quest alone. Fixed 4 oneliners not working said by 4 different citizens around the cemetery at night. Fixed wrong variants being used after killing the graverobbers inside the catacombs (changes based on hearing the noise or not and time of day).
  • Multiple fixes during "A Knight's Tales" quest: Fixed one additional line after examining Sir Gareth's remains. Restored one line after defeating the witch. Fixed a sudden head jerk of the witch when selecting the first dialogue option after defeating her.
  • Multiple fixes during "Paperchase" quest: Fixed unobtainable line said by the bank veteran after returning from the fistfight with one of the customers. Fixed one of the guards being stuck inside the bank during the fistfight and thus not being able to hear his line after the fight is over. Fixed one line not playing after talking to the clerk at window 1 for the first time. Fixed one small dialogue not playing when attempting to open the door to the clerk in upper floor (available only before talking to the clerk at window 1). Fixed one line not playing when attempting to open the vault gate without the key after fighting Cianfanelli's guards. Restored 2 lines said by the vault guards when attempting to open the vault gate.
  • Restored unused quest objective and a dialogue between Geralt and the art curator giving more details about Reginald while you walk towards his statue during "Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls of Granite!" quest.
  • Restored missing ropes for the player's boat. Updated the entirety of the boat shape so only the parts where Geralt's scabbards could possibly clip were tweaked. Removed the possibility of ropes clipping into the boat mesh itself. The rope physics were left intact. Thanks to Scoutbr0 for the fix.
  • Fixed snowflakes showing up in interiors for the snow effect used in the q501_Storm weather. Thanks to Scoutbr0 for the fix.
  • Multiple fixes during "Mutual of Beauclair's Wild Kingdom" quest: Restored expanded line when examining the silver basilisk scale during the quest. Fixed the Reavers' chat being inaudible from the start because it beginns from a long distance form them.
  • Multiple fixes during "Of Sheers and a Witcher I Sing" quest: Restored 2 lines when moving too far away from Le Papillon and then returning back to him. Restored one line while following the tracks left by Jean-Louis. Restored one line when fighting Beau Duvall and getting too close to Le Papillon.
  • Multiple fixes during "Father Knows Worst" quest: Fixed one broken part of dialogue after fighting Hugo's brothers and not having the condenser. Fixed a bug where the frame of Victor Monnart's portrait was visible and could be interacted with in The Clever Clogs tavern even though the brothers didn't reconcile.
  • Multiple fixes during "Turn and Face the Strange" quest: Restored one line when close to the boulder before the second panther fight. Restored one line when fighting the third pale widow.
  • Fixed broken dialogue variant with the foreman of Ardaiso Quarry when you talk about the falling cow during "Contract: Bovine Blues" quest. Now the correct variant plays if you had previously seen the cow's carcass and the necrophages around it before talking to the foreman.
  • Fixed incorrect breathing/panting sound during "Big Feet to Fill: The Second Group" quest that was present only before finishing "Contract: Bovine Blues" quest.
  • Fixed incorrect emphasis on the payment option during "Vintner's Contract: Chuchote Cave" quest
  • Fixed small camera jerk after selecting the payment option during "Vintner's Contract: Rivecalme Storehouse" quest.
  • Fixed the quest giver floating above the ground when talking to him during "Vintner's Contract: Dun Tynne Hillside" quest. Also fixed Geralt looking away from the quest giver if you had previously exited the dialogue before accepting the quest and then returned back.
  • Fixed the payment option being incorrectly available more than once during "Vintner's Contract: Cleaning Those Hard-to-Reach Places" quest.
  • Multiple fixes during "The Warble of a Smitten Knight" quest: Restored dialogue about poetry between Guillaume and Vivienne after transfering the curse. Restored Guillaume's interaction oneliner if you skip the training tutorials. Restored third chat between Guillaume and Vivienne in Beauclair Palace in the last main quest or later. Restored worker's oneliner near the training arena. Fixed additional broken Guillaume's lines when near the training arena. Fixed unobtainable line variant during the marksmanship contest when Horm hits at least 5 targets before Geralt. Fixed Le Papillon's broken line when Gregoire de Gorgon's health drops below 35%. Fixed broken line of the arena crowd cheering when Gregoire de Gorgon's health drops below 60% (2 variants for Geralt and Ravix respectively).
  • Multiple fixes during "Blood Run", "La Cage au Fou" and "Where Children Toil, Toys Waste Away" quests: Fixed some camera jerks/jumps during the dialogue with Regis after the fight with Dettlaff. Fixed unobtainable line when inspecting the cage where Regis is locked up. Restored additional line after Regis' bloodlust is full. Fixed a camera jerk during the dialogue about Dettlaff trying to find Syanna.
  • Multiple fixes during "Wine Is Sacred", "The Man from Cintra" and "Amidst the Mill's Grist" quests: Restored a chat between Anna Henrietta and Damien after refusing to go immediately to Castel Ravello. Restored several lines when encountering the panthers attacking civilians. Fixed unobtainable chat variant when ignoring the panthers and riding straight to Castel Ravello. Fixed next-gen only bug where the game removes Geralt's mask (if you equipped it earlier) when meeting Anna Henrietta outside Mandragora and thus preventing you from obtaining a unique line from her. Restored oneliners when throwing the paint balls in Madragora. Fixing unobtainable oneliner from a guard blocking access to the VIP section of Mandragora. Restored 2 oneliners from the guy letting people inside Mandragora (available only before meeting Anna Henrietta). Fixed 3 camera jerks during the dialogue with Regis inside Mandragora. Fixed missing oneliner if you pick up the notice at De la Croix's Mill too fast. Fixed Damien's oneliners being inaudible when approaching him at the mill due to wall occlusion.
  • Multiple fixes during "The Night of Long Fangs", "What Lies Unseen", "Beyond Hill and Dale..." and "Tesham Mutna" quests: Fixed missing group of women running away after killing a bruxa endangering a little girl and with that 2 random oneliners. Restored chat between Geralt and Regis about Damien's tactics after finding the soldiers' footsteps. Restored one more variant from a citizen being grabbed by a flying fleder. Fixed unobtainable Geralt's line when examining a second waterfall inside the Elder's cave. Restored line when approaching the mage's camp. Restored line after reading the first note. Restored line about the weird gravity if you previously read the first note after the gravity is reversed. Fixed overlapping lines after reading the mage's journal. Fixed overlapping lines after destroying the stalagmite with Aard. Restored Syanna's line after hitting the witch's broom. Fixed missing line when approaching the place for seeding the beans before finding all of them. Fixed broken line after killing the Three Bears. Fixed missing line after obtaining all three beans. Fixed unobtainable oneliner from the Big Bad Wolf. Fixed the line when approaching the goose's house that gets cut in half and Syanna's line was missing. Fixed unobtainable line about a nice view shortly before seeing the unicorns. Fixed Dettlaff being considered a human during the last phase of the fight with him and thus making the vampire oil and Protective Coating skill ineffective.
  • Fixed the bootblack not having a richer stand for his business if you gave him money for information about Dettlaff during "Where Children Toil, Toys Waste Away" quest. His new stand is now available once the last main quest starts. With this also fixed unobtainable dialogue between Regis, Geralt and the bootblack about the new stand if you decide to search for the 5th letter and a journal entry.
Version 2.4:
  • Multiple fixes during "Armed Assault" quest. Includes fixes to quest not activating and closing correctly and fixes to quest objectives.
  • Fixed 2 contestants not despawning from the game after defeating Einar during "Fists of Fury: Skellige" quest.
  • Fixed journal entry order for "Master Armorers" quest.
  • Fixed low LOD for Radovid's crown causing it to disappear in some distant camera shots.
  • Fixed 2 beds clipping through each other inside Odolan's house in White Orchard.
  • Fixed "Metabolism Boosts" skill not actually using Adrenaline Points like stated in the description.
  • Fixed missing spacing in the character statistics menu for Yrden and Axii duration stats.
  • Restored original "The Whispering Hillock" fast travel marker and its unique description. This replaces "Ancient Oak" marker which was moved to its original location on top of the mountain overlooking the sabbath area from "The Bald Mountain" quest. The Ancient Oak marker was originally moved to current location for the E3 demo video of the game and then never put back, claims an inside source. Note: The moved marker requires DLC: Fast Travel pack mod by MerseyRockoff to work.

  • Fixed Casimir's journal entry not correctly updating in certain outcomes of "Open Sesame! - The Safecracker" quest.
  • Fixed a woman clipping through a barrel during "Dead Man's Party" quest.
  • Fixed Shani's legs clipping through the bench she is sitting on during "Dead Man's Party" quest.
  • Fixed two scenes between visitors of Chameleon not having cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat every 30 seconds.
  • Fixed "Vattier de Rideaux's Dagger" and "Assire var Anahid's Necklace" in Caesar Bilzen's home during "A Dangerous Game" quest both having double copies when looting them. These should both be unique pieces.
  • The Lara Dorren's Genealogy Tree in Avallac'h's lab can now be examined.
  • Fixed notice board in White Orchard during Empress ending highlighted on minimap as if having quests on it.
  • Fixed a few issues when approaching the Inn at the Crossroads during "The Nilfgaardian Connection" quest: Fixed a girl shouting when approaching from the north. Fixed her father's two lines to play properly. The girl now correctly runs from her watch post toward the house instead of teleporting in front of it when apporaching from the south. Fixed the girl using a boy's model although she's labeled "Girl", uses a girly voice and her father calls her "Hanna".
  • Fixed an invisible corpse of a warrior on Snidhall Isle near archgriffin's nest.
  • Restored one-liner by the last victim right before finding the final body after "Carnal Sins" quest if Geralt failed to find the true murderer.
  • Compatibility fix for No Missable Trophies mod by MerseyRockoff. Stops Geralt from playing the skinning cutscene after receiving spotted wight's trophy.
  • Fixed placement when talking to Ermion so that he and Geralt remain in the cave under the tree instead of being teleported outside.
  • Fixed tags and category of "Phylactery" item so that it moves to the correct inventory pane. Only applicable when using "Fix Stuck Quest Items" mod by MerseyRockoff.
  • Fixed not being able to sell "Strange Meat" item. In vanilla it sits in the junk pile but is unable to be sold.
  • Fixed Keira sometimes not despawning from the game and permanently staying in Kaer Morhen where the burial took place after "Blood on the Battlefield" quest.
  • Multiple fixes during "In the Heart of the Woods" quest: Restored village to normal daily life if all the elders were killed and cleaned up the bodies that remained in the village forever. The village will get cleaned up 3 in-game days after completing the quest. Keep in mind that some of the villagers will still be sad about this outcome. Also cleaned up Harald's body in the outcome where ancient leshen was appeased, but Sven still killed Harald. His body will also be removed after 3 in-game days.
  • Restored 2 dialogue interactions between Geralt and Duke while chasing him to the sewers during "A Dangerous Game" quest. Also fixed the lines being hard to hear as there can be doors and obstacles between Geralt and Duke.
  • Restored one-liner by geralt when finding a body of a wolf near arachas' cave during "The Battle of Kaer Morhen" quest. [OPTIONAL ADD-ON ONLY]
  • Fixed a scene between kids near Crippled Kate's not having cooldown timer, which made them go on repeat every 10 seconds.
  • If Dudu takes Whoreson Junior's place during "Payback" quest he will now be available from 00:00-06:00 at Chameleon (normally he permanently despawns from the game). At daytime he will return to Whoreson's duties and won't be found.
  • Restored dialogue with Dudu after "Payback" quest if he takes Whoreson Junior's place.
  • Restored dialogue with Gert Borel during "Hazardous Goods" quest. [OPTIONAL ADD-ON ONLY]
  • Restored a lenghty sequence during "The Sunstone" quest involving Eyvind. Geralt can now help Eyvind light the signal fire. Comes with new dialogue, cutscene and quest objective. Hint: use Igni to light the bonfire.
  • Restored a group of five people watching the restored bonfire during "The Sunstone" quest. Also restored a unique dialogue between them. After witnessing their unique interaction they will go back to their daily lifes in Arinbjorn for the remainder of the game.
  • Restored the full wine puzzle during "Count Reuven's Treasure" quest. Experience for yourself to see what it's about.
    Also fixed Dudu's letter and wine bottle meshes not removed from the world when Geralt picks them up and respawning with the same items when the game is reloaded. [OPTIONAL ADD-ON ONLY]
  • Fixed 3 impossible to hear conversations between Crach and Eredin right before Geralt reaches the site of their fighting during "On Thin Ice" quest.

  • Fixed broken dialogue by witch hunters who are calling for help when Triss is burning down the building during "Count Reuven's Treasure" quest. They must still be alive for the conversation to trigger.

  • Postponed the start of "Where the Cat and Wolf Play…" quest by 2 days when Velen is loaded for the first time to give chance to visit Honorton before it is destroyed.  There are villagers alive and going about their business before the massacre occurs.  This is intended to be an Easter Egg and gives Geralt a chance to see the village before the events of "Where the Cat and Wolf Play..." occurs.  To see this, Geralt must go to Honorton in free roam as soon as going to Velen the first time or the opportunity will be lost on that playthrough.

Geralt will no longer look away from Keira when selecting the shopping option. Fixed very tiny camera shift when selecting the shopping option.

  • Fixed blood decals from Geralt's body disappearing almost instantly after the massacre in White Orchard, making the following dialogue with Yennefer about him covered in blood not making sense. Increased the duration of the blood effect to last througout the scene.

Restored lengthy dialogue with the innkeeper at the Inn at the Crossroads during "Nilfgaardian Connection" quest.
Reason: Dialogue is definitely cut on purpose and has an abrupt transition in the place where restored sequence merges with vanilla.

Restored the sequence with Dune and Hussar in the early prologue of the game while Geralt and Vesemir rides into the village for the first time. Includes unique conversation between Geralt and Vesemir and a unique dialogue option with Dune - can ask about Yennefer.
Reason: The sequence is cut on purpose, probably for pacing reasons. Even though it is possible to do this quest fully before witnessing Bram getting attacked by griffin, stepping too far outside the invisible zone, will teleport the player to the griffin cutscene. Also, the dialogue option about Yennefer has some repetitive lines.

Restored conversation between Ciri and Geralt and an objective to "Follow Ciri" during "Skjall's Grave" quest.  In vanilla the scene after graveyard immediately teleports Geralt and Ciri to the sheep pit. Now, Ciri will run there and Geralt will have an objective to follow her, they will also have a small conversation while running.
Reason: The sequence is cut on purpose, probably for pacing reasons. Apart from that seems to play out without any issues.

Restored content during "The Final Trial" quest: Restored an objective to find Lambert's boat by listening to its sail flapping. Restored conversation between Lambert and Geralt while they search for the boat. Restored conversation between Lambert and Geralt if Geralt swam to the Old Speartip's cave instead of taking the boat with Lambert.

Reason: The sequence is cut on purpose, probably for pacing reasons. You have to look directly at the sound clue while in Witcher Senses to trigger the objective update. Also for the swimming comment to activate, there is quite a narrow zone where Geralt has to swim through not far from the cave where lake flows into a small inlet.

Restored alternate start of the game - Geralt can examine various items in the room where Vesemir is sleeping. The cutscene will not play automatically while Geralt is walking down the stairs, instead the game will continue when the player interacts with sleeping Vesemir.
Reason: The sequence is cut on purpose, probably for pacing reasons. Besides that everything plays perfectly fine.

Restored 2 sequences during Kaer Morhen battle forest phase. Can lure sleeping arachas towards one of the Wild Hunt groups and let loose crossbow traps in the old Gauntlet on another group of Wild Hunt. Both sequences come with new journal objectives and gameplay dialogues between Geralt and Lambert. Also a body of a dead wolf can be examined near the arachas' cave.
Reason: The sequences are cut on purpose and were in a very bad shape when we found them. We fixed them as much as we could, but they're not up to the standard to be included in the main bundle. The sequences can bug out if you activate them too late or have already cleared out the corresponding group of Wild Hunt. A manual save is recommended right before the battle, in case you need to re-play the forest phase.


Restored the candle puzzle in Hendrik's basement during "The Nilfgaardian Connection" quest.
Reason: The puzzle was cut on purpose, probably for pacing reasons and to not block the player's progression with a puzzle on the main quest path. The puzzle itself is fully implemented and works well. To solve it you have to turn the candlestick in the correct direction 4 times. Clues as to to the order you can find among Hendrik's notes in the nearby chest.

Restored Dudu's wine puzzle in Margrave Henckel's during "Count Reuven's Treasure" quest.
Reason: The puzzle was cut on purpose, probably for pacing reasons and to not block the player's progression with a puzzle on the main quest path. The puzzle was found in a very sorry state and was fully fixed. To solve it you have to place the wine bottle in the wine rack marked with Ciri's birthyear. There are altogether 15 slots and you can find clues as to Ciri's birthyear in the character journal.

Restored dialogue with Gert Borel during "Hazardous Goods" quest.
Reason: The dialogue was cut on purpose as it was related to the cut plague questline. It starts with Geralt referencing something that didn't exactly happen, the rest of the dialogue fits even in the current context.

Restored 4 sections of dialogue with Cerys after getting her out of the haunted house during "Possession" quest.
Reason: Dialogue is definitely cut on purpose and has an abrupt transition in the place where restored sequence merges with vanilla. But it gives some nice backstory and Geralt can ask Cerys some questions about Hjort, which all fit in the current context.



Download the archive, extract the files.
Copy modBrothersInArms folder to your The Witcher 3\mods folder.
Copy dlcBrothersInArms folder to your The Witcher 3\dlc folder.
Check for conflicts with Script Merger. Merge if necessary.
Both folders are required for the mod to function properly.


Delete modBrothersInArms from your The Witcher 3\mods folder.
Delete dlcBrothersInArms from your The Witcher 3\dlc folder.
Run Script Merger to fix merged scripts (if any).
