-- ARANEA IENITH --
Perks Added: Light Foot
Level Cap: Raised from 30 to 50
New Outfit: Temple Priest Robes & Boots
NOTES: The default hooded robes just didn't do her justice. It's a simple yet lore-friendly change that I feel is fit for the Priestess of Azura.
-- ATHIS --
Perks Added: Light Foot, Bladesman (Tier 1), Shield Wall (Tier 2), Agile Defender (Tier 2)
Level Cap: Raised from 25 to 50
NOTES: Athis is the self-proclaimed future leader of the Companions, but his combat skills were disappointing at best. I've given him a few perks to help round out his lackluster kit along with a new look inspired by the Ashlanders.
-- BELEVAL --
Perks Added: Light Foot, Overdraw (Tier 1), Hack & Slash (Tier 1), Agile Defender (Tier 2)
Level Cap: Raised from 25 to 50
New Class: Ranger (Archery, One-Handed, Block, Light Armor, Sneak)
New Outfit: Dawnguard Light Armor
NOTES: Beleval is the only female Bosmer that can follow you in the base game, but her Bandit class & max level of 25 were very underwhelming. I've made her into a Ranger & swapped out her default heavy armor for a light set instead.
-- BRELYNA MARYON --
Perks Added: Light Foot
Level Cap: Raised from 30 to 50
New Class: Conjurer (Conjuration, Restoration, Destruction, Alteration, Sneak)
NOTES: In the base game, Brelyna is a Mystic & her stats favor Illusion, even though she has no Illusion spells. I've moved her to the Conjurer class because the skill spread compliments her known spells & the reason she came to Winterhold in the first place was to study Conjuration.
-- ERANDUR --
Spells Added: Healing, Healing Hands, Fast Healing, Heal Other
Perks Added: Light Foot, Recovery (Tier 1), Regeneration, Necromage, Augmented Flames (Tier 1), Magic Resistance (Tier 1), Bone Breaker (Tier 1)
New Class: Cleric (Restoration, Destruction, One-Handed, Light Armor, Heavy Armor)
NOTES: In the base game, Erandur's reputation as a healer isn't reflected in his skills or combat style. I've added several restorative spells to his repertoire & custom, script-free AI that allows him to heal you. His stats have also been fixed so that his magicka will improve as he levels rather than staying at 50 for the whole game.
-- FAENDAL --
Perks Added: Stealth (Tier 1), Light Foot, Critical Shot (Tier 1), Bullseye
Level Cap: Raised from 30 to 50
NOTES: Faendal's new visuals make him more in line with the Bosmer from ESO - i.e., antlers & less pointed features. He now uses a stand-alone complexion & his horns have been spruced up a bit with new textures.
-- JENASSA --
Perks Added: Stealth (Tier 1), Light Foot, Critical Shot (Tier 1), Dual Flurry (Tier 1), Snakeblood
Level Cap: Raised from 40 to 50
New Outfit: Jenassa's Outfit (Leveled Armor & Weapons)
NOTES: The new perks give her more of an edge in combat, allowing her to keep up with you in the late game without being too overpowered. I've also given her the personal outfit left unused by the base game, providing her with gear that suits the player's level when you first meet up with her.
-- RALIS SEDARYS --
NOTES: Ralis is already capable of dealing massive amounts of melee damage, can dual wield, and his perks are stacked! As such, he only gets a visual upgrade which, in my opinion, was sorely needed. His unique scars are a callback to Morrowind & Dunmeri culture.
-- TALVAS FATHRYON --
Level Cap: Raised from 25 to 50
NOTES: Talvas has custom normal maps for his Dunmeri scars that were made using Tempered Skins as a base. You might experience a slight neck seam if you're using a different body mod, though it shouldn't be an issue with most armors.
-- TELDRYN SERO --
NOTES: Teldryn's combat skills were already pretty impressive so he only gets a visual change & nothing more. Like Ralis/Talvas, he also has custom scars.
There are no hard requirements to run this mod, but if you'd like your followers to look exactly like the screenshots, I highly recommend Tempered Skins (
. USSEP changes have been forwarded, but the patch itself isn't necessary if you don't want to run it for some reason.
It should go without saying, but this mod is generally incompatible with other mods that edit the same NPCs. Most issues can be resolved via proper load order, but some problems may require a different solution. For more information, click the spoiler tag below.

Q: "I have the gray/dark face bug!"
A: If you have an issue with dark faces, it's most likely a conflict in your load order. To be safe, place my mod below any others that affect NPC visuals or follower functionality like EFF or ATF, etc.
Q: "Why didn't my follower's skill levels change to reflect their new class?"
A: You shouldn't run into this issue if you've started a new game. However, if you've installed during the middle of a save where you've already met/recruited them, you'll have to reset their levels to force the change. Select the follower in the console & type in the following lines one after the other:
setlevel 1000 0 1 1
setlevel 1000 0 1 50
That should update their skills to the proper value.
Q: "Aranea isn't wearing the robes you gave her."
A: If you're experiencing this issue after installation, simply wait 24 hours in another cell so the game can reset her outfit. Certain mods like Armor & Clothing Extension will override her robes as well so just be aware of that.
Q: "Athis has a big ol' gap in his neck!"
A: I changed his weight in the CK, but you still might see a visible gap if you've installed this mod mid-game. Select Athis in the console & type in the following lines one after the other.
setnpcweight 30
disable
enable
That should permanently resolve any visual glitches for Athis.
Q: "Can you make a patch for [Insert Mod Name Here]?"
A: I've included a patch for Immersive Fort Dawnguard because it affects Beleval's AI packages & outfit, but I don't currently have any other plans to provide patches for mods I don't use in my own game due to the effort & tediousness involved. However, feel free to ask anyway & I might oblige if it's a simple enough fix. You're also more than welcome to create your own patch for this mod & publish it as a standalone mod or request that I host it here, just know that I may not be able to provide further support for said patch.
Q: "Any plans to make over other followers?"
A: Eventually, though I work full-time and I'm also a perfectionist when it comes to creating characters so they might be few & far between. I do have "Marvelous Mage Followers" on the drawing board, which would include several of Skyrim's magically inclined fellows.
