Paradigm - A Quick Start Overhaul

Paradigm seeks to accomplish two goals: First, it is a quick start mod, allowing you to start your game without having to go through the vanilla starting quest. You will begin the game outside the Helgen Cave exit after creating your character. This brings us to the second goal: introducing a lightweight class system to Skyrim.

Unlike other class mods which add experience multipliers, extra abilities, new perks, etc., Paradigm is designed to provide a minimalist and seamless class system. Upon creating your character, you will be prompted to choose from a list of over 20 different classes. The class you choose will determine your starting weapons, armor, spells, items, and gold.

Included in Ro - A Graphics-Focused Modlist.

The provided classes are inspired by classic Elder Scrolls archetypes and include the following:

Requirements

The mod includes two separate plugins. The first plugin works for vanilla, Mysticism, and Odin, as well as any other mod that edits the vanilla spells themselves. The second plugin requires Mysticism, Abyss, Arcane, Arclight, Bloodmoon, Desecration, Flames of Coldharbour, LunarisNatura, Necrom, Stellaris, and Vulcano, and integrates spells from these mods into the archetypes.

Patches

Compatibility

Paradigm is incompatible with other alternate start mods.

Paradigm is compatible with At Your Own Pace. Additionally, it is most likely compatible with other class mods. If you'd like to add to your starting class, try the Humble Beginnings addon.

Paradigm is compatible with magic and spell overhauls. Mysticism by SimonMagus and Odin by EnaiSiaion work out of the box, and an additional Paradigm - Extended plugin is provided which adds new Mysticism spells to the classes and incorporates Darenii's spell packs.

Confirmed working with v1.5.97. v1.6+, and VR.

Planned Future Content

Any further spell packs made by the above authors may be supported.
