About this mod

Adds some perks, you know?

Requirements
Permissions and credits

v1.2
- no new game required
- changed Roast Roast perk conditions to make it working on Big Guns too

v1.1
- no new game required
- no more need for xNVSE and ShowOff xNVSE Plugin
- new effect for Samurai 4th rank, replaced old one because of Wrye Bash error
- replaced some perk conditions to run on weapons instead of the perk owner
-> ingame difference: in pipboy menu shown damage of weapons doesn't change anymore during weapon equip but is already applied before doing so

When you are unsure if perks actually apply just remove the perk from the player via console (player.removeperk [PerkID]) and check the changed weapon damage in the pipboy menu. You can find the [PerkID] ingame by typing 'search' and a part of the perks name in the console.

v1.0 initial release

This mod combines my other perk mods Samurai, The Mountain and Mobster together and contains more perks (see below). (in v1.0 and v1.1 only one more)

This mod's perks only work with vanilla weapons and Power Armors from Fallout: New Vegas and its DLCs. If one wants any mod-added stuff to be affected by my perks, one must create a compatibility patch. Same goes for TTW.
One possible way to make a compatibility patch is by following the pictorial guide at the end of this page (as an example for another mod).

A patch for the Shock Knuckles from Tammer's Weapon Pack is added under optional files.
A patch for the Kingmaker Power Armor and the Startrooper (Power) Armor from Tammer's Armor Pack is added under optional files.
A patch for Caesars New Regime, which converts the Legate's Armor to a Power Armor, can be downloaded under optional files.

Samurai - Katana Perk
Req. Level 10, AGI 8, Melee 90
You are a master with the Katana. 1st rank gives 30% bonus to critical damage and 15% attack speed bonus. 2nd rank increases crit.hit chance by 10%. 3rd rank ignores 5 DT of the target and increases crit. hit chance by 10% (+20% in sum) and crit. damage by 20% (+50% in sum). 4th rank gives +20% damage.
Works with Katana from GRA only! No other weapons are affected by this perk.

Mobster - Knuckles Perk
Req. Level 3, Unarmed 50
When fighting with knuckles, spiked knuckles or Love & Hate you gain:
20% increased damage and critical damage (1st rank) and 10% knockdown chance (2nd rank).
You know where it hurts (+20% increased critical hit chance, 3rd rank) and
your lust as well as the adrenaline kick give you a drive (30% increased AP regen in battle, 3rd rank).
As a master with the knuckles you gain another 20% damage, critical damage and 10% attack speed (4th rank).

A patch for the Shock Knuckles from Tammer's Weapon Pack is added under optional files.

The Mountain - Power Armor Perk
Req. Level 8
While wearing Power Armor you gain with each rank +1 Strength, +7 DR, +2 DT, -10% limb damage, +10% melee and unarmed damage, +10% Fire, Rad and Energy resistance and -10% weapon spread (1st rank only). In sum +3 STR, +21 DR, +6 DT, -30% limb damage, +30% Fire, Rad and Energy resistance, -10% gun spread and +30% unarmed and melee damage.

A patch for Tammer's Armor Pack (Kingmaker Power Armor and the Startrooper (Power) Armor ) can be downloaded under optional files.
A patch for Caesars New Regime, which converts the Legate's Armor to a Power Armor, can be downloaded under optional files.

Roast Roast - Flamer Perk
Req. Energy Weapons 60
With each rank you gain +25% damage bonus with firebased energy weapons. (4 ranks)
-> If you use a mod, which moves flamer-like weapons from the Energy Weapons skill to the Big Guns skill, this perk will not affect them anymore! Definitely only works on Energy Weapons. -> since v1.2 it should also work on Big Guns, if they are in the Pyromaniac Form List.

GunRunnersArsenal
Lonesome Road

since v1.1
xNVSE and ShowOff xNVSE Plugin are no longer needed.

Drop the .esp in the Data folder of your New Vegas folder. Check the .esp in your Mod Manager / Game Launcher before starting the game.
Can be installed mid-game, no new game necessary.

Just replace old esp file with new one. No new game required.

Delete the .esp from you data-folder.
It is not recommended to uninstall any mod mid game. There are ways to do so, but search the internet for it. An easy way is to replace the desired .esp in your data folder by an empty .esp with the same name. But I am not sure, how New Vegas will react to this. Especially if you already took the perks ingame.

None known so far. Please report them in the comments.

I recommend you to use a bug fixing mod like YUP and/or Ultimate Unarmed and Melee Perks Tweaks, otherwise you don't have all firebased weapons in the Pyromaniac Form List, which is also used by the perk Roast Roast, or the knockdown effects from Mobster perk may not work as intended, since the vanilla Super Slam perk was not created with the optimal function. YUP fixes both of these issues.

If you use a mod, which moves Flamer-like weapons from the Energy Weapons skill to the Big Guns skill, the Roast Roast perk will not affect them anymore! Roast Roast definitely works on Energy Weapons only. -> since v1.2 Big Guns should be affected as well by the perk, as long as they are in the Pyromaniac Form List.

None. No interfering scripts, no edited vanilla records, no incompatibilities.

These mods perks only work with vanilla weapons and Power Armors from Fallout: New Vegas and its DLCs. If one wants any mod-added stuff to be affected by my perks, one must create a compatibility patch. Same goes for TTW.
Exception: Roast Roast - Flamer Perk uses vanilla Pyromaniac Form List, which means any mod, that adds its weapons into the same list (like AWOP does for example), will be compatible without the need of any further patches. -> No compatibility patch is needed for AWOP.
One possible way to make a compatibility patch is following the pictorial guide at the end of this page (as an example for a different mod).

Compatibility patches always must be loaded after the mods (=placed below them in the load order), which they should create compatibility for.

Until now I've created 3 compatibility patches for
Tammer's NIF-Bashed Weapons Mega-Pack
Tammer's NIF-Bashed Armor Mega-Pack and
Caesars New Regime.
Tammers Weapons add Shock Knuckles. I've added them in the Form List of the Mobster Perk.
Tammers Armors adds 2 Power Armors (Kingmaker and Startrooper). I've added them in the Form List of the the perk The Mountain.
CNR converts the Legate's Armor to a Power Armor, so I've included it in the Form List of the perk The Mountain.

You are allowed to edit and reupload this mod anywhere, create patches, ... whatever stuff, just mention the original source (this site here) when
you do so. Other thoughts and ideas are ofc welcome in the comments. Just don't expect me to do anything from it. Comment sections are really
nice to gather informations and ideas, also for the readers, who may create a mod in the future. Doesn't mean I will implement stuff.

Q: TTW support?
A: I don't have TTW. If one wants to have other mods stuff working with my perks, one must create a compatibility patch.

Q: Patch for AWOP needed?
A: No. Because AWOP integrates its fire-based weapons into the Pyromaniac Form List, which is also used by the Roast Roast perk. And afaik it doesn't add any new Power Armors, which the Player can use.

Q: So you finally created a combined plugin. Why you didn't do so from beginning on?
A: Because ideas keep coming, you know? And I didn't know how many they will be. Plus this is my first combined plugin ever. Maybe I wanted to avoid doing something for the first time to avoid failure.

Q: Why you give me every time such a slippy, weirdoed feeling? Do you have any issues?
A: Ever heard about 'slippin Jimmy'? My ingame level-up sound is the title melody from Better Call Saul*. I like Ranger Josey's profane, swearing language and now get your hands out of my pants, dude. If I wanna get masturbated, I do it myself.

Q: ... Dude? Wtf?
A: Download, endorse, comment or get lost.

*If someone wants to use any soundtracks, which are not allowed to be uploaded on the Nexus due to copyright, and replace the ingame level-up drum sound, I posted here an instruction how this can be done.
