This is a complete LORE FRIENDLY Weather and Climate Overhaul for Fallout 4! It will add more than 75 new Weathers with over 110 new cloudtextures to the Fallout 4 World for you to experience. It also improves the general Image quality by adding new LUT and Imagespaces to the game as well as a Player home and base to complete the Lore!
Requirements
This mod does not have any known dependencies other than the base game.
- lowering the extenden rain sound volume. (all other volumes are vanilla)
- Fixed the fog weathers as they where to inconsitent in their gradients. - fixed missing Rain sounds cus the internal path was wrong foor some reason
Version 2.22
Oh boy more packing problems... this sure isnt my day ! Snow textures are back now!
Version 2.21
Again creationkit messed up and didnt packed the clouds and the LUT! it just doesnt do it and wont throw an error, now i finally fixed it! YAAY....
Version 2.2
Super Facepalm fix!
As it turns out all the years there was a crucial file missing that was not added by the Creationkit when packing up this mod as Archive (the LUT file).
With this file missing you sure was no able to experience all those years the intended vibrancy and colors of this mod! My face is now swollen from all the Facepalms...
To all ENB authors: a Quick check of your enb might be needed if the Vibrarcy and brightness is still in line of what you had intended.
Version 2.1
With this update i went into the complains of alot people that it Rains too much on the default Climate. So i reduced the Rain chances for each Region by half and mixed the different Rain weathers trhoughout the regions. Also a bug was fixed for Rain sounds still hearable in the menus as well as some Language strings that where in German.
In Far Harbour i went a bit more easy now with the fog weathers, especially with the heavy fogs but i still stay true to the vanilla Climate that expects this region to be mostly misty and foggy becaus of Lore reasons.
Version 2.011
Ok foolks, i chocked the Creationkit now with my bare hands cus it again did not include script files but different ones now. so now hopefully the Nightbirghtness options will work.
Version 2.01
fixed a bug where changing night brightness did not work becasue of a missing file
Version 2.00
This is a Really Large Update for Vivid Weathers thats why i decided to make a Versionbump to 2.0
New:
Holotape
--------------
You can forge now a Vivid Weathers Holotape on andy Chemical Workbench! It controlls all weathers in a lore friendly Way.
It also controls Visual effects like, Saturation, Nightbrightness, Daybrightness, contrast and so on.
It comes with Visual Presets for you ready to use wich wil be expanded also later on on demand.
Questmod and Playerhome / Settlement
--------------------------------------------------------------
Vivid Weathers now Adds a own Questmod wich also will be expanded over time. It adds a new location north of Sanctuary - The Global Weahter Control System.
Here you can find a Home for you, a Settlement, LOOT and the most important The backstory why you actually can controll the weathers since you are no god afterall.
This is a aim to make this Weathermod Lorefriendly and fillign a gap i always felt was odd.
Since the settlement is on the outer border Please ignore the message that you cannot go further, i wanted to choose a spot not being used by many mods.
Changes:
Dramaticly overhauled the Silent hill weather. It now supports occluding snow! It is a very calm and foggy weather now but also really spooky. Try to force it via the holotape ;)
Overhauled the Winter season to be more Wintery.
Overhauled the Far harbour patch to make it more lore friendly.
Generally tryd to overhaul some weathers.
No more loose Files - all textures and assets are now packed together. That means no more Pink skys, fastler loading time and smaller modsize.
Tons of more stuff i already forgot :) Mostly also fixing black goo effects on fog weathers in some circumstances
Version 1.39
Fixes black goo effect on fog weathers on evenings and mornings
Fixes several user reported bugs
Maybe i found a way to get rid of the super long weathers being stuck
Version 1.35
- Overhauled the Weather Chances. That hopefully shall fix the long rain periods. Please notice that changeing your timescale still also messes with weather lenghts.
You are also now experience foggy weathers on the Coastal region more often.
Version 1.32
- updated Vivid Waters (greatly improved the water structures and visibility for all fallout 4 water surfaces)
- renamed Vivid Waters - VW.esp to Vivid Waters.esp
- did some Region improvement to hopefully get rid of the problem that a weather gets stuck for too long. (wont fix the timescale bug, that exist already since skyrim)
Version 1.30
- Added support for Nuka world
- Changed general Weather chance to be 28% more good weathers at default experience cus there where still too much reports that it rains too often.
Version 1.25
- added Volume Sliders for Rain and Thunder Sounds (Thanks to mm137 for his help about this!)
- removed Snow weathers (exept the silent hill surprise weather) from the default Vivid Weather experience due to high user demand. Now snow only appears in the autumn, spring and ofcourse Winter Season plugins.
Version 1.20
- Added Vivid Waters 1.0 - a replacement for all Groundwater textures and settings so oceans, lakes aso. look more watery like. This also will get rid of the ugly blue shining water.
- Lowered the chances for rain and snow when no season is enabled
- risen up the weather change rate to default vanilla. I strongly suggest to play your game with a normal timescale otherwise it might still be happening that you are trapped in a weather for days.
Version 1.11
- fixed a packaging bug wich lead to install a old version! please reinstall if you downloaded 1.10
Version 1.10
- Fineadjustmes of sundamage, wind direction, windspeed.
- lowered transdelta (time for a weather to fully kick in) to rule out bugs with lower timescales (needs more testing)
This hopefully should be the laqst bugfix and bug worksaround release , next time more weathers ;)
Version 1.091
- fixed some fog weathers near fog in the early sunrise. Somhow fo4edit decided to screw up some values -_-
Version 1.09
- Brightend up the shadows during daytime for clear and cloudy weathers
- lowered weather change rate by half
- added internal preparations for further updates (holotape controll)
Version 1.08
Fixed a small bug where the perks for the weathers where selectable from the perklist wich, ofcourse, should not happen
Version 1.07
- modified lite and med rain particles to be more visible
- added Spell and Perk modifiers to Heavy Fog /Rain / Storm weathers that affects NPC'S to detect you:
Heavy fog & Snow Weathers :
Sneaking visibility decreased by 80%
Heavy Rain and Thunder Weathers
Walking noise decreased by 80% (sneaking visibility stays the same)
Radstorms
Sneaking visibility decreased by 80% , Walking noise decreased by 80%
- generally lowered the abilities to npc's to detect you at night
- Hopefully fixed the no radiation bug with radstorms (they will give radioation on thinderstrike)
- added special weathers that affects you radiation wise only in the Glowing Sea
Version 1.05
- Added a new brightness option - Natural Bright for more lit shadows, less contrast, brighter nights
- Fixed radstorms not giving rad damage
- rised changes for having more good weathers than bad weathers
- alot of small fixed here and there
Version 1.03
- Finally fixed all happenings of the Oilg Glitch bug on faces and armors... hopefully ;)
- packed everything together for Fomod installs
- made groundfogs optional for lowend users
- made rainsounds optional
Version 1.02
- finally found the reson for the oil shaped happening and too dark nights. Dixed this hopefully now for good. a resoult is also that the super dark and black shadows are gone and the day night cycle is smooth again.
- adjusted some weathers and nights for their intensity and scaryness
- fixed some small bugs in some numbers - mostly fog releated
Version 1.01
Fixes black stipes all over the people casued by soms trange ambient color - fog bug on a very specific time only

IMPORTANT
- DO NOT use a different Timescale than the vanilla one. Different Timescales always
fuck up the weather system. The FO4 engine is way more picky in that case than all
of the other engines and you will be stuck with Rain or snow for days!
- BE AWARE that the Fallout4 Engine is also even more fuckery when it comes to savegames.
You will certainly destroy your savegame when removing any larger mod and this is a large mod!
-> Vivid Weathers is (obviously) not compatible with any Weather overaul Like Truestorms,
and other mods that alters Weather / Climate or Region or Color LUT changes (ECC aso..)!
-> Darker nights got a patch available from the Author
-> Far Harbors needs a Compatibility patch wich is available as plugin in the installer
1.install it with your favorite Mod manager and you are good to go

Holotape: Use Any Chemical Workshop to generate the Holotape for controllign weathers and visuals.
Future Plans
- anything you come up with
Bugs & Problem that may occur
Heavy Snow weathers can experiece some snow flickering , i assume this is a engine problem.
Snow clips throug Buildings: Yes thats a engine limitation, Beth just enabled clipping of Rain
Purple clouds / particles = Textures are missing! Check your install
Strange broken clouds in the sky = You got a weather that does not support the 30 Layer clouds i introduced.
Most likley from a other mod or hard forced by a script.
Special Thanks Matt - for donating me Far Harbor so i could make a patch! Sammi for providing moral support and backstory of mr Drumpf mm137 for making the sound sliders for rain and thunder
