NCW - New Cinematic Wasteland  is a rework of my Phoenix Cinematic without the Reshade part, only ENB. It will give you quality visuals without too heavy impact on performance. This mod contains 11 color palettes (Default + 10 styles) that can be changed ingame (See Optional Adjustments bellow)  with grim and dramatic atmosphere tendencies , built to suit the apocalyptic environment of Fallout 4.

- REQUIREMENTS:

 WEATHERS MODS: NCW ENB is avaiable for  Natural and Atmospheric Commonwealth (NAC) , NAC X - Legacy Edition  and for  Vivid Weathers FO4 Edition . You need to install one of them (ONLY ONE) for this preset to look as intended. IMPORTANT: For the old NAC, the Weathers option need to be enabled; for NAC X - Legacy Edition the patch for ENB need to be enabled in the ingame settings for the mod. And for Vivid Weathers, you need to select "Default" option in Visual changes section during Vivid Weathers installation by mod manager, and I would suggest to set "No Season Limitation" for the seasons options, unless you really want a specific season. Highly recommended to use the Depth of Field (DoF) Removal mod to disable  ingame DOF (because it may not work fine with my ENB DOF).

*WARNING: Fallout 4 Enhanced Color Correction mod is NOT RECOMMENDED to be used with this preset. It will break the colors and contrast balance. If you are using it and want to use NCW I highly suggest you to uninstall it. For a better  Institute lighting you should also install the Institute Patch from PRC miscellaneous files.

- INSTALLATION STEPS:

1- In the game launcher disable Ambient Occlusion (ENB already has it), and I recommend to use TAA for anti-aliasing method. WARNING: If you are AMD card user and have the "black and white screen" issue (see here) after installation, you have 2 choices to fix it: 1- Re-enable the Ambient Occlusion (and probably get some FPS loss) or 2- Disable the Wetness effect in launcher advanced options. At this moment is unknown to me if NVIDIA users can have this problem.

2- For NVIDIA Users:  If you are using HDMI conection, Its VERY IMPORTANT to set your Dynamic Range in full, in the graphics card control panel (see this image).
For AMD Users:  open AMD control panel, click on Gaming tab > Games > Global Graphics > Display > Pixel Format  and set to: RGB 4:4:4 Pixel Format PC Standard (Full RGB).

4- Download the latest ENBseries  from: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_fallout4.htm
, open it and extract ONLY the files d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll from wrapper version folder to your Fallout 4 main folder;

5- Download NCW ENB from files tab of this Nexus page (pick the version for your weather mod), open it  and extract the content to your Fallout 4 folder;

RUN THE GAME, ENJOY AND PLEASE CLICK ON "ENDORSE" IF YOU LIKE THE PRESET!

- OPTIONAL ADJUSTMENTS:

1-  enblocal.ini [Memory] settings: Its  recommended that you configure the line VideoMemorySizeMB in enblocal.ini file (that is inside Fallout 4 folder). This video can help to find the best value for your system.

2- Changing the Cinematic Styles: You can change the color palette at any time ingame. Shift + Enter to open ENB menu, expand the ENBEFFECT.FX on the right window and choose your style on TECHNIQUE options. If you want to keep a certain style, click on SAVE CONFIGURATION, in the left window.

3- Letterbox Effect: This effect is enabled by default. You can disable it in ENB ingame menu (shift + Enter) in ENBEFFECTPOSTPASS.FX (see here). Click on SAVE CONFIGURATION after the change. You can also disable Vignette and Grain in this same section of the menu, if you don't like these effects.

- UNINSTALL:

In the Fallout 4 folder, delete: enbseries folder ; d3d11.dll ; d3dcompiler_46e.dll ; enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini .

- UPDATES:

 IMPORTANT: Before update to a new version of this preset please uninstall the previous one!

- RECOMMENDED MODS (in installation order) :

- Langleys HD Textures Workshop
- High Resolution Texture Pack 2K and 4K - Valius

- Diamond City HD
-
Fallout 4 Ultimate Window Overhaul
- Vivid Fallout - Landscapes
- Vivid Fallout - Roads and Bridges
- Natural Landscapes (ONLY the optional Natural Rock textures)
- Springtime Trees
- Grasslands
- Wasteland Water Revival (Clearly Visible option)
- Real Water HD (parallax option)

- PERFORMANCE:

My specs : Intel i5 4690 3,5-3,9 Ghz ; GTX 1070  8gb VRAM and 16 gb RAM . I'm running the game + this preset with 60 FPS in about 80% of gameplay time (1920 x 1080 resolution) . But Fallout 4 has drops in some places even without ENB . Consider reducing godrays , shadow distance and quality if you need more FPS. You also can reduce your grass density increasing the value of iMinGrassSize=** Fallout4.ini file. In Graphics card control panel some settings can also increase performance. If after these settings you still need more FPS you can disable ENB DOF and/or SSAO in ENB menu (shift + Enter).
