Own a Mac and need a way to install this mod? Try this to help:
http://www.winehq.org/about/

If you own AVG Antivirus, please read this:

AVG Antivirus will make a false positive on Dragon Age Redesigned. This is a problem with AVG Antivirus and not with Dragon Age Redesigned.

http://www.nirsoft.net/false_positive_report.html

If any other Antivirus program is used, it will detect no problems with Dragon Age Redesigned.

SECTION I: REQUIREMENTS:

The AESTHETICS and RECOMMENDED version require this mod below.

The LORE version requires no additional mods:

Click on the image below to get the required mod.

Companions have unique requirements so be sure to view the images in the companions folder to get the requirements for that.

This mod will redesign the WHOLE of the NPCs in Dragon Age to fix skin issues, face proportions, personality mismatches, gender identification, race identification, etc. in an attempt to make each character fit better with the the lore of Dragon Age.

This mod makes changes to the NPCs within Dragon Age Origins and it's expansions and DLCs. Many of these were done from scratch as no source files are provided for DLCs and/or expansions and I used the Dragon Age Toolset to replicate and make adjustments to Bioware's original renditions.

DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS
DRAGON AGE: AWAKENING
DRAGON AGE: LELIANA'S SONG
DRAGON AGE: WARDEN'S KEEP
DRAGON AGE: RETURN TO OSTAGAR

Because this project encompasses nearly 1241+ NPCs (within the three versions I have made between Lore, Aesthetics and Recommended), not all images are displayed. I apologize for the inconvenience. Changes are primarily seen in-game.

SECTION III: LEGAL ISSUES

This mod is meant for your own personal use. You are free to do whatever you wish to do with the mod as long as it is for yourself. Please don't put this mod in your own mod. Rather, just send them a direct link to this site on Dragon Age Nexus. It's not that hard to do but it really helps modders all over.

I know that it may seem like I'm being possessive over this mod, but it's such a small request and it's what keeps me working on this mod for you. I worked really hard to make this and there's nothing more demotivating when people take my work and alter it and steal it.

The more that people are willing to help, the more motivation I get to make more of these mods for you. :P

SECTION IV: NOT HAPPY WITH A DESIGN?

Not happy with a design? Please don't hold it to yourself. Let me know.

If I agree with you and I agree with your reasoning behind why the change should be made, you will see the changes here. Please be specific with what you would like changed.

SECTION V: RECOMMENDATION

It isn't recommended to use this mod on your first time playing the game. Bioware placed a lot of time into the character designs and you may miss out on nuances and other features that the original game may have.

Many veteran players of Dragon Age recommend that you should not use many (if any) mods if you haven't yet played the game through at least ONE time.

You can always replay later with mods installed, and you'll be better able to recognize what the mods added to the game.

In a nutshell, this mod is best used AFTER your first time playing through Dragon Age.

Installing Dracomies True Textures

1. Double-click the folder called "Dragon Age Redesigned Version ______"
2. Double click Dragon Age Age Redesigned
3. Double-click Dragon Age Origins
4. Double-click Noncompanions
5. Double-click Dragon Age Redesigned Version ___.exe
6. Click Next
7. Choose the bubble called "Dracomies True textures"

If you have a copy of Windows Vista or Windows 7, make the files go to your override folder. Whenever you have installed mods in the past, they go in a particular override folder. Make the installer point the files to that exact folder. In the case with Windows Vista and Windows 7, it may point it to "Documents" but the installer is pointing to "My Documents" so have it go to your override folder where you have been installing mods in the past. Let it go to the same folder.

Installing changes for noncompanions

Please keep in mind that installing the Noncompanions require prior installation of Dracomies Textures

Do steps 1 through 6 as above.

Choose between Recommended, Aesthetics and Enhanced Lore.

Installing changes for companions

When installing the changes to companions, please keep in mind that they will require prior installation of Dracomies True Textures. The instructions on how to do so are listed above. Also with regards to companions, please refer to the images as some companion designs require other resources and mods which are separate from this mod. This mod does not change companions until you instruct it to do so. In other words, if you want to install a new face for Zevran, you would need to physically open up the Zevran folder. I made the mod this way as I wanted to give flexibility for those who have particular designs that they use for companion designs

Here are the instructions on installing companions:

Do steps 1 through 3
Choose Companion NPCs folder
Then choose a companion and install the associated version.
There's a different version per character..ie there are 7 versions of Morrigan to choose from.

For a visual explanation of the steps above, be sure to read the included PDF manual which is included with Dragon Age Redesigned.

If you wish to uninstall, you can do so through the override menu.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!

If you will uninstall, follow these directions. Just simply run the uninstaller from your

My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

After you have completed the uninstall, be sure to delete the uninstaller.

SECTION VII: UNINSTALLATION

The uninstall process is very simple. Simply locate the uninstaller on your:

My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

When you click uninstall, all character designs will be removed.

If you will uninstall, be sure to REMOVE the "Uninstaller" from the override AFTER you have uninstalled the files.

This will remove all of the designs and make a CLEAN uninstall.

SECTION VIII: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WILL THERE BE A MANUAL VERSION OF THIS MOD?

There will be no manual version. This method was chosen for many reasons. Without it, I would have no incentive to continue working on this project.

That being said, I am still willing to help. If you are not happy with a particular design, let me know and give me a chance to fix it for you.

2. My characters have really clear eyes. The entire skin seems very, very shiny.

Verify that you have installed Dracomies Textures. Directions on installation are located in the PDF and the installation section.
