We are the People of the Root, called 'Argonians' by the warmbloods. We go where we will, wet or dry, and the currents of blood magic run swift in our veins.
The Saxhleel are a diverse group, with tribes' appearances varying due to the will - or gloor- of their Hist tree. Scales, head shapes, and even tails may vary between them. Some have feathers, fins, horns, spikes, or a combo adorning their heads and tails. They range from the colorful Bright Throats, to the mysterious Naga, to the feathered Sarpa and even some that look practically humanoid.
In this mod, you will find highly customized Argonians with new 'hairs' based on other games in the series as well as a variety of textures (eyes, feathers, and even body scales) and other unique details like custom tails and even tongue color variations. My goal was to make Argonians more colorful and representative of the tribal variety suggested by the lore.

Rather than use too many resources on unnamed enemies and dead NPCs (or risk making them look too unique and stand out too much), they've all been regenerated in the Creation Kit using High Poly Heads, Better Argonian Horns, and various HQ facetint replacers. They will use your default Argonian textures for maximum compatibility.
Some Argonians use custom textures. The textures included are for Vanilla bodies, and their are texture replacer resources for CBBE, UNP, and SoS in the Misc files. They may need more setup, but I don't use any of those mods so they're just a modder's resource for anyone who wants to make them work or test them out.

- Patching/translation permissions are open, no need to ask me. If you make a patch, leave a link in my comments please! I like linking patches in the description to help users find them easily
- I will not grant permission for this mod to be ported to Xbox, because of the new paid-mod model
- I will not make patches for mods I don't use
- This mod uses a lot of custom sculpting and textures applied directly to meshes (including eye mesh UV edits) and I have removed the headpart meshes so regenerating the faces in any way will break them. I don't know how well this mod will work with EasyNPC and/or Face Discoloration Fix.
- Eyes will sometimes bug out or go wall-eyed. There's nothing I can do about this, the Argonian eye animations are atrocious
- No clothes/armors are included in this mod
- No playable hairs/textures/head parts/etc are added by this mod
- Don't ask me to change or remove NPCs
- No 'farm tools' jokes. I, too, have browsed TES subreddits and it's been done ad nauseam
- I will not release any NPCs as presets - they use too many custom parts
