This mod tells the Civil War to fuck fly off and let you play the main quest. To do this we got a global and added it to some dialogue conditions. Now the civil war "negotiations" will never come up because Balgruuf will be content in his knowledge that Ulfric has not figured out "coc whiterunorigin", and so will be unconcerned about an army marching from Windhelm to besiege him in the 15 minutes it takes to stuff Odahviing into a box. Or maybe he assumes Ulfric is smart enough not to commit PR suicide by attacking the village while its saving the world. Also its flagged as an esl so it won't take up load order slots.


Paarthurnax should still start, since it triggers off of The Fallen instead of Season Unending. I was going to point out that there was the slight downside of this mod making you unable to get an achievement for completing Season Unending, but as it turns out even the devs thought it was nonsense and didn't even make an achievement for it.


If you like the civil war negotiations you could disable the mod by changing the included global from its default value. It should not cause problems, but if you do this and your game somehow becomes a garbage fire then that one is on you.

I have no idea if uninstalling the mod mid play through will break things or not, but as a general rule you should avoid doing that anyways. If you do this and your game somehow becomes a garbage fire then that one is on you.

In general, garbage fires are pretty unlikely. The mod has worked in all of my testing, with and without other mods active.

Compatibility

This mod adds a global and two additional conditions to parts of Balgruuf's dialogue during The Fallen. Unless you have a mod that changes that all will be well.
