About this mod

Here it is, a compability patch between Seasons of Skyrim and Legacy of the Dragonborn. So far, it mostly consists of a carefully worked out patch for Unfrozen, but more features will come later.

Changelogs
This is the second mod in my series to integrate Seasons of Skyrim with larger mods that expand the playable areas. I would have liked to include all features that I put into my Vigilant mod already in the first version, but pending some core assets, that will still have to wait for a while. Instead, this is featuring a full compability patch between Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen and Legacy of the Dragonborn and Seasons expanded to LotD's custom worldspaces. Noticing that someone else released some attempt of such a patch, but without resolving mod conflicts and leaving a bit to desire overall, I saw the need to finish my already quite far-fleshed work on this. While that modder has now resolved most of the issues, I think you should still stick to mine, especially if you want the future features I plan to add.

Included features
  • Seasons expanded to Pale Pass, Windcaller's Retreat, and Sancre Tor Courtyard.
  • A blacklist for the Dev Aveza, so it does not get covered in snow during winter.
  • A patch for Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen, clearing grass from all major excavation sites during summer, and at roads and buildings/camps in the new worldspaces. It also resolves landscape conflicts between the mods. Patches for Helgen Reborn, Unique Border Gates, SMIM, LOTD - Pale Pass Extension, and the Ice-like glaciers option for Seasonal Landscape Additions are included. The Pale Pass patch is for the Bruma version only.
  • An expansion to the Seasonal Landscapes patch available at its own mod page, replacing the autumn variant of Erikur's house with a version based on LotD's custom mesh. Not needed if getting the patch for Erikur's House at Legacy of The Dragonborn - Museum Exterior Fixes.
  • Seasonal variants for the statue at the museum courtyard. Currently only exists in 4K. Not needed if using the Seasonal Landscapes patch at Blue Palace Terrace Patch Collection.
  • A patch for Seasonal Weathers Framework, making LOTDs regions and worldspaces affected by the seasonal settings.

Planned future features

  • A Seasonal Simplicity of Snow patch. Work is done at the museum, but will require the full mod I am making to not look out of place (since Simplicity of Seasons is a buggy mess that I cannot recommend to anyone in its current condition, I rather hold on to that feature until my successor is finished). Due to the much larger scope of Legacy of the Dragonborn than Vigilant, I am not going to release a temporary solution as I did for that mod. Screenshots are available at the Legacy of the Dragonborn Discord page.
  • A blacklist to remove snow from places that should not have it during winter. Far from finished. Will require the complete blacklist and a framework for circumventing the main form swap that I plan to release with the above mod.
  • Possibly some landscape work to further clear snow from sheltered areas during winter. Have not looked into it yet and might not be needed.
  • LotD is quite compatible with grass mods, so I am not planning to release a patch for Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods within the scope of this mod (but might notify the developers of the few clipping issues I found while investigating).

Compatibility
  • The non-Unfrozen options are compatible with everything.
  • Compatible with anything that does not touch the same cells and compatible with almost anything that does not edit landscape records.
  • The compatibility patches provided cover almost all mod conflicts I am aware of.
  • Not compatible with Seasons of LOTD Worlds. This is a different implementation of the same thing. I am quite sure I have taken more care in addressing landscape issues (especially in the Vanilla worldspaces) and added more compatibility patches, so would recommend you stick to mine.

Load order
I recommend the following load order, but notice that some of the patches on the list completely overwrite each other, so not all of these are needed on a single build:

  • LegacyoftheDragonborn.esm
  • BSHeartland.esm
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen.esp
  • Helgen Reborn.esp
  • DBM_PalePassExtension.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - No grass under the ice.esp
  • Seasons of Bruma Unfrozen.esp
  • Unique Border Gates - Fixes.esp
  • Bruma Unique Border Gates Patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - No ice grass - Helgen Reborn patch.esp (is in fact never needed with this mod, so disable it if you have it)
  • DBM_HelgenReborn_Patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - Bruma - complement.esp
  • Seasonal Landscape Unfrozen - LOTD Patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - Pale Pass Patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - Unique Border Gates patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - LOTD_UBG patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - UBG + Bruma.esp (is in fact never needed with this mod, so disable it if you have it)
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - UBG + Pale Pass patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes Unfrozen - No ice Grass - LotD patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - LotD_Helgen Reborn patch.esp
  • Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen - No ice grass - LotD + Helgen Reborn patch.esp
  • Seasonal Weathers Framework - LOTD.esp
