Optional Gameplay mods

Here you can learn more about the optional mods you can activate for some additional changes to the modlist. No matter which you choose, load order will be optional.

Optional VR Spesific Mods
Choose from a selection of VR mods to enhance your gameplay

  • NavigateVR
Lets you navigate Skyrim a handheld map and compass.
  • MageVR
Popular mod, mostly for the backpack feature and spell gestures.
Not included because: I don't like the background program this mod needs to run. It can get stuck and cause performance issues. VRIK gestures also has a great gesture system.
  • Dual Wield Block VR
Lets the player block attacks while dual wielding. Not included because (NIB): Not needed unless you play as a dual wield champ. I like to keep "things" to a minimum.
  • Weapon Throw VR
Throw melee weapons, including bound weapons. Very powerful.
  • Spellsiphon - Immersive Combat
Very powerful and different way of magic gameplay. Very complex mod, check the mod page or youtube for how to use this.
  • Be Seated Skyrim VR Edition
Primarily 'Be Seated' introduces a 'L.A Noire: VR Case Files' inspired approach to swapping from standing room scale play to seated play when the player uses furniture such as chairs, stools or benches. This allows players to easily use real life furniture when their character uses in game furniture items.
  • Drop On Death - VR
Drop On Death causes NPC's to drop their items on death.
  • Physical Dodge VR
Why use a button press or hot key in VR to dodge your enemies when you can just simply move out of the way? Well now you can!!!
  • Real Virtual Magic
For users who also own a Muse2 device, use your real mental powers to power your Magiska power in SkyrimVR!
  • Swap Drop and Hold
Add some extra VR interactivity by equipping weapons you're holding using HIGGs, dropping weapons you have equipped, or swapping weapons between your left and right hands using spells assigned to VRIK gestures

Optional Gameplay Mods

  • BlockSteal Papyrus
This mod prevents you from accidentaly stealing stuff. With this mod you need to be sneaking to be able to steal things that are placed around in Skyrim.
  • Conduit - Short-term Weapon Infusions
When holding a weapon in one hand and a spell in the other, you are able to temporarily "conduct" the spell through that weapon. Different categories of spells make the weapon do different things. This effect will overlay on top of normal enchants and does include additional weapon FX that will overlay too. It even works on Bound weapons.
  • Realistic AI Detection SE (better sneaking)
Makes sneaking a little harder and a little more realistic.
  • Dragonborn Speaks Naturally
Use your voice to control dialogues with NPCs. Some users struggle to get this working.
  • Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim
For those that want a more advanced perk tree.
  • Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim
For those who wants way more spells added to the game
  • Apocalypse - Ordinator Compatibility Patch
Needed if you want both Apocalypse & Ordinator.
  • Know Your Enemy - Trait-based resistances and weaknesses
With this, wepaons and spells deal different damage based on enemy type and armor type they are using. See the mod page for all the changes this adds, or explore in game.
  • SK-TamrielWordspaceModdersMaps
This is just a map to help debugging issues. When active, it adds a grid system to the world map that helps pinpoint where a problem is.
  • No Stamina Drain For Sprinting
Sprinting does not cost Stamina. Kind of a cheat, but works very well with Natural Locomotion users.
  • Ring of Extra Carry
Definitly a cheat mod. Adds a ring to the players inventory. This ring boosts the players carry stat by 10 000. Very useful when moving things from one house to another, when you want to sell all your hoarded loot or if you just dont want to think about inventory when exploring.
  • Ethereal Tools
Transefer your skills, stats, spells and items to a new character.
  • Mute The Music
Play without background music. This is surprisingly immersive. Try it!
  • Bloodskal Blade - Enchantment Scaling
Lets the Bloodskal blade skale with your 2H skill
Optional skill increase mods
If you want to adjust the speed of your skill increases, then activate one of these optional mods.

  • Kvite's Leveling Rebalanced - Double Speed
