This mod returns to the golden age of flight mods, takes inspiration from House of the Dying Sun, puts in some quirks, and makes it modular (via AMUMSS):

SPACE_DORIFTO - drifting in space
  • Disables most turning brakes in space when not throttling
  • Drifts when turning without accelerating
  • Turning while accelerating will enable turning brakes again, resulting in more normal flying


SPACE_DORIFTO_ADVANCED - even more drifting in space

  • Completely disables turning brakes in space when not throttling
  • Shoot backward and keep flying forward
  • Controls will be pretty floaty
  • Acceleration will eventually straighten out trajectory


SPEEN - free roll/pitch on planets
  • Allows the ship to roll 360° on water
  • Allows pointing the ship directly down at the ground

CRUISE_SPEED - cruising on planets
  • Reduced braking after throttle on planets
  • Automatic cruise until boost/turn/roll on planets


FAST_PULSE - speedrider across planets
  • Way faster pulse
  • Tighter waypoint snapping
  • Start pulsing closer from planet
  • Enhanced Pulse Engine approach auto-pilot
  • Enables approach auto-pilot on Space Station


LOWFLIGHT - you know what it is
  • Fly closer to the ground
  • (or maybe even into it)


FASTER_SHIPS - fly fast
  • Makes ship go brrrr


REVERSE_ON_PLANETS - go past to the back
  • Allows ships to go backwards on planets


BASICALLY_CHEATING - miscellaneous
  • Increase shield regen rate
  • Increase launch thrusters regen time


To toggle these modules, edit the AMUMSS .lua script (for use with AMUMSS) and set them to false to disable them!

This mod is provided as-is, thus will only be updated as long as I use it.
AMUMSS script is provided, however, and everyone is welcome to create their own versions with it.
