About this mod

This changes the tiny piles of gem & metal dusts added by Tamriel_Data and OAAB_Data to tiny bottles. Also includes a fix for the missing lodestone textures for both mods

Changelogs
The tiny piles of dust from Tamriel_Data & OAAB_Data are now tiny bottles.  The piles of dust, in general, bother me on multiple levels but it's absurd to think I'm carrying loose dust particles in my inventory & can somehow separate them.  More importantly, they just don't look great on display in my mage loft.  For this mod, I ONLY updated the dust piles for the gems, plus stalhrim, scrap metal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, diamond, raw glass, gold, silver, and welkynd stones.  I left things like vampire dust, lich dust, prismatic dust - anything with a large pile - as-is.

There are several instances where Tamriel_Data & OAAB_Data added dust piles for the same gem but the piles have different ID numbers.  In those cases, the two dusts used two different mesh bottles.  See the screenshots for the (minor) difference in the bottles.

The icons have NOT changed.  They still show the piles of dust (or whatever was used) per the original mods so the dusts don't get confused with potions in our inventory.

I did update the names of a few items:
  • added the word 'dust' where it was lacking
  • Changed OAAB's Topaz (the gem & dust) to 'Blue Topaz' (since theirs is a blue topaz)
  • Changed OAAB's Garnet (the gem & dust) to 'Spessartite Garnet'

NOTE:  The IDs of the items did NOT change so any quests that are looking for AB_IngMine_Topaz_01 (OAAB's Topaz) will accept Blue Topaz since the game engine looks for the ID, not what's in the name field.

These are higher resolution textures / meshes.  There are no 'vanilla friendly' versions planned.

OPTIONAL FIX FOR LODESTONE GEMS

If your lodestone gem (not the dust) has spikes but is otherwise all black, there is an optional fix included.  It replaces the meshes for both mods (which were identical in appearance but with different file names) & includes a texture for the rock & the HD texture for the spikes.  This is replacer so no .esp file is needed.  Just copy / paste the Data Files folder inside the Lodestone Fix folder to your Morrowind Install folder.  Confirm the overwrite on the 2 meshes.

This mod has been cleaned with TES3CMD and double-checked with Morrowind Enchanted Editor.

REQUIREMENTS:

Tamriel Data
OAAB_Data

*********************
INSTALLATION:

Extract the files to your Data Files folder.  Activate the .ESP file in your mod loader of choice.

UNINSTALL:

From Data Files\Meshes\sig\un\ remove the folder named 'dst'
From Data Files\Textures\sig\uni\ remove the folder named 'dst'
(if you do not use any other mod from me you can delete the 'sig' folders too)
Delete the .ESP file

You should be fine to install this on an active game BUT if you have placed any of the bottles in the world, they won't be sitting correctly until you pick them up & place them down again.  If any mod has placed the tiny dust piles in the world, the same applies.

CREDITS:

The teams behind Tamriel_Data and OAAB_Data for adding some many amazing assets to Morrowind!
Tamriel Data's team for the amazing bottle meshes
Intelligent Textures / Flash3113 for the upscaled bottle texture

If I used a texture but didn't credit it here, please let me know! I tried to keep track of where each image came from but I might have forgotten one or two.  The images on the labels were screenshots from my game that were run through AI filters in Photoshop.
