About this mod

All alchemy potions now have unique colors using AOF's Potion Bottles as a base. Version 1.0 covers only the vanilla GOTY potions. OAAB_Data and Tamriel_Data are planned expansions but it will take a while to finish them.

I've been on a quest to make as many of the named items in the game actually have distinct appearances.  This mod tackles alchemy potions using the gorgeous bottles created by AnOldFriend.  The original mod AOF Potions along with  AOF Potions Recolored are the basis of this mod.  You do NOT need either of those mods to use this one but please download & endorse them.  

There are a few other bottle meshes not from AOF along with some base-game meshes that I extracted & changed (the originals are unaffected).

All potions have unique icons so they will be distinct in your inventory.  If you use Seph's Inventory Decorator, like I do, the added symbols don't interfere with any of my icons.

All textures are HD textures NOT vanilla resolution textures.  None of them are crazy-high resolution, since the bottles are tiny.

Unique potions are also unique in appearance

If you use a mod like Replica Crafting MWSE, you have the option of crafting trophy versions of all quest items but quest potions had no visual difference so I fixed that too.

For version 1.0 GOTY edition, I include unique potion bottles for:

- Love Potion
- Blood of the Quarra Masters
- Trebonius' Potion of Curing
- Sinyaramen's Potion
- Pyroil Tar  (mesh is a modified Coherer)
- Spoiled Dwemer Oil
- Verminous Fabricant Elixir
- Fabricant Elixir
- Elixir of the Imperfect
- The Waters of Life (mesh from TheWanderer)
- Ancient Dagoth Brandy (if you use a different replacer for this, but that mod after mine)

DEFAULT POTION GRADES DO NOT CHANGE UNLESS YOU DOWNLOAD THE OPTIONAL REPLACER FILE

This means whatever meshes/textures you're using for the potion bottles currently will remain the default for any potions added by mods.  If you want more variety in bottles, just download the main Unique Potions mod and skip the optional files.

Available Replacer Versions:

AOF Potions Replacer for Unique Potions
:  Use this version alongside the main mod.  This replaces the default potion bottles with AOF Potions BUT the color for bargain, cheap, standard, quality, and exclusive potions is a pale green color to differentiate them from the potion colors used in Unique Potions.  The 'fresh' potion is a unique pinkish color.  The metal parts of the bottles use their original textures so they will have a completely unique appearance.

AOF Potions Replacer - Original Mod Colors:  Use this version ONLY if you are NOT using Unique Potions.  This is a replacer so no .esp is required.   My updates place all the files in their correct folders and includes inventory icons (missing in the original mod).    You do NOT want to use this with my mod as the colors AOF used are used by specific potion formulas in my mod. 

What this version fixed: The original AOF Potions mod created errors in-game as it placed some files in the wrong folders.  AOF Potions Retextured fixed those errors & added additional potion color groupings based on spell class BUT the .esp files included changes to every single cell/location in the game where potion bottles were found. They didn't realize this wasn't necessary but the extensive changes created tons of compatibility issues.  I created this for everyone who wanted to use AOF Potions but didn't know how to fix the issues.  This does NOT include the class recoloring of AOF Potions Retextured, just the original mod.

Misc Notes:

All bottle meshes will place correctly (no floating / embedded bottles) on a new game.  If you add this mod to an existing game, you WILL find floating / partially embedded bottle meshes in all the cells (locations) you have already visited.  If you pick them up & put them back down, they'll sit normally however, if you try this in a shop, touching the bottles is considered theft so just be mindful of that.  All newly visited cells should place the bottles correctly but there are no guarantees on that!

I made adjustments to the UV mapping for all of AOF's bottles to correct a texture error that results in the glass texture being stretched in two places.  I also made adjustments to the UV maps based on the textures I used so they fit correctly.   Both replacer versions contain the corrected meshes.

Normal Maps are included for all the textures that AOF had included.  The only bottles that don't have normal maps for each section are the Bargain & Cheap bottles - and only because I didn't notice that the bands on those bottles didn't use the normal maps until I was nearly done.  This may cause issues with OpenMW but I don't use it so I have no idea how that works. The normal maps are in the mod but you'd have to open each individual mesh to add in the normal map to the correct section of the mesh.

INSTALLATION:

Install the files into your Data Files folder.  A mod manager like Mod Organizer 2 is highly recommended.

Uninstall:

Delete the files from:

\Meshes\sig\aof and \sig\un\p (vintage brandy, dagoth brandy, hulking / verminous / imperfect elixirs)
\Textures\sig\aof and \sig\un\p (vintage brandy, dagoth brandy, hulking / verminous / imperfect elixirs)
\Icons\sig\aof and \sig\un\p (vintage brandy, dagoth brandy, hulking / verminous / imperfect elixirs)
Delete the .esp

FUTURE UPDATES:

I am planning to tackle all the potions in OAAB_Data and Tamriel_Data too but that will take a while.

Some potions glow more than others.  As I continue to test the setup for my next playthrough, I may adjust some of those but no guarantees.
