Transfer settlement blueprint. A robust mercenary base built in an old warehouse on spectacle island, but with some secrets to hide...

This is a Transfer Settlements Blueprint for the vanilla Spectacle Island settlement location. The coolest part is a personal vault hidden behind a fake concrete wall door.

Spectacle Island was never traveled frequently, on account of the mirelurks dotting its shore, but fishermen gave the island an even wider berth after a group of mercenaries moved into an old warehouse on the western shore of the island. Shortly thereafter unsubstantiated rumors cropped up of people going being taken to the island, never to be seen again. Locals, who did not seem to be of interest to the islanders, tended to mind their own business, and leave the heavily armed group to their own affairs. But things aren't always what they seem...

For the Director's Desk: Spectacle Island Black Site - Following the termination of [redacted], and the the compromise of his facility at [redacted], board concurrence was granted for establishment of a multipurpose offsite facility. After scouting numerous locations, an old warehouse on Spectacle Island was chosen on account of its remote, isolated nature. Primary purposes include:
  • Offsite holding and interrogation of subjects of interest prior to, or completely in lieu of, transference to the Institute proper.
  • Salvage acquisition and sorting operations for surface resources.
  • Surface housing for the Director, who desired a similar "hideout" to the late agent asset [redacted].
  • Surface housing for the Director's trusted parties and other surface agents.

This is one of my largest builds. It's mostly finished but at this point I'm just adding greebles, and figure folks could add their own. It's 85-90% complete.

The concept was for a playthrough which would only bother maintaining one or a few settlements, and that would as realistically as possible, have a hidden home for the player. It occurs to me that the PC spends a lot of time invading homes and stealing stuff, so an isolated, well-defended facility which then had a hidden home on top of that felt protected enough. The head canon lore is that this is the above-ground outpost the Sole Survivor gets after siding with the Institute, because they want their own hideout like Kellogg. Given that it's spectacle island, having access to vertibirds or institute teleportation for survival gameplay would be helpful.

Overview of floors:
  • Main floor, the warehouse floor: has a large portion dedicated to salvage sorting and gathering. Has a wooden barracks building in the center. A club-house/office/bar is built into the raised metal structure.
  • Basement: there's a ramp going to a small basement. Inside are cells and an interrogation room. Spot for a doctor/chem dealer.
  • Top floor: old decrepit offices. A salvage merchant lives here. But behind a fake concrete door is a personal vault, complete with master bed/bath, kitchenette, living space, guest bed, and guest bath. Behind a false book case door is a WIP armory/trophy room.
  • Roof: A rooftop generator, some work stations, and a rooftop garden with irrigation system occupy the available roof space (irrigation system isn't real, it's just workshop DLC conduits hanging over the garden).

So that's that. I wanted a somewhat believable, fancy hideout for the player. The hidden player part isn't gigantic.
