Description:

Adds a new populated or unpopulated playable world. Named because the main island is vaguely shaped like a croissant and I am not creative with names. In the world is the usual places of work and to visit, summary below.

The residents are primarily living in 3 neighborhoods, the poor and just starting out are in the trailer park, all 1-2 bedroom trailers. Then you have the middle class neighborhood filled with 2 or 3 bedroom track houses. The neighborhood has 2 house designs and mirror versions of them so not a whole lot of variety as expected by track houses(20 of them is why I did track houses lol). Then you have the upper middle class/lower upper class neighborhood. There's a point with the two wealthy families living on beach front property with a third property there waiting for your Sim to build a beach front mansion that makes theirs pale in comparison. 3 homes on the small islands and 3 households on the coast of the main island. Unpopulated version the homes are there just nobody is living in them.

Downtown is mostly shopping but it has the laundromat, Salon and tattoo, Bistro, Day Spa, and the theater. On a dead end road off downtown is a business park. That includes the science facility, Plumbob pictures, the military facility, and EA's headquarters(I find it funny to call it that). The rest of the commercial lots are scattered about the island.

The Sims themselves are rather bog standard boring Sims. 51 families to make and you get real sick of Create A Sim real quick. Though their homes are setup to suit them. There are no celebrities, pets, or any other kind of sim than plain boring human. It would have required a save file instead of a populated world to fully implement that. The game will change that though if you let it but not having them natively reduces the time to remove them if you don't want them.

Not much more to say about the world other than see for yourself and the summary...

.Has Llama Memorial Stadium and Hoi Palloi Event Center so you can have a sports sim and a singer(or other performer) in the same world and play a game and a concert at the same time. Llama doesn't allow concerts you can control so there's that too.
.Has the Plumbob movie studio for those acting Sims to have work.
.1 chess park with chess and domino tables... no more sporty sim deciding to play chess in the park or swap the chess with a table before even starting the game. Not every park needs chess EA.
.A Sim Fu dojo.
.A nectary. Has all the nectar grapes planted, a bar, filled nectar racks for tasting, and racks for buying in the cellar. Register sells nectar, racks, and nectar makers. 100% fully functional without the tomb... I didn't make one lol.
.Porta-Party, Micks, Flying V's, and a performance park for performers or just to visit. Fixed Sims going to the back employee door at Porta Party, I deleted the door added a new dumpster and replaced the existing dumpster with one that allows diving.

.Consignment shop, not the crappy one EA puts in worlds... It's my crappy one lol.
.2 dive bars. 1 was made by an old Sim I made years ago named Willy thus named Willies. The other was an artist party animal Lady sim I made with the last name of Burden and thus her bar was called No Burdens 4 U.
.A dance club. You might want to shut off the strobe lights lol.
.An Equestrian center.
.A horse training grounds.
.A cat pet park.
.A dog pet park.
.3 large parks, 1 is on an island.
.A Laundromat.
.A resort on a beach but in need of an investor... it's just sand right now.
.2 scuba diving spots. Good for practicing Scuba and collecting fish or whatever and using NRAAS Traveler mod to take a vacation to Isla Paradiso to explore it's dive spots.
.2 fully functional ports. Needs houseboats though.
.3 Beaches, 1 main beach that's fully setup next to the downtown. 1 at an entertainment zone part of the town that has the art gallery and library. 1 completely empty in need of an investor.
.A 64x64 empty lot for the Seasons Expansion Festivals.
.Plenty of salt water fish spawners, 2 ocean fishing spots.
.1 fresh water fishing spot plus 1 in the big park, graveyard, junkyard, a small park, and behind the science building.
.A Junkyard that is also a bar.
.A cliff side hangout spot, this is for if you have a mod that allows you to place the Late Night food truck.( foodtruck Enabled ) It also has an arcade(more of a rec center) for sims to play games. It's large enough to add more games if you have them.
.8 Starter homes. They are homes with a bedroom available for each number of sims in your household. 1 bedroom trailer all the way to an 8 bedroom home. They are priced $4500 less than an all adult households starting funds and fully furnished. Furnishings are starter home furnishings and they are not decorated. Priced less than starting funds so you can buy a vehicle or skill objects as well as the home.

.100 total residential lots, 51 are populated, 11 are empty homes.
.4 islands, 1 main island, 1 with 4 lots(2 populated and 2 empty) and a large park. 1 with a single empty beach lot, and 1 with 1 empty and 1 populated lot.
.More than enough places to add your own lots. 200 lots all total and all connected to a road is easily possible.
.7 empty commercial lots between downtown and the main beach for adding stuff from other expansion packs. Possibly have to make your own version of them.
.2 empty commercial lots flanking the main beach. For you to add your own stuff.
.2 empty parks set as no visitors allowed. For you to decorate and make useable if you want.


Optional CAW files available, you can modify the world yourself. These are the populated world, unpopulated world, and the Sims from my bin used to populate the world. as separate downloads. If you plan on making changes to the home lots with the populated world CAW file do it in EIG mode and also if changing the Sims themselves requires being careful. The bin Sims are available for the unpopulated world so you can populate it again and have fun with careers and homeless Sim bosses, or just to play in other worlds.

Known issues...
Sims career bosses are all over the place making little sense and NOT what I wanted due to EIG deciding to populate the world with homeless Sims and making one a boss of every one of the first Sims I set for that career that was supposed to be the boss. Removing the homeless either all at once or after each sim had a career set had the same result, No Sim set as the default boss so any new sim added to the career would pick one of the former at random as the boss. Attempts to rectify that with NRAAS was a game of futility and frustration. It would make retired and intentionally unemployed sims(for manning registers) employees. I spent 6 hours going over 51 families trying to get the right boss, career levels, Lack of skills, and unemployed/retired right and the EFFING editor fought me all the way undoing every single change I made before I could get through all of the Sims. Make a random Sim in the career a boss, set their career to level 5, and give them the skills needed for that level so I had at 1 point 1 single level 1 business Sim and a bunch of level 5's including a little old lady that was previously set as retired and had nothing to do with the career track. To which she became a firefighter later FFS. One time there was more firefighters than any 3 other careers combined and 2 of them were grannies that were supposed to be retired. FFFffFfffFfffFfffUuuuuuuuuuuuuu........... Yeah I am pissed about it. NO I will not try to fix it. Atleast in the world now the intentionally unemployed should be unemployed rather than firefighters or other active careers and your Sim won't have trailer park dude/dudette as their boss making you scratch your head and ask "Why?".

If you have a sim go to the side of a road not next to an entertainment lot they may decide to go swimming and then yell about not being able to get to the water. Even if they are 20 floor tiles away from the ocean and can walk down to the water without issue.

Many locations have Sims entering or exiting them at odd locations. City Hall it's just right of the walkway and planters. Trailer houses they will go to a corner of the lot. One of the rich homes they walk around a bench in the side yard. No clue what causes that, therefore no clue as to how to fix it.

"Some of the populated homes are barely decorated and your home layouts suck." Indeed. I am neither an architect nor an interior designer so you get sucky layouts and badly decorated.

Knubb sets in the parks should be replaced or removed with a new game. Placing them in CAW causes Sims to toss the baton in the wrong direction and some sims may get stuck playing forever and ever.

Install:

Put Crescent Island.Sims3Pack into your Sims 3 Downloads folder and install it with the Sims 3 launcher.

Optional for Sims, place the Library folder inside the Sims download into The Sims 3 documents folder. Backup and empty the original if you don't want them cluttering up the bin and just want them for populating the unpopulated CAW file.

Optional For CAW, place the folders into the CAW folder.
