Description
This is a conversion and revamp of my mod from Skyrim LE.
Skyrim LE Mod page: Unique Bodies by Race

I know there are a number of mods that make custom bodies for each race out there, but I wanted to make my own. I also wanted to make my mod able to be easily integrated into other mods out there, or to be used to easily make totally new ones. The result is my mod here: Unique Bodies by Race.

This mod gives each playable race in vanilla Skyrim their own body meshes for females. This mod also makes essentially all the clothing and armor in Skyrim, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn look different, making each race look unique in clothing. The body meshes included are nevernude meshes. It also gives each race their own set of body, head, and hand textures as well. I HAVE NOW INCLUDED BASE CBBE TEXTURES FOR EACH RACE, as I just recently received permissions to do so. A big thank you and shout out to ousnius for giving me permission! Look under the "Customization" section for more details on how to change the meshes and textures.
WARNING!!
In order to make sure the new head skin textures show up correctly on the NPCs, I had to rebuild all the FaceGen data for EVERY NPC IN THE GAME! They are absolutely necessary for the mod to work correctly, but THESE WILL OVERWRITE ANY NPC CUSTOMIZATION MODS YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED (e.g. Bijin mods, Pandorables mods, Men of Winter, etc.) if you use the Loose Files version. You should have any NPC customization mods overwrite the files from this mod. That way they look like they are supposed to from any of those mods you may have downloaded. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the xEdit patcher from NPC Facegen Patcher to patch any NPC replacer mods you have to share the racial textures setup in this mod.

I also carried over and included the fixes done by both USSEP and WACCF mods. They are both REQUIRED for my mod, as they are master files to mine. Whether or not you download my mod, I 100% recommend downloading both USSEP and WACCF! They are almost a necessity for any modder.

I have included the mod in a loose files version and a BSA version. You can download one or the other. DO NOT download both versions!

For your reference when I say "Default" meshes, I mean meshes that go in their natural directory (e.g. the Default hide armor goes into the file structure "meshes/armor/hide"). These meshes are only shown in game for non-playable races that do not use one of the playable races as a template. These races and the "Default" race are about the only races that use these meshes. Otherwise the meshes used come from the new meshes added for each race. Hope this clears things up!

The Argonian meshes are designated by "Beast" in SSEEdit or the CreationKit rather than Argonian. This is a remnant of previous versions of the mod and was easier to keep that way than change the name. Also all records added by this file have "_UBBR" at the end to better find them.

This mod was developed by using the Bodyslide and Outfit Studio to build the meshes with different presets. The presets used were the ones included with the CBBE mod. Is used the Athletic preset for the Khajiit and Wood Elves, the Chubby preset for the Elder race and Nords, the Curvy preset for the Imperials and Redguards, the Petite preset for the Argonians and Dark Elves, the Slim preset for the Bretons and High Elves, and the Strong preset for the Orcs. I also made clothing presets using these presets to generate a more natural look while NPCs are clothed. The meshes built do not contain any physics to them. You can always build meshes with these physics using Bodyslide given that you have the desired Bodyslide data. See the "Customization" heading below for more details on doing this. For the Elder race, I only individualized the meshes for the armor and clothing that appear on Elder NPCs in vanilla Skyrim, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn.

Requirements
  • Dawnguard
  • Dragonborn
  • Hearthfire
  • USSEP by Arthmoor and the Unofficial Skyrim Project Team
  • WACCF by kryptopyr
  • NPC Facegen Patcher by Byku12345 is a soft requirement, but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to patch your load order's NPCs to have their Facegen Data use the racial textures you setup with this mod.

Recommended Mods
Check out these amazing mods and give them some endorsements!
-Height Adjusted Races by
EvilDeadAsh34 and SkyrimSkuj to add height variability to all races
AND/OR
FK's Diverse Racial Skeletons by fairkauri to change skeletons of each race for additional variability in body shapes and to add height variability as well
-HIMBO by Kreiste to give males modifiable bodies and outfits in Bodyslide and Outfit Studio. It can be vanilla friendly as well, which is nice

Installation/Uninstallation
This mod is safe to install or uninstall at any time. There are NO SCRIPTS included in this mod.
I would recommend installing/uninstalling with a mod manager because there are a lot of files. Unless you keep close track of all the files, it will be very difficult to uninstall or update the mod. Otherwise, you can extract the files into your Data folder for Skyrim Special Edition, or delete them if you wish to uninstall it.

Place this as close to the end of your load order as you possibly can! This mod makes many edits, so it can be easy for a mod to overwrite any of those edits. See the "Compatibility" heading for more information.

Updating
For Users of any mod manager:
-Uninstall the old version and install with the new version.
Manual:
-
Delete all the old files from the old version, then extract the files of the new version into your Data folder.

Compatibility
Spoiler:
Show
This mod IS COMPATIBLE with any retexture of the vanilla armors or clothing.

It is NOT COMPATIBLE with any remeshes of the vanilla armor. So if you have mods that skimpify or change the meshes of the armor in any way, they will not show in this mod. You can build the meshes of remeshed armor with Bodyslide, or copy and paste them into the correct folders to have them appear in game. See the "Customization" heading below for more details.

It is also
NOT COMPATIBLE with any mod that changes the "armor addons" (ARMAs) or the "armors" (ARMOs) of most of the vanilla clothing and armor. They will overwrite the changes done by this mod. It is suggested to put the "Unique Bodies by Race.esp" file as low as you can in your load order to try and prevent these overwrites. If you use Vortex and the sorting capabilities of the program, I would recommend flagging the esp as "High Priority Override." You can use SSEEdit to build your own patches to this mod.

Custom races should work fine with this mod. If the race uses one of the vanilla races as a template for its armor or clothing, then its meshes will match those of that race. Otherwise, it will use the "Default" meshes.

The meshes used in this mod are CBBE based, so it is NOT COMPATIBLE with any other body mods. The only way you could make it compatible is if you rebuilt all the meshes using whichever body replacer mod you use in Bodyslide, then placed them in the correct directories. See "Customization" below for details on how to do that.
Customization
Spoiler:
Show

You can fairly easily customize this mod to create the meshes you desire to see in game. You can use Bodyslide to create new presets, or alter the presets I have included, then build the meshes you want. Each race has its own directory. They will look something like the following: "Data/meshes/xxx" where "xxx" is the name of the race (e.g. Argonian, Dark Elf, etc.). Within these directories are the clothing and armor meshes which are built exactly the same as their "Default" counterparts. For example, the bandit armor has the following file structure: "meshes/armor/bandit." The file structure for the Argonian bandit armor is the following: "meshes/Argonian/armor/bandit." The only difference is the addition of the race folder. This allows for easier building of your own meshes.

You can also replace the body, hand, and face textures included in the file to customize the textures to your liking. Most textures are obtained from within the file structure "textures/actors/character/xxxfemale" or "textures/actors/character/xxxmale" where xxx represents each race. The elder textures are obtained from within their natural directory "textures/actors/character/femaleold" and "textures/actors/character/maleold." Female orc textures are obtained from within the directory of "textures/actors/character/orcfemale," while the male orc textures are obtained from within the  directory of "textures/actors/character/orcmale." You will need to add the following textures, depending on the gender, within each race's folder to change the textures each race uses:
  • femalebody_1.dds or malebody_1.dds
  • femalebody_1_msn.dds or malebody_1_msn.dds
  • femalebody_1_s.dds or malebody_1_s.dds
  • femalehands_1.dds or malehands_1.dds
  • femalehands_1_msn.dds or malehands_1_msn.dds
  • femalehands_1_s.dds or malehands_1_s.dds
  • femalehead_1.dds or malehead_1.dds
  • femalehead_1_msn.dds or malehead_1_msn.dds
  • femalehead_1_s.dds or malehead_1_s.dds
Make sure the textures you add are compatible with the body meshes you use.
Future Plans
Spoiler:
Show
I will make a few patches using this mod in the future, but I do not plan to make patches for many mods. I do not have the time to make patches for all the different mods out there. That's why I have left it open for easy integration into other mods. If you wish for this mod to work with another one, create a compatibility or other patch for it. I have detailed my permissions information for using this mod below in the "Permissions" section.

Version 3.31:
  • Fixed issue where HIMBO's Steel Plate boot project in Bodyslide builds the mesh names differently than vanilla Skyrim. The male support ESL has been changed to match the meshes accordingly.
  • Fixed accidentally including the BSA file in the Loose Files version of the Male Support file.
Version 3.3:
MAJOR CHANGES
  • Broke into two plugins: one ESM that builds the new UBBR race-specific armor addons, and one ESL flagged ESP that incorporates the changes to Skyrim's armor addons and armors. With the size of the mod and the number of items it adds, I felt it would be more appropriate and optimal this way.
  • Added Male outfit support in separate download. HIMBO was used to build these meshes. HOWEVER: HIMBO is not required for this to work correctly. Contains ESL file that modifies the ESM items from the main download to allow males to have race-specific meshes. Look in Optional section for the download.
MINOR CHANGES
  • Fixed an error I found in Imperial Light Boots.
  • Added missing high elf version of Vampire Amulet from Dawnguard.
Version 3.21: Fixed some invisible mage robes on elder NPCs.
Version 3.2:
  • Worked on the projects in Outfit Studio to improve meshes overall, optimize shapes in certain areas of certain meshes, and to decrease clipping in game. This includes the following improvements:
-Removed as much of the naked female body that does not show on many outfits to reduce clipping in the game.-Added vertexes around the breast area of many outfits to create smoother shaping.-Used the Uniboob/Unicurtain resources created by Acro748 to create more natural-shaped/immersive-shaped armors and clothing for many vanilla outfits.
  • Added missing Khajiit Armor Addon for Dark Brotherhood boots.
  • Reorganized BSA file to include textures in loose files format to aid with skin texture replacers.
  • Tweaked the presets used for the meshes of each race to create slightly better body-shaping.
  • Added optional tutorial for those wanting to create a patch for armor mods using a similar framework as UBBR.
Version 3.12: Fixed missing wolf boot meshes. Shout out to waggles516 for finding this issue!
Version 3.11: Fixed invisible wench boots.
Version 3.1:
  • Fixed missing stormcloak boot meshes. Shout out to anothersympathetic for finding this issue!
  • Fixed (for certain this time) the orc texture issue.
  • Fixed the dawnguard armor looking for incorrect mesh (had an additional "_" in file it was looking for). Shout out to jazzahaulic and anothersympathetic for finding this issue!
  • Fixed certain mage robes from not showing up.
  • Reorganized BSA version into two BSA files, one for meshes and one for textures.
Version 3.01: Included CBBE textures with permission.
Version 3.0: Initial release of mod for Skyrim Special Edition.

Leave a comment with whatever question, issue, or concern you may have. You can also leave a Bug Report for any issues you might come across. I will respond as soon as I am able.

Photos
Spoiler:
Show
I have uploaded some photos for each body type to show what they look like in game. The textures of the bodies used in the photos are not included in this mod. They are the body textures I use in my game. If you wish to, you can also upload your own photos. I have no problem with that (as long as they aren't inappropriate). I'd love to see them!

Permissions
You have my permission to use my mod and its mesh resources to make your own mods. The textures included were not made by me, so you do not have permission to use them in another mod. You would have to gain permission from them. They kindly gave me permissions to include their textures in this mod. Before trying to do something with this mod, I ask a few things of you:

1. Contact me about your mod so that I can make sure it is within the permissions I have with the texture assets.
2. Give me credit for using my mod.
3. Only upload it to Nexus.

If you decide to make a compatibility patch for my mod, you obviously need to gain permission from the mod author of the mod you are making my mod compatible with if that mod requires it.
