Falmerious - Snow Elves of Skyrim

Falmerious implements Skyrim's lost race, the ancient Falmer, as a playable race in a lore friendly way. Don't forget to endorse if you like it!

I have begun a mod that is going to add NPCs of my various races throughout Skyrim. If you would like to contribute to the project, either as a quest scripter, writer, or even a dungeon designer, send me a message!

You can find updates on the Zebsirious NPC Expansion as well as any of my other projects here!

This mod is out of date. An updated version can be found here, as part of my Zebsirious race compilation.

Features

  • A new playable race, the Snow Elf
  • Imperious-style stats and abilities
  • A small player home
  • A temple to the Falmeri pantheon
  • A new set of robes

Snow Elf skill bonuses

+10 Destruction
+10 Archery
+5 Light Armor
+5 One Handed
+5 Conjuration
+5 Restoration

Stats and abilities

Health: 100
Magicka: 105
Stamina: 95
Health regeneration: 0.75%
Magicka regeneration: 3.125%
Stamina regeneration: 4.875%
Carry Weight: 275

  • Permafrost: Your ice-coated skin freezes the air around you, draining 10 stamina per second from enemies in melee range.
  • Frozen Spirit: Frost resistance increases as health decreases.
  • Blood and Snow: Frost spells and placed frost enchantments are 20% stronger.

Quest* reward - Find the Ancient Falmeri Temple to unlock
Touch of Winter1/day - Encase surrounding enemies in ice for 20 seconds. Frozen enemies take reduced damage.

*I didn't actually create a quest to unlock the power. Instead, there is a book on the table in the temple's bedroom that will give the power if read by a Snow Elf.

The Temple

Somewhere in the northeastern, frozen parts of Skyrim, a temple to the Falmeri pantheon can be found. In addition to shrines to Auri-el, Phynaster, Syrabane, Trinimac, and Y'ffre, the temple contains a bedroom with basic necessities, along with a set of Ancient Falmer Robes in the wardrobe.

There are no in-game hints as to the temple's location, but for those who don't want to spend the time finding it, I've included a second ReadMe with its location in the download.

The Shrines

Shrine of Auri-el: Bows do 25% more damage
Shrine of Phynaster: +50 health
Shrine of Syrabane: +50 magicka
Shrine of Trinimac: +50 stamina
Shrine of Y'ffre: Health, magicka, and stamina regenerate 50% faster

Compatibility

The only incompatibilites I can think of would be those that add new areas to the same area as the temple in Winterhold, but I haven't run into any problems with my 100+ mods installed.

A bashed patch may be necessary for compatibility with mods that edit headparts formlists.

I used several assets from other authors, so you must get their permission before using anything from this mod.
