A complete and total overhaul of New Vegas.

Changelogs
As of 2.0.0, it is HIGHLY recommended players make a new save when, otherwise there can and will be issues with existing perks and effects.

Description:
VEIL is my love letter to Fallout: New Vegas, a game I've been playing for going on 8 years now, and modding for 5. I always found the gameplay and balance in New Vegas to be inconsistent, with many weapons and enemies being inconsistent with not only older Fallout titles, but New Vegas' own sandbox. This displeasure has let me to rebalance most of the game, however something very important to me in this was to keep it Vanilla+, at no point did I want players to be taken away from the experience.

I have also restored quite a lot of content that was cut for performance reasons or due to it not being complete (HUGE shoutout to Sandbox for their work in Uncut Wasteland).

I encourage any would-be players of this mod to start a new game, and enjoy your stay.

You can view the main changelogs in the Articles section.

What it Does:
• More consistent gameplay and balance
• Restored content
• Hundreds of bug fixes and improvements
• New challenges and map markers

Recommended Mods:
Yukichigai Unofficial Patch: Never play without YUP, it is the ultimate unofficial patch for New Vegas and fixes thousands of bugs and mistakes, both big and small. Load VEIL after YUP, and merge the NPC changes into YUP's main esm
New Vegas Tick Fix: Featuring fixes to the dreaded micro stutter, and a high FPS Havok fix. Supersedes NVSR.
New Vegas Heap Replacer: "This library will replace the in-game heap with a faster, more optimized version. It should decrease load times, remove some stutter and slightly improve frame rate."
Improved Lighting Shaders: Allows up to four times the number of active lights.
Simple DT/DR: Adds DR to all armors in Vegas (including modded ones) in the style of either JESawyer's mod, or F1/2 balance.

Incompatible Mods:
Unofficial Patch NVSE+: UPNVSE+, OG UPNVSE, and OG UP+ are all hard incompatible, as I have effectively implemented all of UPNVSE's fixes into VEIL while that mod was still active.
A Tale of Two Wastelands: This mod is incompatible with TTW, because we cover a lot of parallel ground and the same fixes.
Any Rebalance Mod: Like seriously just don't unless you're willing to patch everything.

Thank You:
Many modders have been willing to let me use their mods within my own project, or have left their mods open, I want to give them a very very special thank you individually.
• Hopper31: For originally inspiring me to make this in the first place, constantly testing and giving me feedback, helping me out with stuff I consistently forgot about, and allowing me to include Better Archimedes II.
• J.E.Sawyer: For all the rebalance decisions I straight up stole from his mod was inspired by.
• Hitman: For the Tesla Cannon animation fix (also a separate mod here).
• YanL: For allowing me to include Fix for the Caesar Legion Armors.
• tostikaas: For creating Lucky 38 World LOD Fix.
• sandbox6: For taking the time to restore hundreds upon hundreds of statics, markers, and NPCs in Uncut Wasteland.
• RoyBatty and the TTW team for allowing me to steal include general and misc fixes.
• garwert and Dmitry "Sunseifer" Sokolov: For the Scouts Handbook texture.
• TheWhiteCr0w: For allowing me to include McCarran main terminal transparent glass.
• delamer: For taking the time to create Dead Money Deans Blackmail holo fix and keeping it open.
