About this mod

Fixes Addendums contains additional bugfixes and corrects some small annoyances or oversights. It is intended to be used as addition to the amazing ME:A Fixpack and other bug fix mods.

Fixes Addendum - Main Mod

Includes several fixes for problems not tackled by other mods:

  • Gameplay
    • Fixed Cryo and Incediary ammo not receiving the appropriate burn duration bonus provided by their boosting weapon augments (Cryo Condenser and Heat Inducer).
    • Fixed Plasma Charge Augment on Remnant weapons not going into overheat mode.
  • Ryder's Skills
    • Fixed incorrectly displayed SavingBarrier Health Threshold for Ryder and MP Chars. Also fixed saving barrier not taking the actual set value into account, but a default value.
    • Fixed Team Support skill 6a Defense Grid. This was bugged in multiple ways: Not updating or even applying bonuses, limiting the bonus at a too low value, counting Ryder twice for the number of allies...
  • SquadMates' Skills
    • Fixed Cora's offensive5 soldier anti-armour bonus being always applied, even when the skill is not taken.
    • Fixed Drack's Rage anti-armour bonus not being applied when his offensive5 veteran skill is not taken.
  • Maps / Quests
    • Eos Vault - A Better Beginning:
      • Prevent that second door (after the chasm where Pebee is met again) from locking in front of Ryder, when loading a save.
        Note: This is a hack, i force unlock the door each time it is locked. This might lead to weird behaviour. But is better than getting stuck there, unable to continue.
    • Eos - Kett's Bane:
      • Replaced area trigger for Bane Massani's initial conversation with character spawn trigger that is also used for the other two conversation variants (i.e., use to interact).
        Note: This leads to the quest and direction markers being updated prematurely, but this should not cause any problems.
      • Replaced the area trigger for removing kett corpses in the bunker near Bane with his dialog end trigger.
      • Replaced two enemy spawns in kett generator-base, so enemies do not spawn unreachable behind walls.
    • Eos - Remnant locations:
      • Added triggers to set three non completeable locations to completed when walking near their location marker. Two of those are in the south east near 'Four Giants', one in north east 'Presson Dunes'. (Not really a fix for anything, besides completionist syndrome)
      • Moved 5 of 9 spawnpoints in the most north eastern location remnant site at 'Presson Dunes' from underground or within the structure to the surface.
      • Fixed remnant cover that only exists while scanning to always exist as physical cover. ( Exists in one place on eos, not sure where )
    • Voeld - Remnant location:
      • Moved an underground spawn at the site near monolith 3 ( where the Heskaarl challenge takes place) to the surface. Also rotated it upright.
      • Fixed remnant cover that only exists while scanning to always exist as physical cover. ( Found in four different places on Voeld, e.g., next to the mysterious scourge meteorite from the 'Frequency' mission )
    • Kadara - A People Divided:
      • Marked the Roekaar hideout 'Structure' as completed after the last quest conversation there.
        Note: I'm pretty sure i picked a correct plot flag for this, but it might take reloading the Kadara map to actually change the symbol from white to blue.
    • Elaaden - Initiative Outpost:
      • Added additional stilt parts to one of the buildings that was floating in the air.
    • Nexus and Hyperion:
      • Moved three Nexus News terminals at Nexus Commons, so they are no longer floating in air or hidden inside a supportbeam in the Vortex bar.
      • Moved a screen at Nexus Operations' Militia Jail, so it does no longer float in the air.
      • Removed Scourge from Hyperion Cryobay after the prologue. Also made the closest, dark scourge tendril light up with the others during the prologue.
  • Space
    • Replaced angaran shuttle in Zheng He system (Nexus), orbiting H-599, with initiative model.
    • Replaced milkyway satellite in Civki System H-065 with kett satellite.
    • Replaced angaran shuttle in Jiraider system found during 'Life on the Frontier' with initiative model.
    • Liam's Loyalty Mission: Disabled the POI for starting the mission directly after it has been completed.

Drack and Kesh Conversation Changes
Version 1.0, made with Frosty 1.0.6.3
Changes the Conversations between Drack and Kesh in her office:

  • Dracks line about being worried only plays once per game
  • Dialog about Vorn, the Drack meetups in Kadara Port or the 'Firebreathing Threshermaws of Doom' game should each play once reliably.
  • There is another conversation about Dutch questioning Dracks merc stories that i could not trigger, but that is probably because it depends on a conversation at the Vortex bar that never played for me (?)
  • Dracks now defaults to one of his greetings if there is nothing new.

This mod uses several new plotflags to keep track of the already played conversation lines

Unsafe Fixes
Version 1.0, made with Frosty 1.0.6.3
Attention! This mod contains changes to files that are cooked with area and language specific VO line-references. It may not work or even crash if your game is set to a language audio other than english, french or german or does not include each of those languages!
Includes the following change:
  • Eos: In the kett generator base next to Bane Massani. Moved a loot container and health box, that were floating in the air, onto the ground.


Note for users: None of the mods here correct the many small problems of weapon impact assets (wrong of missing bonuses, mostly).
Those fixes are probably better handled by weapon rebalancing mods, so i did not bother here.
Currently known mods with those impact fixes, sorted by Nexus Id:

Load order advice: Bug fixes should generally be loaded before any other mods ( with default list ordering that means higher up in the list).
  • This is especially true for "Squad Changes" from "KrrKs' Changes Packs" and "Power Overhaul"! Those have to override "Fixes Addendum" to work correctly.
  • General load order is: bug fix mods first, then content mods, then compatibility patches

Note for Modders: When another mod changes the SavingBarrier threshold, that mod should overwrite the appropriate setter in skillstats_barrier, skillstats_barrier_mp, or skillstats_barrier_peebee
Then let that other mod overwrite this one, and the new value will be taken into account by logic_barrier.
