Modified:

All weapons have been thoroughly reworked and balanced correctly within the campaign progression!

Enemies are no longer bullet sponges that are waiting on you to to click away their HP bar. Each weapon is unique in their battlefield role, waiting on you to discover your perfect playstyle!

Inspired by the starting moments of Mass Effect 1, gunplay and the weapon progression has been altered to give you extremely satisfying sci-fi gunplay.

Extreme care has been taken to ensure every single weapon is fairly balanced and viable as an option, from early game all the way to endgame! Every single weapon modification has been tested against health, shield and armor enemies at the earliest possible point of acquisition, to the Lvl 80 character equipped with lvl 10 weapon mods.

Major Changes

  •  2x-5x damage increase to nearly all weapons in the game.
  •  Weapon damage progression is balanced against Passive Skills + Profiles + Weapon Mods progression
  •  Major weapon re-balance - weapons have dedicated categories and roles in the battlefield!
  •  Player HP reduction - Enemies are no longer bullet-spongy, but neither are you!
  •  Major increase in weapon recoil, camera shake and inaccuracy values - landing precise successive shots will be more difficult, but also more rewarding!
  •  Weapons "feel" like they hit hard. As they should by their codex lore!

Weapon Progression reworked! As weapons increase in level, they increase in recoil. You will need to invest in your passive skills, use correct profiles and acquire weapon mods to be proficient and lethal with high-level powerful weaponry.

Semi-detailed mod changelist:

Minor highlights:

  • Energy Beam-type weapons no longer have visual "travel time". The VFX look as you would expect a laser beam to look like.
  • Projectile-type weapons such as Falcon no longer have an odd "curve-ball" type property to the projectiles. They behave like you expect them to.
  • Falcon and other Grenade Launcher weapons no longer have "bouncy" grenades. They explode on impact.
  • Shotgun-type weapons have generally more pellets for more consistent damage over distance.
  • Alien Weapon shield bonus removed (1.15x -> 1x)
  • Shotgun Armor bonus reworked (1.25x -> 0.5x)
  • High-ROF and Shotgun type weapons do large amounts of shield damage, but lack against Armor
  • Slow-ROF hard-hitting weapons such as snipers and hand-cannons to large amounts of Armor damage, but lack against Shields
  • Higher tier weapons no longer have more spare ammo than lower tier variants. All weapon levels have same base ammo capacity.
  • Higher tier weapons are no longer lighter than lower tier variants. All weapon levels have same base weapon weight modifier.

The mod heavily overhauls majority of existing weapons. Forget what you know about weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda. Keep experimenting and discover your new favorite weapon, be it Milky way, or alien tech!

Note: Due to limitations of the Frosty Editor, text-assets like loading hints and weapon descriptions can not be changed. This results in some weapons having incorrect descriptions, and loading hints to be incorrect. Ignore all weapon-related loading hints, and try out as many weapons as you can for yourself to see if they fit your playstyle!

Note 2: The Pathfinder weapon set has not been modified as of yet (version 0.9a). It may be modified and expanded up to 10 levels with 1.0 release.
