As per request, and with the aid of TWFH1, you can now find the entire "Cinematic Sounds" collection in one place. The collection comes in two different downloads, one is an installer which works with NMM to simply tick which files you'd like. The other is a manual install file.

Both allow max customization! Keep the feedback coming, and I'll keep the updates and mods coming!

Thank you mod authors! I love this mod. These sounds really make explosions feel more real and impressive!

Works on NG. If you havent heard it, you wont understand why you need this mod! Just try it.

How to remove the Molotov Cocktail

As dozens of people have already reported the Molotov cocktail sound is clearly bugged or was mistakenly created 5 times louder than it should be, it sounds more devastating than the nuke!
I was going to try to keep the sound but reduce the volume by 80%, however, it's just going to be a lot easier to remove it and keep the original which is already fine, it's not great but it will do.

    • Download the mod however you like you just need to know where it's saved
    • Use WinRAR, 7zip, or any other archive tool to extract the zipped folder to a normal folder
    • Open the folder to: \Cinematic Sounds - Explosions\CineSounds-Explosions1.01\Data\Sound\FX\FX\Explosion
    • Delete the Molotov folder
    • Then go back to the main folder, right-click, and repack as archive so it is now back to a zipped folder
    • Then drag it into your mod manager to install it as normal

I like this mod, especially the nuke/cars. It works really well with, Binaural 3D Surround Sound for Headphones mod.

However... the Molotov Cocktail!! Is it a bug, it's about 5 times louder than a nuke! I've just tested the mod for 10 minutes and I actually have a ringing in my ears, everything else is good but the Molotov is insanely loud. I'll see if I can edit it to reduce the volume, if not then I can't use this mod it's way too loud.

Hmm, nice mod, I wonder what I can do with it?

    Aha, I know...

I'll booby trap a corridor with remote explosives and saw blades traps. Set up the laser tripwires and laser turrets. Maybe even throw around a few spider mines, trapfu mines and bouncy traps for chaotic dismembering mayhem. Then I lure my enemies. I wait and watch as they trigger my contraptions, all hell breaks loose, and as the blood and gore explode in glorious kabooms, I zoom in to snipe headshots at the stragglers as more enemies pour in, and I trigger VATS and watch my limbs get blown off in slo-mo stupefaction, as my dying gurgling cackles of glee echooo along with the boooms reverberating across the corridor of doom. *MUA HA HA HA, BOOM BOOM BOOM*

Not a huge fan of how your molotov sounds, they are way too intense and a little harsh sounding. It makes them sound far more "dangerous" than more explosive, immediately damaging grenades. It's less realistic AND makes little sense in fiction/ for gameplay purposes.

https://youtu.be/lfvceHUBWnU?t=82 There's a good reference for what a real molotov sounds. It'd be awesome to have that pumped up on steroids and maybe a stronger crackling fire effect. Still "cinematic" but more fitting IMO. Great work otherwise and I know you probably won't redo it haha just figured if you were the type to appreciate feedback that I'd give mine.

I agree there was something a little too much about the molotov sounds, but to each their own ;). The rest was absolutely mwahh bellissimo, many thanks to you OlFosterlO :)

Anyone in the same boat as me, unzip the file, delete the molotov folder, rezip the folder, bam you have OlFosterlO's Cinematic Explosions minus la molotov, using this newly created zip file just follow the same install instructions as you would with the original. Happy 'sploding :D

It doesn't mess with anything graphical therefore sound mods don't alter FPS
