DISCLAIMER :
If you want to update Allure Dyes mid playthrough, please use Volitio's Mod Uninstaller before removing the old version of the mod from your files.
Load your save. Open Mod Uninstaller in MCM. Use the drop down to find Allure Dyes’ old version. Click “uninstall”. Save your game. Repeat for as many saves you want to update and keep playing with. When done, you can move Allure 1.0 from your Mods folder into a backup folder, and add Allure 2.0 to your load order. If your save isn't loading, you have followed the process incorrectly, or another mod is causing issues. Your save shouldn't be broken and can be salvaged. Put back Allure Dyes 1.0 (alongside any other mod you might've uninstalled) in your load order and repeat the process. When you can safely load your save without it, feel free to delete Allure Dyes 1.0 from your computer.

TROUBLESHOOTING :
  • Containers have been deleted for the sake of cleaning up data while working through the conversion to Toolkit process. This means your game will read data as missing if you switch mid playthrough from Allure 1.0 to Allure 2.0. Please, properly uninstall Allure 1.0 via the aforementioned method. Thank you.

  • The individual original character container system has been ditched. What is useful for me certainly isn't to a random Nexus user. It was a lot of clicking around. I am keeping an Original Character pouch for my sake, but it should be far more tolerable to navigate for you all.

  • I do not recommend supplanting uninstalling Allure 1.0 with loading Allure 2.0 after the old version in your load order, since they still share some UUIDs, and therefore, will overwrite each other. I cannot promise the mod will behave as expected if you decide to ignore my warning.

  • Some dye color parameters are still missing. They are not a priority, but I will add them in a future update. Adding all possible color parameters to dyes on the Toolkit is easy when you have 20 dyes. Triple, quadruple that? Not so much. This should only be relevant if you use modded outfits, and only minimally so. All equipment I have tested, vanilla and modded, behaved appropriately except for Astarion’s base armor’s undershirt, alongside some rare feathers and fur. Missing parameters include :
-PrimaryColor
-SecondaryColor
-TetriaryColor
-Primary
-Secondary
-Tertiary
-Primary_Color
-Secondary_Color
-Tertiary_Color

Plans in the upcoming months :
-More dyes!
-All color parameters supported.
-Properly updated screenshots showcase on Nexus.

I shall now finally get to play through BG3’s 8th patch…maybe. I hope you enjoy this update. Thank you for reading. Feel free to share your own characters wearing the dyes in the images tab. I would love to see your Tavs and Durges.

Allure - Stylish and diverse dyes 1.0

Allure is a dye collection comprising 42 unique vials, 55 if counting minor alts.

I am the kind of player who has almost every dye mod downloaded, spends 5 hours trying them on all my characters and party members, yet struggles to find my particular niche. That is how Allure came to be, about two months ago. It is my very first mod. Initially for my own characters, the project expanded and I decided to make dyes unrelated to them. I wanted to cover a wide range of palettes, from high to low contrast, light to dark, colorful to washed out. Hopefully you will find the perfect dye here?

The dyes will spawn in the infamous Tutorial Chest, hence I highly recommend using Wesslen's Tutorial Chest Summoning mod. I also recommend using Distinctive Dyes alongside Better Dyeing for lovely QOL features.

If you want to uninstall the mod mid-playthrough, proceed using the Mod Uninstaller and read up carefully on its use and requirements. I am not responsible if you brick your saves.

Want to make your own dyes? P4 has exactly what you need to get started.

Want me to make dyes for you? Feel free to reach out to me for commissions.

NOTE : I was 3 hours in in screenshotting hell when I noticed I forgot to remove my edits/mods for my party members. Please keep comments civil on the matter, especially Karlach and Jaheira’s faces, thank you.

Karlach didn't want to dance...
