Not an update but new:

These files are all compatible with NoiraFayn's Piercing Improvement - Physics!
Use their version which overrides vanilla sets for it to work

⫸ What / Why:

Just some edited vanilla piercings for CC done for no other reason than curiosity and personal preference. From minor changes all the way to "use all available piercing slots" sets. Bit of everything (within limits of what I can easily do with available piercings). Works with Magic Mirror.

There are two versions: Standalone and Loose
  • Standalone: creates new piercings in the piercing list in CC. Doesn't overwrite anything. Can use base sets and Trips' sets together.
  • Loose: replaces vanilla piercings. Can only use one set at a time. May be use together with Standalone sets.

Looking for recolors?
Ghouls Vanilla Piercing Recolors are compatible with this one (or one you make with my modder's resource). Update: the installation of this mod has been made much easier, now as a pak mod! See modpage for details. If using the pak version there is no need to have extra recolors for barbarian piercings, as they are included.

Now with compatibility versions for Trips' Accessories!
  • Same set of piercings as my base edits - but with some of Trips' Accessories thrown in
  • Loose File version: Only install one Piercing Edits: Piercing Edits  -OR-  Piercing Edits - Trips
  • Standalone  version: can be installed together with Piercing Edits
  • You need to have Trips' mod installed for this to work :P
  • Compatible with Ghouls' Vanilla Recolors as well.

Want just earrings?
Nekojiita's Just Earrings may have what you are looking for!

⫸ Installation Instructions:

Standalone versions (recommended):
Spoiler:
Show

  •  Download one or more "Standalone" versions (may be used together).
  •  Unzip the downloaded file(s) and place the jerinski_piercingedits.pak into your game's Mods folder:
  •  Use BG3 Mod Manager and move mod(s) from Inactive over to Active Mods. If using versions with Trips' compatibility drag mine so they load after theirs. Save load order and then Export to game.
  •  In CC you should now see the piercings at the end of the piercing list.

To update mod just overwrite the .pak in your Mods folder.

Loose versions (replacers):
Spoiler:
Show

  •  Unzip the downloaded file, open it.
  •  Drag and drop the Data folder into your game's base directory
    (e.g. the default with Steam is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3 )
  •  If you are prompted to Replace, do so. Everything should automatically go into place. Done!

You don't need to create any folders, the following is just if you want to double check your paths if they are correct:

Baldurs Gate 3
|__  Data
|__  Public
|__  Shared
|__  CharacterCreation
|__ CharacterCreationAccessorySets.lsx

To uninstall loose versions, follow the above path and simply delete the CharacterCreationAccessorySets.lsx file.

⫸ Notes / Issues:

  • Replacer versions not compatible with other piercings replacer mods as they use the same file. Replacers may also affect NPCs.
  • This doesn't add new piercing items, just moves some stuff around.

⫸ Want to DIY?:

Modder's Resource (opt. files): I've uploaded a copy of the unedited CharacterCreationAccessorySets.lsx with notes added regarding which UUID goes to which piercing. If I can bash these together, so can you! Includes a small how-to guide and handy references to Trips' accessories, so you can easily use those in your sets as well (you need the mod installed for it to work).

Modder's Resource - PAK Tutorial (opt. files): To be used with the annotated lists from Modder's Resource. A quick tutorial/template for making your piercings list a standalone .pak mod.

Chumy has made a handy visual reference for vanilla piercings: link here

Thanks to:

  • Shinyhobo for the Modders Multitool or I would have no idea what all these UUIDs mean
  • Tripsadin for letting me use their piercings in my sets and resource template <3
  • Ghouls0Rules for figuring out piercing recolors and making them compatible with these <3
  • The Down by the River Discord community
  • Procrastination
