Author notes
The meshes in this mod are basically vanilla so you are welcome to use them for your own hair mashups to save time on cutting out the parts. I would appreciate being mentioned if you do that, but it isn't necessary.
Please DM me if you have any questions about my permissions.

For version 1.5.0, aka the Patch 8 update, I decided to split this into multiple mods. The ImprovedUI dependency has also been removed! Vanilla has hair parts with minimal edits. Repositioned has parts that have been, well, repositioned (like turning ponytails into twintails). Custom is more heavily customized parts, such as those from my regular hair mod.
Here's the slot system: Crest Slot - Top parts (like high ponytails and buns) Chin Slot - Side/chest parts (like the Duster Braids or Pinned Tresses) Jaw Slot - Bangs Tail Slot - Low/back parts (like low ponytails/buns/braids/tresses)
Additionally, all parts are added to the Beard slot.
The little symbols in the icons indicate versions; left and right arrows for a part that is only on the left or right (like side ponytails!), gold or silver symbols (based on D&D coins!) for what color metal accessories are, and a rainbow symbol if the accessories use HornTipColour.

Known Issues:
Hair extensions appear for Dragonborn too (because I tied them to the Humanoid tag to make them compatible with custom races and Dragonborn fall under that tag; very low priority)
Weird interactions between hairs with physics (explained in old FAQ article; cannot fix)
Colors not matching with base hairs (has to do with different hairs having different textures & presets; can't fix)
Frequently Asked Questions
However, if you want to make a patch to enable the parts in other slots, feel free to do so as long as it is dependent on this mod.[/spoiler] Can you add an option that has two parts together?
Spoiler:

I would rather not. Adding combo options (that don't come from the same base hairstyle) could get overwhelming very quickly.
If you would like to merge some options together yourself, the BG3 Modding Community Wiki has resources to help, and the folks in the Down By The River and BG3 Modding Community discord servers are quite friendly (and a huge reason that I've been able to learn so much after having never touched Blender or xml files prior to October 2023)
Why doesn't the color on some hair extensions match with regular hairs?
Spoiler:
Show
A lot of vanilla hairstyles don't share the same texture, and the texture is part of what determines how the hair is colored.
While some textures are pretty similar to each other, others may be lighter or darker than the others (not to mention being straight/wavy/curly/coily/etc.) so if the hair extension doesn't share the same texture as the regular hair you pair it with, there's a good change there will be a minor color discrepancy.
Download it, unzip, and install with your mod manager (I use BG3MM).
You can find the info needed for Manual Installation in the info.json file that comes with each pak.
Uninstallation
You should be safe to simply remove it from the load order and/or delete it. The hair parts should simply disappear from any characters using them; the only issue would be that the next time you use the Magic Mirror on that save, you might have to hit "randomize" before you can save your new appearance.
