About this mod
My solution to Covenant. Easily defensible. Only Transfer Settlements required. No DLC required. Now updated with Transfer Settlements V1.41.
- Permissions and credits
I will tell you straight, I do not like Covenant and only use it to get on Macready's good side.
I love that 'Killshot' perk. ;)
You can not repair the in place turrets once destroyed. It has a tiny area to work in, a low settlement budget, the lowest build height in the game and is difficult to defend because of the houses in the line of fire.
But for those that want to give it a try, and to have all settlements blueprints, here is the best build I have come up with from a dozen or so tries.
This 'Castle' has -
- 21 Beds (My OCD gene at work)
- 24 Water (Better Generators )
- 24 Food
- 127 Defense - Please read Additional Notes.
- All crafting workbenches.

Additional Castle Covenant Notes
As I have mentioned, I do not like Covenant. You also can not give any orders to the residents.
Well, you can give orders to some of them... but they will do their own scripted stuff anyway...
*** IMPORTANT*** The first thing you need to do once you get access to the workshop is scrap every house door in the settlement. Late at night the house doors automatically lock and reduce your settlement beds by 9. Regardless of the fact that the residents are sleeping in there they will constantly bitch about not enough beds. If you pick the locks the residents will attack you. It is easier to just scrap them.
(May 2018) *SPOILER*
Just as an experiment I decided to not go along with the standard way you get Covenant and killed the doctor that was going to kill Stockton's daughter. When I got back to Covenant the entire place agroed me... so of course I killed them. :)
As with Graygarden and Sunshine Tidings Co-op, if any NPC robots are residing in your settlement they are hard coded to have a 'Happiness' of 50% and it can not be raised, the only exceptions being Codsworth & Curie because they are classed as Companions.
It makes it much easier to get Happiness above 80% and also gets rid of all those useless residents you can't give orders to.
Attacks will come from anywhere. Eventually they have to come to the front door where I have directed all of the firepower.
I HIGHLY recommend no missile turrets on this site. You will just end up killing your own settlers and NPCs.
I have a series of heavy laser turrets that will handle most attacks.
Don't bother with a Bunker Hill trading camp, they come here anyway.
I have not added stores as a Doctor and Vendor are on site.
You will have two wires running through the middle of this build.
Open the console (~), click on the offending wires, ONLY those wires, and once the game code appears in the console type 'disable' and hit 'Enter'. I recommend saving before doing this. It will be a little bit of a pixel hunt to click on the wires for the codes and you may have to move a couple of times to get it.
Installation
The folder needs to be extracted and placed in your 'Transfer Settlements' folder. 7zip

None of my blueprints are designed to be pretty... :)
What they are designed to be is to not require all DLC, two mods maximum required, easily defensible,
stay within the 'Vanilla' game budget and have everything you need.
